Showers are bad, bathrooms get flooded

Overall grear although the elevator was out and that was a problem for my 75 year old father who has a bad hip. Rooms are clean but a bit dated. Staff was friendly. Parking was super easy.

The elevator did not work and hadn’t worked in about a week we were told. The entrance doors to hotel have a button to open doors, but one door didn’t open and the other only opened half way, making it difficult for a member of my group who is blind, to enter. When this was discussed with the receptionist she became defensive.

We stayed here recently during the Thanksgiving holiday. Staff was kind but not particularly so and definitely not available all the time. The hotel locks its exterior doors at 11pm, if you get back to the hotel after this time, you are at the mercy of the night staff being awake to answer a door bell. In our case they never did answer our multiple presses and we had to have someone else come down and let us in.
Cleanliness is just okay. They change the sheets and towels and that’s about it. The room was very dusty and the air filter on the HVAC unit in the room was clogged with dust and hadn’t been changed since early Aug (it is now late Nov).
Would I stay here again? Sure. It’s very close to mass transit and a nice downtown area. Will I ever clamor excitedly to others about this place? Probably not.

We enjoyed our stay with Swarthmore and would love to visit again the next time we are in the area. Our room was cozy, clean, and very comfortable. A home away from home.

Driving down from N.H. the Inn was easy to locate and convenient for our visit. The room was good size and fairly quiet. The hotel staff was polite and very friendly.
On our first night we ate in the Inn's restaurant, this was a one time event. I ordered a steak which was advertised a 16 oz. - lucky if it was 8 oz and quite tough. Ordered a $9:00 glass of wine and was charged $15:00 and the service was lacking.

We love the Swarthmore Inn. I have stayed there several times in the past 2 years. I have noticed that the room decor could be upgraded with fresh paint and a little spackle here and there. the shower was difficult to stay in position and the flow was a trickle. The ice machine which was on the other side of the wall had issues and sounded like it was running water all the time along with other noises.

Great place. Nice quiet location (in summer, no students). Had breakfast at the restaurant in the hotel. Good food, good service, minimalist decor. Very friendly staff.

Lovely city with old town charm. Steps from train station, making it easy to take a ride to town.
The hotel could use a bit of upgrading.

The front desk was not friendly or helpful. After check in I was given the wrong room number. The staff was not available and when I finally was able to speak to someone they were irritated with me. It was not my fault that I was given the wrong information.

We stayed here for the Taylor Swift concert and it was the perfect place. It was a short drive from the stadium, the staff was all wonderfully kind and friendly, and the beds were so comfortable after being on our feet for hours. We will definitely stay here again for any future concerts!

Room did not smell very good (musty? Lacking fresh air). Door was stuck to door frame and made a lot of noise on opening/closing. Excellent water pressure in the shower.

Safe area, nice small town feel. For us from the uk it was easy parking great room and the train was 2 mins away. Trains into Philly every hour straight to centre no change. Day in the city then train back. Felt safe, easier than expected. Made the right choice👍 local bar & the hotel bar 🍷🍷

Very friendly staff who assisted us in some last minute reservations changes. Easy walk to Swarthmore campus. Clean and comfortable Not much else in the area however. The restaurant was good and would eat there over the close by eateries.

Beautiful inn, tasty dinner, easy access to parking, helpful staff, and ideal proximity to both town and campus. Perfect spot for our campus tour w. our high schooler. Light rail right next door and a co-op for quick groceries a block away.

There were some noisy guests on the third floor in the evening and into the night. I should have called the desk but didn't. TVs on too loud and too much hoopla in the hallway!

I love the Inn! Everything here is wonderful - it is convenient, clean and the staff are incredibly friendly and kind. The *only* issue I could comment on is that while coffee is offered each morning it is always empty by 8:15. It would be nice if it was refilled.
