Deschutes House Our calendar is updated in real-time & our nightly rates are accurately displayed. Simply enter your desired dates and click 'Book Now!' Tucked away among the pines on a peaceful acre of land, this woodland lodge makes a wonderful home base for your explorations of the Deschutes River, Mt. Bachelor, and the other beauties of Central Oregon. This home sits within a short walk of a dock on the banks of the Deschutes, allowing you to easily go kayaking, tubing, or fishing. You'll also be close to the slopes of Mt. Bachelor, the Cascade Lakes National Scenic Byway, downtown Bend, and world-class golf courses in every direction. After a day spent on the river or a nearby trail, come home to enjoy the lovely outdoor space by taking an afternoon nap in one of the hammocks, reading on the upstairs balcony, or lighting the gas grill on the deck for a sunset barbecue in the fresh pine air. The interior living space is perfect for cozy nights spent at home, whether you're preparing dessert in the well-appointed kitchen, gathering around the dining room table for board games, or streaming movies in the warmth of the woodstove (logs are provided for your convenience). Of the three bedrooms, one is a primary suite upstairs with its own desk workspace, and balcony for your morning coffee at sunrise. The water throughout the house smelled the notice says is because is well water and is the mineral in the water, the smell is not mineral it is rust from the pipes or the water heater is rusted inside that is why everything to do with the water smells like rust and all the stain on the toilet is from the rust. I had to buy gallons of water to shower and drink and brush our teeth. There were cobwebs near the fireplace by the ceiling stair lights did not work, some kitchen cabinets were dirty near the sink, the window sill were not vacuumed the company that cleaned the house or whomever did the cleaning did not do a good job.

Loved being in the trees and close to the river! The house is on a well but you get used to the water. Plenty of space and family friendly! Can’t wait to visit again!

Upon checking into the unit, your maintenance manager or property manager told my son the oven wasn’t working properly for the previous renter. Ok, we thought they would be sending someone out to fix it. We were gone skiing the next day. When we got back to the cabin we proceeded to fix dinner. We like to fix our own meals. We preheated the oven to 350. It appeared to be working. We found out it was not. It didn’t heat over 200. We now have to complain because your employee knowingly did not have it fixed. The next day after being out all day, the appliance repair man was there fixing the oven. He confirmed it was not holding the temp it should. Why do we have to bitch to get something you know needs fixing. Terrible business practice. I also had to tell to property manager that the water was not drinkable. He sent a case of water out for 5 people for 5 nights. He did not send any more. We then had to buy our own water. You should have a warning upon renting this property to bring your own water! The floors were sticky when we got there-my wife is in her hands and knees wiping the floors with paper towels. Is that the way to be on vacation? The toilets, sink and showers have rust stains so bad it looks like someone pooped in them and let it sit for days. My god, get better cleaners or update the property. You didn’t show pictures of that in your VRBO ad. Why did I think I rented from VRBO and all of our correspondence ended up being vacasa.? I could go on and on. Your property manager asked what he could do to make it right. I told him and he stopped corresponding. Why ask if you really don’t plan to do anything. Incompetent! Joel Grey 360-271-6396
