The staff were very friendly and accommodating. However! When I emailed the hotel Thur or Fri inquiring about parking they sent a generic letter no individual response indicating there was parking and the price. When we arrived we were informed that the garage was full and we had to figure it out on our own. This was upsetting as we were tired from braving traffic and just wanted to relax a bit before dinner, I was in tears by the time I actually figured out parking 40 min around dc blocks circling . Otherwise the hotel was in a good location. The courtyard was lovely and there’s complimentary coffee in the morning

Gorgeous historic hotel on a quiet street about 20 min walk from the mall. Has subdued Chinese accents. Rooms are clean, spacious and traditional. Staff is courteous and organized.

The staff were very friendly I booked my room with hotels.com and I received a suite when I arrived that was 2 floors everything was very clean the beds were very comfortable and clean I didn’t go to the restaurant it didn’t have enough options for me also the plates were a little small looking for me but overall I had a great stay at the Morrison Clark historic inn

The hotel is quite nice, the room was very spacious and clean. It is suited quite close to the national mall which is an advantage if you want to explore that area. Only small negative aspect was that the staff was not really knowledgable about connections to the airport.

Veldig vennlig stab.

Although my room was a bit dark, it was very clean and functional. Slippers and free shoe-shine are provided. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Coffee and hot water were provided in the lobby every morning. A guest can enjoy a nice breakfast at the restaurant.

Quiet and comfortable! Small and charming.

I loved everything about this hotel. Clean, comfortable, spacious room, incredibly courteous staff, killer location, it has it all. The staff let me check-in a little early. And check out wasn't until 12:00pm. Everything about this hotel appealed to me and I will always look here first now when I come to Washington, DC.

Due to being in town for a conference, we had to stay at a different hotel for the first portion of our visit. I only wish we could’ve stayed at this hotel the entire time! Beautiful quiet, super clean, incredibly friendly. Everything you could ask for, and even more.

We enjoyed the location, the service and the comfort and would stay there again. The price was very fair for Washington DC.

I greatly appreciate being recognized as a return guest. The general manager provided a personalized note and a fruit plate. It was a very nice touch!

Beautiful place! Friendly staff and extra clean rooms. Beds…not so much. Left with a horrible back ache. Nonetheless, I would recommend. Street parking (if available) is the way to go. If not, $42 a day for valet parking.

I booked online and my only complaint is that I wanted to pay with a corporate card, but had to use my personal card.

Had a lovely time. Convenient location. Staff were excellent. Walked or ubered to great restaurants/bars and all of the mall.

A very nice historical hotel with all the modern amenities, at a good price. What more could you ask for?

Outstanding service. Every staff member was excellent. Thanks for a great stay.
(Only flaw: free coffee in the lobby could be better. But again--free.)

Well-appointed room. No bar of soap. Bathroom floor not thoroughly mopped.

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly, but the overall experience was subpar.
The bathroom in particular was disappointing with a very small tub and an overall dated look. Also, there was no soap, and what they delivered when I requested it was soap that I would expect to find in a budget motel.
Furthermore, I had to walk through the courtyard, in freezing temperatures, through the snow with ice on the ground to get to my room.
Disappointing overall experience, and I would not stay there again.

I had a really lovely stay over the MLK 3-day weekend. Very quiet, well-kept hotel.

Love this hotel, as it’s conveniently located near the mall, great dining, and incredible museums. This historic hotel has great interior architecture & unique little hotel rooms w/ a classic vintage hotel feel. And price point is amazing.

Very easy check-in and wonderful staff at front desk. Large, clean room. Wonderful, quirky, historic building. A nice change from anodyne chain hotels.

We loved our stay at this hotel. The staff were so kind and friendly. The property was beautiful. We had an elegant and delicious dinner at the hotel restaurant. We loved how easy it was to walk to the Smithsonian museums!

Inexpensive and clean property. About half a mile to the nearest metro stop which can get you anywhere.

It was amazing! Such a beautiful hotel, a modern but historic feel, super cute and I would definitely come back and stay here again! Thanks to all the friendly staff!

I did not like the fact that they could not accommodate my pickup truck but besides that it was an enjoyable experience.

Very clean. In need of a few upgrades in the bathroom—in particular the tub area—for safety. Otherwise the property is conveniently located. The accommodations were pleasant and clean and the staff was very courteous and helpful.

Very cool and unique old property. When I say "old" I don't mean that the property is not updated and modern, but the actual original buildings are over 100 years old and have that old charm. We stayed for 2 days, from New Year's Eve until January 2nd and were very pleased with our stay and pleasantness of the staff. If I had one qualm, it would be that the valet did not know how to drive a stick shift. Therefore, we had to park our own vehicle the first night. I would think when hiring a valet, one of the requirements for that position would be to have the ability and knowledge to drive all vehicles, not just automatic transmissions. Small qualm though, and still giving 5 stars because of how great our experience was. Thanks, guys n gals, we will definitely be back!

An opulent historical building with renovated comfortable rooms and the late XIXth century vibe. The staff is professional and friendly. The restaurant on the second floor provides descent brealfast and dining options, yet
many restaurants and cafes are very close to the hotel to diversify tge cuisine options. Note that yku can find free coffee and tea on the first floor in the morning. The place is within a walking distance to museums and galleries.

They remove the coffee/te availability at the Lobby early in the morning.
The Lobby bar closes early in the evening.

I’ll start with the positives… the two ladies at the front desk of Asian decent were beautiful, pleasant, and professional. The location is close to some great eateries and retail. Now the negatives… The room has a default temperature of 73 degrees so no matter how much the temperature increases it will immediately go back to 73 degrees which is a freezing feel after a shower and in general uncomfortable in the winter. I had to go spend money on a heater but not before coming down with a cold. Thanks, I couldn’t appreciate this more. Hanging the DND sign on the door is just as well because housekeeping will come anyway I happen to walk in after being out all day and someone was in my room with the pillows thrown down on the floor (yes you read that right) which is disgusting and one of many reasons why I prefer changing my linens only one lamp worked and the desk lamp didn’t work either. Overall would I stay again NO but if these things you don’t mind go for it you may like it

The only thing is that it was a little bit noisy, the fridge was making noises everything 15 min. Staff was very friendly and helpful as were the doorman’s.

Morrison-Clark Historic Inn was absolutely the best place we have ever stayed. Everything was perfect from check-in, staff, room, upgrade, doorman, bar and restaurant. We had a late flight home and they were so gracious to offer us a later checkout for a small fee. The weather was not great our last day, so the extra time was needed! We will absolutely stay here again & recommend to anyone.

Morrison Clark was a great place to stay if you are coming from out of town. Easily walkable to all of the sights (<30mins for everything).
Their staff were amazing - very attentive, personable and friendly. Will definitely be back in the future.

The front desk staff are super dry and come across rude. We left to NY for the day and came back to water that leaked from the outside rain into our room and wet my entire suitcase and shoes that were in the floor. There was NO apology from the front desk. No offering of assistance. The maintenance manager was the only one who even attempted to assist us by drying my tennis shoes so I had shoes to wear. Would NOT recommend. By far the worst stay I’ve had.
