Stayed here for many years, different units. Great for large groups. Plenty of room, couches, food accessories, and entertainment. Highly reccomend. Website pics are little mixed per unit, but give good idea. Reccomend a floor plan to gelp organize.

We have an annual summer family get together. We have stayed in this location 3 times and look forward to it every year. It is our favorite place. There are 24 of us (12 adults and 12 kids) and there is plenty of room for sleeping, hanging out, and playing games.

It was nice, but there were a lot of maintenance issues that were never addressed. One of the sinks was broken- reported never heard back. One of the Refrigerators did not cool- reported and never addressed/heard back. Ceiling fans didn't work or were missing remotes - reported and never heard back. The pool was in OK condition, but definitely needed to be cleaned- reported it and never heard back. The Internet was terrible- this is due to the WiFi router- it is old, underpowered, and doesn't have the bandwidth for a property of this size. I brought my own WiFi 6 router and used that- 500% better. Parking was OK but the properties filled up fast, and we constantly had to turn people away who were illegally parking there. There is no "Private Property" or "Tenant Parking only" Signage. The house and rooms were very clean, with no sand when we came in, and everything was washed and clean towels available. Landscaping was very poor- weeds everywhere around the pool- not a show stopper, but very unsightly. The kitchen was large and well stocked with equipment, and surprisingly every bedroom had its own private bathroom with shower- not reported in the Vrbo description. Only 1 room did not have its own, or adjoining bathroom. The location was awesome- halfway between the beach- just a few blocks away, and the Stores/Bars/restaurants - right on the main drag! The Grills were awful. Rusted and Falling apart- we went to buy a grill they were soo bad. We reported this and never hea

First, I want to say that our group rented this same house in Mar of 21 and loved our stay. The house was clean and the pool was heated, clean, and just the right size. Because of our stay two years prior, we booked this house Oct 22 for Mar 23. We learned after our check-in that it was sold last year and has new management. The house upkeep and management change were for the worse. The house itself was clean, but it did not come with a broom to sweep the floors. The appliances were ok. It was missing the K-cup machine. The listing stated it came with TWO 6-seater golf carts. When we arrived we were told they no longer provide the golf carts. Silver Sands management company argued with us about the listing, stating it never offered golf carts. Or at least stopped including them in October. We were never notified of the change and unfortunately, we did not take a screenshot of the booking, that is what they suggested to show them to verify the information was listed as such. TAKE A SCREENSHOT of your listing when booking. We were out an additional $1000 to rent the golf carts. The house was priced for the included golf carts but they would not give us any compensation. The rental company was dishonest with the listing. When we arrived the outside was full of trash, the gas grill was filthy & rusted (FYI provide your own propane). The pool was another sore site. It was SO dirty; full of sand and debris. We asked for the pool to be cleaned and they said they could not get anyone out there until day 3 of our 4-night stay. When they arrived the pool was shocked and couldn't use it for another 18 hours. We cleaned most of it ourselves by borrowing the neighbor's net. The house net was broken. We also asked for the pool to be heated when we arrived and asked what the additional charge would be. Over text and on the phone we were told that Beachcomber 1 did not have a heated pool and never did while they managed it for the past year. NOT TRUE there was a heater and it did work. When maintenance came to look at the grounds per our request, they told us the pool heater did work and turned it on for us. We couldn't use it due to the dirty water, but it did work. The day after we checked out of the house we were billed $200 for the pool heater. No one told us there was a charge and we could only use the pool for 1 day. They took the charge off after we called. We would not rent this house again due to management, on the phone they were rude and inhospitable.

Everything was great of the house had a slight problem with the AC but that was quickly repaired. The sole problem was we never had Internet and we’re not able to watch the World Series game due to that or the children cannot watch Netflix otherwise than that everything was great. House has a wonderful location only three blocks from the beach. And having golf carts there was a major bonus!

Simply put: this was not a good stay. I should not have to spend my time calling in and waiting for maintenance to repair glaringly obvious problems that you should have fixed in advance. - Freezers: BOTH freezers were 100% inoperable. One simply wouldn't open and the other closed shut by a tie-down. There was a 3rd standard refrigerator placed but this only held limited ice / food for our entire group. Plus, this refrigerator barely kept drinks 'cool' much less 'cold' even after 3 days. I had to spend my family and beach time on calls and having to go to/from the beach to meet a maintenance person. SUPER aggravating! - Oven: at 630am on morning #1, the oven on the right caught fire!!! It was a mad dash before having a single cup of coffee to put out the fire. Of course, smoke detectors went off waking everyone in the house up. SERIOUSLY?! This could've been BAD!! - A/C overflow: the ceiling above the stairs dripped directly onto them. SUPER SAFETY HAZARD AND LAWSUIT WAITING TO HAPPEN! Nothing like going down stairs and stepping over a pan of water. Shower: Nothing like coming back from the beach on night #1 to take a shower and...no water. Not a drip. The water spice wiggled 3-4" noticeably away from the wall. But no water. We had to wait for maintenance...again. Kitchen sink: One is missing the entire fixture. Turn it on and water goes everywhere. As well, there are tons of fully-exposed, very sharp, frayed metal wires to break off into your fingers. Shrubs: although the yellow, flowering shrubs are pretty, they are massively overgrown and impeded 1/3 of the patio area. This is also the case out front where the water hose is. You cannot even see the spicket without having to break off limbs to get to it. Two of our children were stung by bees. Chairs: (2) of the dining room chairs are clearly broken. 1 hour into our trip one of our kids sat in a chair and the leg just fell off. Same night at dinner another chair's back simply fell to the ground. It was VERY clear both had been broken for awhile but just put back into place. Utensils: I highly recommend taking time to review the utensils in the kitchen drawers. We found 9-10 items which were still heavily crusted with food in the drawers. So bad that it appeared they were used and simply put back into the drawer! GROSS! Ceiling fans: come on. Clean these, it's simple. Rokus: can someone please take the time to simply plug them back in and ensure they work? Heck, even have batteries. Of course, asking for simple instructions how to find anything on them would be a stretch. Mattresses: I challenge you to lay on the upstairs mattress in the far left room across from the shuffleboard. Sleeping on a crate full of Dorito bags is quieter. Pool: next time please remove the dead rat in the skimmer. Yes, dead rat. Three of our group members were a resort property manager, home inspector and a lawyer. Each just shook their heads in disbelief. My family has been in Port A since 1960s and we regularly give back and volunteer in your community. We have stayed in Beach House condos for 7+ years. The entire group agreed that this place has greatly gone downhilllllllllllll! We are already re-thinking our 2023 plans and right now it likely will not include Silver Sands nor Beach House Condos.

The bad: When we arrived we had zero places to park. parking needs to be identified. Check in time was at 4:00 and the cleaning crew was still there until 5:15. Wifi did not work. Luckily my husband is an IT person and was able to get it going. We could not access 2 of the rooms as the code did not work for another hour (so 6:15 that night). When we got ready for dinner there were only 5 forks in the kitchen to work for 16 people. There were also no pot holders for removing things from the oven. no ping pong paddles. And the upstairs balcony bedroom door knob broke with someone (an adult) in the room and he was stuck there for over an hour before we could get him out. The good: First night one of the golf carts was stolen. Had to call the police (all during the time the person was stuck in their room). So an eventful first night. Called to notify the office the next morning and they had a replacement there within 15 minutes. Same for when the battery went dead a couple days later. When I called the first night in regards to the lack of utensils and pot holders someone was there with replacements within 30 minutes. Maintenance was there with in 30 minutes of us calling (at 10:00 at night) to help get my nephew out of his room. Overall: Yes we had several issues that I should not have to deal with having spent so much for the 6 nights over the 4th of July. (yes gross overcharging but its a high demand time I get that). But once they were notified of the issues they were very prompt to rectify the situations.
