Location is nice. The split resort is confusing to find if you're not in the main complex where the check-in is. The rooms are pretty outdated, but not bad. The only reason I'm set at 3 out of 5 stars is because of the very weird and worthless upsell attempt after I checked in. I was a "VIP because I used Expedia" but it was just a glorified timeshare meeting pitch and that's embarrassing.

We had an awesome trip! This time was a girls trip, we left the men , the kids , and grandkids at home ! Everyone was so nice ! Our room, aka our apartment, was awesome! We 50something grannies never wanted to leave. We were so relaxed. Our room was so peaceful. We cannot wait to bring the family back, but also we can’t wait for our next girls trip.

Huge complex that is situated half way between San Antonio (great place) and Austin (OK place). The apartments are huge with great kitchens and lovely sized sitting rooms and bedrooms. The AC was wonderfully quiet and there was no noise from other apartments. We stayed in Ambassador complex which was a good drive from the main complex but it had its own pool etc for a lot less people which was nice. I cannot comment on the other apartments on the main complex as they did look more cramped. No views to speak of and road noise made sitting out on the balcony pointless. There was lots to do on site and most is free. I am sure in the summer it would get very busy. Had to give 1 for eco. Texas doesnt do Eco, so dont expect recycling options or solar panels or any of the basic stuff you should expect.

Everything was great. Beautiful views from the outside patio, 2 bedroom king beds for our family of 5 and it was perfect for us. The kitchen had everything I needed to cook for my family and well as TV in each room which helped with the kids. The pool was walking distance and family oriented pool. The kids didn’t want to get out. We are already planning our summer stay to come back.

Huge room. Very clean and spacious. Only bad thing is that check out is at 10 and they were knocking at my door before 10. As an IMG member I asked for a later check out but they didn’t honor it saying room was booked the next day.

This is a great place for your family with lovely views and spacious suites.

Family of 6 who extended the stay for an extra night. Our first room was large and spacious just a little dated. Our second room was smaller but redone. Both were great and both were 2 bedroom/2 bathroom. Phone didn't work in the first room but they sent someone out to check on it and they think it was a Spectrum problem. We had to continually call the front desk from our cell phones when we needed anything and the response from them was SLOW. Shower drain needed to be cleaned in the first room as well. It was nice to have the heated pools in March as well as the hot tubs. We will be back.

It was our second stay here. We love the location and comfort this hotel provides for a family but their check in process or the Vacation Desk specifically they send you to in order to pickup room key is terrible. Just give people and families an option to get to their room as soon as possible, especially late at night instead of taking 30 minutes. They used a well polished “yes, yes” technique to sign me up for one of their “presentations”. Without context I was offered 4PM late checkout, which I accepted. Then I was told that not too many people get this but I also qualify for up to 7 days free vacation in their hotel group Worldwide and asked me if I am interested. I said Yes. Little do I know after adding up a $120 cash credit to all listed, I got signed up for a “presentation about the property” that is 90 minutes and I have to take during my personal time on my 2 day getaway? I left and cancelled the next day. At that time they took away even the late check out time they initially offered me to accept WITHOUT CONTEXT. I was told that “customer service is their pride”. Not how I felt. This is a timeshare property and they use tactics to get you signed up and waste your time for a few bucks best case or worst case getting you into buying memership. Not pleasant. Bad experience with Vacations Desk!

what can I say? Everything was perfect. The friendliness of the staff was awesome. The two bedroom condo we stayed. It was more than we expected. The amenities were wonderful. I can’t wait to be able to go back. We live in San Antonio. We stayed in Canyon Lake area so it was a quick drive. we were able to connect and enjoy each other.

Great stay. Check in took a little longer than we like but not a sticking point. Facility was great. Minigolf was fun. Arcade room would've been cool but the card machine to play games was out of order. The ping pong tables, giant chess, giant connect four, tennis courts, and pool w/bar was all excellent. Although we weren't able to do any of the activities they had listed for fun throughout the day, it was pretty good addition to the stay that we would enjoy next time. Room was very spacious and all in order. Would definitely recommend for families or couples and we would definitely stay again.

The rooms were very large and each room had it's own kitchen and full bath. We felt right at home

This is a TIMESHARE property!! We did not know that it was a timeshare property until we checked in and wouldn't be given our room keys until we listened to their speech about timeshares. We were in town for a wedding, not to hear a timeshare speech. There is no direct number to reach the front desk/office, so when you have a problem or a question about the room, you had to drive to the office. The room was cleanish except for the spiders in the corners of the room, the sheets were scratchy and the coffee pot didn't work. The property was maintained well and they had alot of amenities. No late checkouts were "available" even though they have 55 buildings of apartments and we checked out on a Sunday.

Our stay at this property was great! We were in the San Marcos/Wimberley area for a girls trip and we chose this property because it was centrally located to our planned activities. We had a 2 bedroom unit with king beds in both rooms. The beds and linens were super comfy and the kitchen had everything in it that we needed for our stay. The pool and hot tub area were nice and there are some nice amenities like putt putt golf and a game room. The property itself is sprawling and spread out so you may need to drive to some areas on the property depending upon where your room is. It is not directly on the lake and has no water access, but the sourrounding area and roads have amazing views. There isn't much in the area close by the property but it is very centrally located to some great activities like hiking, ziplining and local breweries within a short scenic drive. We would definitely stay at this property again. You do need to be aware though when booking that this is a timeshare resort property and if you stay more than 1 night you will have to go to the timshare desk to pick up your keys which involves listening to some info and slows down your check in a bit.

The front desk lady Tatiana (?) was really sweet and helpful! The shower head in the unit should be replaced though, it didn't work very well at all.

Wonderful. Everything perfect. The many pools were awesome . Staff very helpful with our needs. Excellent room coffee. Beautiful view (we were on the fourth floor).
Wish they allowed our dog to accompany us. The policy is no pets allowed. Understand. Hopefully, this policy will change. Highly recommend to everyone who wants to visit beautiful Canyon Lake .

This property is huge. I thought I was going to stay in the middle in front of a pool as requested but my room was across the street and the pool was right there. The rooms were like a mini college apartment that had all of the items ine would want. Even dishwashing detergent. There is only one negative. The windows in tbe rooms should have blackout curtains.

Enjoyed, the property. My only comment is for cleaning dept. I would highly suggest to tone it down with the pine sol. I had to open the back door and turn the fan on blast to get the smell to lighten up

We had a nice little weekend getaway with the kids! Our room def was nice minus the stale smoke smell - the pools were crowded as it was so hot but plenty of room for everyone to have fun.
We did many of the activities and games - the game room machine was down so couldn’t get a card to play as the service number to call that office is closed on Sundays. All and all a nice place to stay for a short stay.

The property is in a great location, but when it comes to the inside of the rooms it needs repairs everywhere.

Our only complaint was that several things were not in working order or defective. Three of the four burners on the stove were not connected to their electrical ports under the stovetop. I risked electrocuting myself connecting the large one. We were in a unit which did not directly open to the outside, and the outer doorbell was literally scraped from the wall. The icemaker spit out six cubes every two hours. The dishwasher was so loud, we had to shout over it. This room seemed to have been set up to punish us for booking through a third party. We just did not have time to mess with maintenance calls, so we made do. It was not very welcoming, though.

The 2BR villa we had was amazing! Very clean and newly renovated.
The only problem was the AC froze up but it was 105 so it’s hard to keep up!

The two separate bedrooms with a full kitchen was wonderful.

The only thing I could say could be better is signs had a hard finding the right building at night

This place is a dump. Nothing more than an overpriced attempt at turning an apartment complex into a "resort". I've stayed at roadside motels that were in better condition. We had ants, roaches, minimal parking, tub wouldn't drain and staff didn't seem to care about anything but the ants

They will hound you for a few days trying to get you to go to one of their “meetings”. You have to continue to tell them no over and over. They say the property has been updated within the last 3 years, which might be true, however they haven’t kept up on it so needs some work. They don’t do the best job cleaning, floors are dirty in corners and along the walls, broken tiles in the bathroom, light fixtures are caked with dusty, remote batteries had exploded inside the remote, dishwasher needs cleaned, couch’s are stained with who knows what, etc. We found spiders on our bed when we came back to the room. The pool is over crowded so you can’t ever get in, they need to make it where certain hours are adults only. They tell you to park in front of your condo/building but good luck, most the time there are no parking spots left. They don’t monitor this, so there were people parking there that weren’t even staying there or people parking in front of our building that were staying at another building. They allow the rooms to have way too many people in them, they say there are quite hours, but no one listens to those. For the price of these rooms, I would recommend finding somewhere else to stay.

We stayed in a renovated unit - super nice! Staff and check-in was good! We visited non-renovated unit: clean but a bit worn. One pool was not open, but plenty of other choices. Overall, good, will return!

The panel had fallen off on the jacuzzi tub and you could see where they had tried to Velcro it in place previously. Since the panel had fallen off you could see the build up of dirt and grime that wouldn't have been picked up during a quick wipe down. One of the blinds covers were broken - which I fixed when we got there. There were pill bugs in the shower every morning. And when I left I saw a roach or water bug sticking out of the light fixture over the toilet.
