If you're looking for a cozy, well-maintained riad with attentive hosts, this is your place!

Riad Atika Mek is very well maintained and decorated. It feels like you're staying in a friend's home. The host, Jacques is very attentive to guests while at the same time remaining unobtrusive. He is an interesting man with many stories and is always ready to give advice when asked. His wife, Atika is also very friendly. The location is fairly straightforward and not too far from the Bab Hissi (across from the museum). The roof is extensive and has many relaxing spots to sit and enjoy the view of the medina and surrounding hills.

Everything was perfect.

Most characterful accommodation we visited in Maroc.

Lovely decor; very classy. Spectacular roof terraces with shady areas. Great welcome from a wonderful hostess; fabulous service and an enormous breakfast. Very central location - the Meknes medina is very sheltered from the sun.

Shame we only stayed one night!

Friendly owner, great breakfast (vegan friendly! The owner went out of his way, was curious about why people are vegan and gave us an extra fruit basket) and location directly in the medina. The terrace offered wonderful views and decoration.

Very recommend Rial in Meknes

First, jack, the place owner was great. Very kind and helpful. He made us feeling at home. Very delicious breakfast. We arrived quite late and Jack waited. Very recommend place for visiting Meknes and the medina.

Guests should consider that arriving the riad with big suitcases is tough, since it requires 10 minutes walking in the crowded streets of the Medina.

excellent riad

The owners and staff are warm, super friendly and available. The Riad is GORGEOUS and the terrace is simply exceptional: I spent hours relaxing there. I'll be back.

Nothing bad, just a tip: my travel companion is a tall man, and he was staying in one of the single rooms. The bed was a little 'short' for him, so pick a double room if you are big :D

Comfortable, but a bit pricey for what you get

-central location in the medina -friendly and nice hosts

-wifi didn’t reach the top floor -breakfast was nice, but basic. Just bread and jam essentially.

Meknes was just not worth it

Beautiful huuuuge rooftop terrace (the biggest I’ve ever seen in Morocco); central location and great hospitality by the local owners. I wish I could’ve has my breakfast on the rooftop instead of down in the rather cold and dark living room without windows.

I was the only guest and the atmosphere was a bit odd, it’s a huge house with many rooms which were all empty and dark and the house smells a bit bad, it could really use some fresh air from outside. But since it’s so deep in the medina most rooms don’t have windows which explains the smell and darkness. The breakfast was ok but nothing compared to all my other stays where you get fresh eggs etc. Also I was disappointed to find out that the whole city of Meknes is full of construction works, so there wasn’t much to see. I left after one night.

the owners are very kind. They expleined us that this Riad was 400 years old. The Riad was clean and the cook was good. the best part of this Riad is the Terrace and the incredible view.

Very nice time at a wonderful terrace at centrally located Riad

located right in the Medina. The terrace on the roof was awesome. Breakfast was excellent. Hosts were very friendly and helpful.

A GREAT place to stay in Meknes!

I loved this Riad! It is located in the Medina so it is easiest to find using GPS and asking for help within the Medina. It is a beautiful place, very traditional with an outstanding terrassa! I can't say enough good things about the owners. They were extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful!! I enjoyed the breakfast very much. I appreciated the recommendations that Jacque gave me, including the Restaurant Aisha which was close by. It served outstanding food! Thank you for being such gracious hosts!!

Perfect location to get together with colleagues and talk about work and socialise at the same time

There are many things, which have made my stay unforgettable. I very much appreciate the time Jack and Atika took to welcome us, and tell us about the history of the riad. The rooms were great, each one coming with its own character. The breakfast in the morning is served with much attention and care. The view from the roof terrace over Meknes is amazing. Never in my life will I forget the storks that danced in the sky above the riad, and the sound of the call to prayer, from five mosques, that enveloped us at the end of the afternoon, just before the sun set!

Everything was good. I have no recommendations. Just keep everything as it is!

The Riad Atika is an amazing place place to stay, it has the most beautiful terraces I saw in Morocco and it was fantastic to learn about the history of the building. Plus the breakfast, which is really good.

I had a beautiful stay. The room was super comfortable and the rooftopterasse is gigantic. The hosts where super nice, she even went jewlery shopping with me after someone tried to scam me. I had a great time and felt perfectly safe as a solo femal traveler.

Google maps says that you can drive there but you can't, it's in the middle of the Medina. That's not a bad thing, you just have to know.

I highly recommend this Riad to anyone staying in Meknes! The hosts are amazing and the Riad is beautiful.

Friendly and helpful hosts, a beautiful view from the terrace, great breakfast options, great location. This stay was an absolute 10/10!

There is nothing negative to say about this Riad. My stay here was perfect.

This is the one.

This might be the best riad I’ve been to. The location is close to all the attractions, while it is completely quiet in the Riad itself. The owners are very nice, the breakfast is amazing and best of all is the rooftop terras with a 360 degree view of all of Meknes. It sounds a bit over the top, but it really is great.

Very friendly and helpful owners who made me feel at home and gave me plenty of travel advice for Meknes and Volubilis. Terrace is wonderful with plenty of comfortable sofas for a nap while listening to the chirp of the birds. Good location.
