Nice room stay and a great get away to Luray Caverns and Cooters Museum

Half eaten food on floors. Dirty stained sheets and towels. Hair in the tub and it leaked the whole night. Was given the wrong room, they did correct that though. No breakfast, lunch bag with mini water, crackers, banana and granola bar.

We booked this room because we were going to Luray Caverns for my daughters 9th birthday and it was affordable for my fiance, myself, and 5 kids. The booking stated Free Breakfast also which is nice with all the kids. The breakfast is NOT continental.. it's "grab and go" which I never knew was a thing. It consisted of a brown paper bag containing a banana, a tiny water bottle, a granola bar, and pb crackers. Honesty, I didn't know if I should laugh or be mad. Also, the rooms do not have microwaves or blow dryers lol. We packed snacks for the kids, like popcorn for watching a bedtime movie, which we then had to take to the lobby and use the "community microwave." The floors were dirty and i actually washed a few areas where there was some old brown sticky stuff that was never cleaned. We stayed Friday til Sunday and never saw housekeeping until the morning of checkout when she stopped to see if we were leaving. Also, out back of the place is a giant overflowing dumpster. Its got mattresses sticking out and i don't think one more bad of trash could possibly fit. I'm pretty laid back when it comes most things and I don't normally make complaints on businesses, but I don't think this place actually gets cleaned. I think they just reset the room so it looks like stuff was done and then keep on keepin on lol... I won't ever stay there again. It's not an awful place...I just think it needs to be ran by people who actually give a crap.

The door didn't latch and after the disbelieving staff checked it out, indeed it didn’t. They then very nicely helped me move to another room .

The place is run down and dingy and to top it all off there was a crack through the door u could literally just see thru

Floors were dirty. Heater was making much noises and did not heat very well.
Reception was very slow and did not give proper magnetic card accès to room , had to wait 20 minutes after another guess checked in to get accès card.
Linens were stained like they weren’t bleached. Much more to sas!

We were given the wrong room and we had to move to another room. They gave us a room with 2 double beds instead of the 2 queen beds and they tried to convince us that the double bed is actually the same as the queen bed.
The booking states that there is free breakfast but we were told there was no breakfast because they are doing renovation and forgot to update on the booking site.

Average hotel …. Bed to sleep in … toilet to use and shower to wash up !!
No coffee maker in the room , you have to walk to the lobby for a coffee . No continental breakfast as stated , you’ll get a banana, a water and crackers !
Top covers had burn holes .. not appealing when you want to lay down .
Overall just a place to sleep for $70 …. I’d give the same review if it was $35 a night

place felt dirty and with overpowering smell if incents. We had to wait to be registered and didn't receive welcoming greeting. During attending to our registration, the clerk was dividing his attention between us and the cellphone tucked to his air. There was no microwave in the room, no coffee maker, by vanity sink there were no any light. we are not staying in this hotel again.

The room was not cleaned very good and there was no stopper in the tub so you couldn’t get a bath it was a shower only.

Dirty room. no microwave which I thought they had in room. No coffee pot which I thought they said had in room. Pills laying on ground in room. Wires hanging out of wall where smoke or fire detector should have been.

The hotel and room was fine for someone passing through. Pretty basic. I've stayed in much worse. The lot in back of the motel was a bit "junky" with old trailers and chairs in view. But for a one night stay passing through, it was fine.

At our age,it is perfect including location. Wanted to visit and tour battlefield for years. Absolutely perfect location.Could walk to museums and other points. beautiful to look over the valley into the mts. If live long enough, will gladly go back and stay while expanding visits. Thanks to all. Loved it for close access also to town. Waited 70 yrs to do visit and could not be more satisfied.

Room was dirty upon check in, housekeeping walked in after 1 knock without waiting for someone to answer the door, staff was hard to communicate with, room was infested with ants.

The floor was dirty with some kind of bugs, the tv did not work properly and had to call the office several times, there was no microwave in the room as the pictures advertised, the only one was in the public lobby where you register. The registration crew does not have any customer service skills and was not welcoming.

This hotel claimed to have a lobby area with a nice breakfast buffet but in reality its all closed up and they give you a brown paper bag with a tiny water, banana, and crackers in it. When asked about it the guy just glared at me and didn't respond. When I asked for any receipt he did the same. A lady staying at the hotel down from us had her phone stolen from her room when she went to the front desk. Super dirty and very very poor service!!

Don't let the picture fool you. If you get a room on the front side of the hotel it's a lot nicer. They originally had put me in a room in front of the pool area which was a nice room. I had notified them that I was on oxygen & had a service dog so I couldn't walk far. Well all the parking is in the back & I was in the middle of the building to get from the parking lot. After walking too my room & opening the door I was already out of breath on oxygen. Went back to the front desk & the boy helping me wasn't understanding what I was trying too tell him so he went & got someone to help him. I had booked a King room non smoking & when they moved me they put me on the back side of the building by the parking which is what I needed but in a Dbl Queen that when I opened the door the smell of cigarette smoke about knocked me out. Mind you they were looking right @ me on Oxygen & gave me this room! And outside the room it said No-Smoking. The ppl next door were BBQ outside on there grill. There were broken down vehicles & parts laying in the back of the parking lot. The door was so dirty you didn't even want to touch it to close it. QUIT OBVIOUS that the ppl who lived there were on the backside of the hotel. I would never stay here again even if it was for free. HORRIBLE!

Stayed 2 weekends in a row. 1st weekend room had mold growing in shower and dead roaches on the floor. 2nd weekend room had mold growing above sink and shower head was about to fall off wall. Ants all over sink. Had to force door closed. Some outlets did not work so had to search to find one to plug stuff in.

I booked this room with my points for my bday. We were only staying for 1 night. I then read the reviews on this place and almost canceled. I'm glad i didn't. The only thing that was wrong with this room was the headlamp next to the bed didn't work. Room was clean, we had a smoking room, shower was awesome, bed sheets were clean.

Beer cans and cigarette butts everywhere. It appears many people are living in this hotel permanently. The room itself was very sparse, but clean. No in-room coffee pot. Breakfast was “grab and go” in a brown bag and contained water, peanut butter crackers, a banana and a generic brand granola bar.

Took 3 tries to get us a room, no lights in the first, defestive door lock in the second, finally got a room on the third try....and tgen the TV would not work.... 😦

The hotel was ok. Some spots above the sink that looked like there had been a leak. Hotel was clean. Pillows are tiny. Not very friendly service at check in, I think he said 4 words to us, ID and room number xxx, but wasn't bad, just not very friendly. Great views.

My initial impression was bad when I saw big weeds growing out of the flower gardens. And then the green pool that apparently hasn’t been used in a long time. Once in the room I noticed one of the lights between the beds didn’t work. Not a big deal. But then the light over the sink didn’t work. Really big deal! Can’t shave without light!

Starting with positives: the shower (no tub)/sink/counter and flooring (pvl, vinyl plank, maybe) all looked new.That's all I can offer. The concerns: there aren't any elevators (request a ground floor if that would be an issue). I had two joining rooms as there were 5 of us staying. In one room, the light fixture in the bathroom was very dim/flickered (think disco light). I complained to front desk attendant-he fixed it somewhat quickly. Sheets on one of the beds were stained (rust, maybe?!). In the other room: stained towels/wash cloths; didn't bother looking at the sheets because I wasn't going to sleep on their sheets anyway. Ended up buying towels of my own and a couple blankets/throws to use for the night. The AC/heat unit had power going to it (lights were on) but it never once came on even after adjusting the fan speed or temp. (It was late so I didn't bother mentioning this until leaving) Thankfully it wasn't too hot or too cold so it wasn't needed, anyway. In both rooms, we had a couple stink bugs as well as old, dead bugs on the floors, mainly behind the chair so not noticeable unless you happened to look for it; we found those because we needed to find the plugs to charge our devices. Beds were weird; not horrible but also not comfortable. No rollaway beds as shown in the description and breakfast was snacks in a brown paper bag. All in all, it was okay just for the night but I won't be staying here again.
