Love this little quaint hotel in St. Petersburg with such a rich history. Everything was great including the continental breakfast. The only issue we had during our stay on the balcony was locking the main door with the security latch and going out the balcony doors that we couldn’t open from the outside due to the over painted door handle, it wouldn’t turn to open the door. We had to have the maintenance guy come down and help us essentially break into our own hotel room. Other than that, we only stayed one night but wish we could’ve stayed longer. We will definitely keep this place in mind for future stays in the area.

Enjoyed staying here again. Service is very good, people are friendly. Breakfast is good. A little noisy on a busy intersection. Could use some newness. Musty smell in some areas including the room.

The hotel has allot of charm. Breakfast was delicious. Very clean and quiet hotel. Just wish had more places closer so could walking. The parking was free and never an issue . The staff reaching out day of trip providing room ready and other details. Very nice touch

This is an old historic hotel, so carpet throughout. But we thought it was perfect, it’s very quiet in the hotel but you are on a busy road.
People are polite. We brought dinner in late and sat outside on the veranda very nice. Had a good breakfast and we’re off to the airport the following day.

Grand throwback Hotel. Clean, comfortable and a bit nostalgic. Highly recommend.

Wonderful Hotel, very good breakfast.

The Hotel was without Water for about 4 hours and without Hot Water for about 6 hours mid day. The rooms smelled a little musty. The Dinning Room Staff was very good, friendly. One night I woke up to yelling/fighting in the room above me. No Gym. Pool is small. We like the Character of the Hotel and have stayed here before.

Nice clean older hotel just over the causeway from Treasure Island. Comfortable beds and rooms. Great breakfast served in beautiful dining room. Only downside of visit was lack of any hot water several times over our stay. I mean no hot water whatsoever!

A historic hotel to celebrities of the 30s. Babe Ruth and Marilyn had suites at this water view hotel. Wonderful staff and very clean and quiet. A must see.

I’ve stayed here before in many rooms. A lot of choices and history behind them. They have a lovely lounge at]rea, pool area and the best breakfast that’s included. It as usual was wonderful. And free parking! See ya again!

The Crystal Bay Hotel was a gem. It is registered as National Historical Site, and you can see the charm when you stay there. If the walls could talk! The room was perfect for us as my husband & I stayed for the weekend. They offered a full self-serve breakfast, so you definitely won't leave hungry. They also offer coffee/tea & water throughout the day. It is close to Treasure Island beaches, restaurants & shops. The staff was super friendly and helpful when asked for something. The property was clean but take into account that the building was built in 1915, so it's not your new Hyatt or Marriott hotel. We would definitely stay there again!

We loved this hotel. Reservations were easy. Customer service called us as soon as our rooms were ready. Which was well before check in time. We booked 3 rooms. They made sure we were all next to each other. Parking directly across was easy accessible. Having key pad entry to rooms made it easy( as I have a habit of forgetting key cards). After hours the front door is key pad entry as well for safety. The rooms were very nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The staff were always pleasant. I would highly recommend staying here. We can’t wait to visit again.

The breakfast was very good and the dining area was nice. The people tending to the area were very attentive and friendly. The inside of the hotel could use a bit of a facelift and maybe some artwork on the walls of our room would have warmed it up a bit. The staff was very nice and overall we enjoyed our stay.

Old Hollywood feel hotel. Close to Tropicana field and other sites, yet set out of the way in a lively part of town. Very nice... will stay again.

This is a hotel that could use some up updating. It’s great to keep the original structure and pride that goes with all the history it contains but at least update the rooms to make them worth the money you pay.
Self Check in was great with keyless number pad on the door.
The bathroom needs work with simple old sink, no counter smelled of mold when turning on the water. The shower had little water pressure, light fixture rusty, and the bath fan seemed to be running but couldn’t do the job. They had nice coffee bar downstairs but no option for coffee in the room, nice clean refrigerator. The bed was hard but at least had air conditioning which worked great. The room was clean, staff very friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast in the dining room, Steel cut oatmeal was my favorite, bacon good too. I’ve stayed in a lot of B&B’s that were old Victorian historical homes, rooms classy and updated. I guess that is what I was expecting.
I would not stay there again.

While this is an older facility (historically) it is well keep. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfast and dinning area was very nice. The room we are in was very spacious and comfortable.
We were only going to stay one night but after checking in we decided to stay an extra night.

Awesome hotel, 4-night business trip, quiet / safe area, ample parking. Very close to Treasure Island, anything you want to eat very close. Elevator needs updating, the breakfast was good, just the eggs are powered, and the sausage wasn’t hot enough, just warmed a little…..

I have stayed here in the past and enjoyed it. The only downside this time was the extremely low quality of the towels and washcloths... The washcloth was so cheap and rough that I got a small abrasion on my face washing my makeup off. Then, the bath towel was so linty that I had pieces of lint in my hair and on my skin. Worse, I accidentally brushed up against the towel with black pants and I was covered in lint! It was as bad as owning a shedding, white dog. That was the last day I was in town for business and had 6 meetings. It was also the last pair of clean pants I had packed, and I don't travel with a lint roller (I have not needed one). I did the best I could to clean the pants, but there was still white on them. I informed the hotel staff and they did offer to provide a lint roller, but by then I needed to get to my first meeting. It was embarrassing to have to go through the day like that. Otherwise, the room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was great, and the staff was friendly and helpful. It's a nice little hotel, and I hope they see this review and make some changes to towels and washcloths for future guest comfort.

Lovely old hotel in a location that is fairly close to Treasure Island and other beaches. The room was comfortable with vintage furnishings. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very adequate though not scratch-cooked. Interesting neighborhood with some beautiful residences nearby. All in all, a great stay, just not a super-luxurious one.

This historic hotel has a lot of charm and personality. I enjoyed my stay here and the breakfast was great. At first I thought the spring mattress would be a problem since I'm used to sleeping on memory foam, but it was actually pretty comfortable. I did not bring my own shampoo and conditioner, and instead used the shampoo and conditioner provided by the hotel - that was a mistake. My hair felt so gunky and gross after using it. I couldn't wait to shower when I got home. The front of the hotel is nicely landscaped, but I don't think I'd be tempted to hang out there since it faces a busy intersection. The pool was not enticing at all. Of course it was cold when I visited, but still...small pool surrounded by a dark wooden fence with the background noise is traffic...not too appealing.
I will say, I like that they give you codes to use to access the hotel after hours and to access your room. Makes it easier for you to not lose a key card!
Overall, I enjoyed my stay, but probably would choose a more updated hotel in the future.

After two days, I changed rooms because the mattress was not firm. I picked the third room I was shown, because the other two were just as soft. The staff was very accommodating
