About this cottage rental

The property benefits from numerous leisure facilities including; an indoor heated swimming pool & gym complex (with separate men and women changing rooms and facilities), a fully equipped games room (pool table, table tennis), an excellent all-weather full size tennis court & croquet lawn. Naturally, Hackford Hall boasts wonderful period features throughout the house. There is a fabulous entrance hall, with open fireplace, oak flooring. This room is ideal as an entertainment / party room or simply somewhere to breakaway from others in the house. The manor house contains several large reception rooms and a wonderful modern huge fully equipped bespoke fitted kitchen. There is an elegant large dining room with seating for everyone around one table, as well as a massive reception/TV room, containing 50' flatscreen 'smart' TV with internet access. This room as soft seating for all to relax and congregate in. The house also benefits from a separate children's play room and office room, equipped with PC with broadband access (and parental controls). On top of this is a number of separate smaller rooms utilised as boot rooms, cloak rooms, utility rooms etc. Hackford Hall is designed with your large family holiday or gathering for that special occasion in mind. It is ideal for that large gathering, be it a formal special occasion, such as a birthday, anniversary, or simply somewhere for you and your family and friends to all be under one fabulous roof to enjoy life together. The property is located just outside the picturesque market town of Reepham, in one of the most scenic parts of the UK. It is only 14 miles from Norwich, one of the UK's best tourist and shopping cities. A short scenic drive will take you to the amazing beaches of the north Norfolk. The whole area is geared up to the upmarket tourist trade but has not forgotten the smaller members of your party. There are literally lots of attractions within a short drive such as: several major theme parks, golf courses, world-class bird and seal watching, historical sites, steam railways, as well as the royal residence of Sandringham. Oh, and not to forget the unique and fascinating Norfolk Broads......... and did we mention the award winning beaches? Wheelchair access is not perfect. The house is very old, and built in several stages. There are therefore slight steps to accommodate different ground floor levels. This is normal for houses of this age and standard. However, these small variances in floor levels makes wheelchair access awkward, but not impossible. Some doors are wide enough to allow access. Please note that the broadband in the house is provided by a third-party supplier. We cannot be held responsible if the service dips or stops working for any reason outside of our control. Of course, we will endeavour to remedy the situation as promptly as we can, but as you will appreciate, we are reliant on the third party.

We stayed here at beginning of May meeting up with four generations of our family from UK to celebrate birthday milestones including my great aunt's 95th birthday. We live in USA and did all our communication through this sight Clair was always very quick to respond and help with any questions and advice. We were a party of 28 (24 adults and 4 children 8-16 ) the place was perfect for all our needs. the pool, games room, tennis courts were an added bonus so much for everyone to enjoy. The whole family enjoyed an afternoon on the Norfolk Broads as the house is only 30 minute drive away. We also had majority of our food delivered. Clair and Jo recommended Back to You Place caterers for a dinner on the Saturday evening. The food was wonderful Pat and her team set up, served and we paid for them to also clear up, which enabled us all to dress up and enjoy the evening. Sunday we had professional photographer "Snapper Photography" to take pictures of our family and they even stayed to take few shots of our family sports day. They returned a flash drive with all the photos before we left. This is a perfect place and perfect location. Thank you Clair.

This house is wonderful, a real old world experience. We loved playing lord and lady of the manor and keeping check on our large family. There were 12 adults, 7 grandchildren and 4 dogs. We had a wonderful time. The high points are the building itself, the grounds, the pool house, tennis courts, games room and the family kitchen which become our hub. We spent many happy hours at the house and we will be going back some day. The level of finish is good as are the fixtures, fittings & equipment. This is an old house so there is the odd wobbly doorway, creaky floorboard and blown plaster - but that is all character. This is a review so to be helpful and in NO WAY blemish the house - there are a few things we noted and just want to mention... The WiFi at the house is very poor - but then it is for the whole of Norfolk. The mobile phone signal is also poor and there were times nobody had a signal - the house could do with an "emergency land line" installed really - just in case. The water pressure in the main bathroom shower was poor and the driveway to the pool is not lit. However these are minor points and we just mention them so you know.. Clair and "Jonny" were awesome throughout the whole deal and if they will have us we will be going back - awesome week thank you..

On arrival this venue certainly had the wow factor! We had our annual work summer party here this July and all 28 of us had an incredible time. Facilities were brilliant and everything we needed was available. We even managed to set up a sports day in the grounds! Thank you for making it 'the best summer party of all time' and me the most popular member of the agency :) thank you very much Clair and the team. Jess

Hackford Hall is an attractive, well-kept Georgian country house that is as beautiful inside as it is outside. This is an easy house to fall in love with and a very difficult house to leave. It is clean and tidy, the kitchen is generously stocked with equipment, crockery and cutlery, more than enough for our group of 25. The games room, the gym and the pool were full sized additions rather than fun-sized add ons. The bedrooms were comfortable sizes and the linen was good quality. Clair was very helpful from the very beginning of the booking process and allowed us to do a pre-visit so that we could plan our stay regarding allocation of bedrooms, entertainment and catering facilities. Clair was even amenable to us running an activity within the grounds. Apart from enjoying all that was available regarding activities, we hired an archery company, Grey Goose Archery, to come over and give us two hours of tuition and competition. If there ever was an exciting and accessible alternative to clay pigeon shooting, archery is it and this relatively local company were excellent. Myself and my friends would recommend this house without reservation. It is a grand house set in lovely grounds that is comfortable to the point of cosyness in spite of its size. The smile that slides over your face when you first pull up to the house, remains until the moment you have to tear yourself away when checking out.

We spent 3 fantastic nights at Hackford Hall with friends for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. Its a fantastic house with lots of space. Very well equipped kitchen. Everyone said how comfortable the beds were. The house, considering how large it is, was always lovely and warm, no nasty draughts. Lovely large rooms, some of the bedrooms were amazing. Our only problem was that we wished we could have stayed longer. It was a great relaxing break. Would highly recommend this house.
