the surrounding is quiet, cooling at night and not crowded. Fresh air and restaurant is facing mount Kinabalu.
the slope too steep to go up the reception and rooms

The resort has a direct view of Mount Kinabalu, and it was a magical experience as we managed to see the majestic mountain.
The surroundings are quiet, and it is located not too far away from the main town - this gives us peace and quietness while enjoying the convenience.
The door lock was not functioning well, and required some tricks to open. Suggest the management to change all the digital locks of the rooms.
The restaurant is open too late, at only 8am. Suggest to open at 7am or 6am to accommodate travellers for breakfast.

nice hotel up in the mountain area ( near to Kinabalu Park)
The hotel tends to be expensive as it is a nicer hotel. The key to my Family room does not work well ( had to trouble the staff to help us lock and unlock the door.

First is over price. When we booked as per shown pictures via booking.com with this price we expect to get mountains view. But when checked in, resort staff gave us only Valley view as they said mistake from booking.com to use wrong image.
Apart from that the room is small, no sound proof, annoy to hear conversation from neighber room especially at night as well as the sound of their foot steps, the floor is make from cheap quality, heater was not strong enough as it so cold on a rainy day.

low value for price. can improve on room facilities and cleanliness. also suggest to switch off the very bright neon lights at night so guests can see the beautiful starry sky.

Location is good with breathtaking view! The staff are friendly. It is a cosy place to stay. Loved the Kloud cafe outside. Food is decent.
With the premium price I paid(rm900 per night) , I expected better facilities. There wasn’t a fridge until we requested for one. No safety box to keep your valuables. We had 2 wash basins in the room, but only one liquid handsoap at the terrace outside. When requested for a simple bar soap for the bathroom, they didn’t have, so we have to use the body shower gel to wash hands… why can’t they give us another liquid hand soap ? !

The view from the corner room is fabulous. Environment is very close to natural and the reception staff is friendly, beside the own paid breakfast is delicious. Overall nice stay.

I like the view only and the staff are all friendly and helpful
Disappointed when we reach our room because it is too small and uncomfortable well picture lies and the floor has cracked wood it's not well maintained to say. Their resort can do better than this because the place has beautiful views

The weather cold.. the location just nice. But this booking scam me.. be carefull !
The information in booking scam me! I choose room with Mountain View but when i arrive they change to other view which the price still same with not Mountain View.. not fair.. the receptionist said they already amend the correction to booking but why not follow up again and again?

One of my worst booking stay in 10 years. This hotel is incredibly old and dirty, I left the place with bed bugs and a lots of bug bites. The hotel is on the road so it is extremely noisy, as if the trucks were driving through your room. The equipments are outdated and really need a refresh. The view from the bar down the hotel is nice. But I absolutely do not recommend this place

well presented, very clean, great view and close to Mount Kinabalu National Park.
the electricity went out a number if times. the Kloud Cafe didn’t open to 10.00 am.

the view is suppose to be great but too bad we went on a misty day so we can’t see mount kk. room considered clean and well done.
the rates doesn’t come with breakfast. it’s kinda expensive RM450/night with no breakfast given. the pillow is extremely high. gave me and my family bad neck pain.

Nice quiet lcoation. Wifi worked well. Bed was firm and comfortable.
Maintenance is lacking - dont mind faded furniture, but general areas look like they've not been tendered to daily. Room flooring was damp, cold and sticky. ...Even thin dispoable slippers would have been a thoughtful addition, esp as it was so cold. Only piece of bath soap, cheap, low budget toilet paper. According to booking details, we would have an Iron, Blu-ray player, Clothes rack and a Drying rack for clothing - we had one rack - whatever it was - cldnt hang my pants without it sweeping the floor. The shower didnt work well and pressure was intermittent - hard to get temperature right and consistent also. Coffee was provided - but not a sinbgle tea bag? So really downright disappointed with our stay there given I had 2 elderly parents and paid up to get a better room only to be really let down. The rooms were also way to the back of the property - no bell hop around so between my husband and I we had to manage our bags up and down lots of steps across floors that were wet with rain.

We basically like the restaurant, food is great. Location is good and we have enjoyable stay at Mountain Valley.
