About this house rental
Nestled in Dauphin Island, this charming house for $627 per night is a great option for your next vacation. 4 Bedroom 3 Bathroom- 8 beds PLEASE NOTE THE MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY OF THIS HOUSE IS ELEVEN (11)PERSONS INCLUSIVE OF ALL ADULTS, CHILDREN AND INFANTS. please take time to carefully review the available sleeping accommodations, occupancy policy and use restrictions, pet policy, and restrictions regarding prohibited gatherings in excess of 11 people at the house at any time during the stay without prior written approval. If you have questions concerning these restrictions, occupancy limit, pet policy ($120, non-refundable, limit 1 pet under 20 pounds, canine only), please inquire before requesting to book. We reserve the right to request a photo of pet prior to acceptance of booking. When approved in writing, guests in excess of 11(regardless of age) are subject to an up-charge of $30/person/night. Cottage is conveniently located on the Gulf side of Dauphin Island, just a few steps from the water’s edge and is privately owned and operated. Great care has gone into planning every detail for our family and friends from clean, soft, comfortable well-maintained linens to a wide variety of cooking need utensils for your home away from home. To make your vacation more enjoyable and less stressful, we provide initial laundry detergent pods, dryer sheets, dish soap and dishwasher soap pods, bath soap, hand soap, 1 roll paper towels, 3 rolls of toilet tissue, 6 kitchen trash can bags, 9 beach towels, beach umbrella, assortment of beach toys, and 4 beach chairs. The floor plan includes an open living/dining area, beautiful views of the water, and large windows letting in lots of natural light. The kitchen is well appointed with everything needed for cooking family meals and includes a microwave, traditional coffee pot, Keurig coffee maker, toaster, hand mixer, blender, crock pot, convection oven, dishwasher, and all the flatware, glass, dish, serving dishes, and cookware needed for a family of 11. The center island is great for food prep and offers comfortable seating for 8. A rectangular drop leaf table provides additional seating for 2 people. A charcoal grill and picnic table are available for cook-outs and outdoor dining. There are 2 master bedrooms, each furnished with a king bed and private bath with single vanity and shower. The northeast guest room is furnished with 2 sets of twin bunk beds and the center north bedroom has a full/twin bunk bed. The third bath is located off the hallway and is a single vanity with tub/shower combo. All bedrooms are equipped with flat screen TVs,DVD Blue-Ray players, and firesticks for your enjoyment. The oversized covered porch is perfect for relaxing, dining, reading, or just watching/listening to the waves. When dolphins are swimming close to shore, they can often can be seen from the porch. Dauphin Island is known for its shell collecting, fishing, bike and walking trails, a wonderful bird sanctuary, Estuarium and Sea Lab, and historic Fort Gaines. Other attractions in the Mobile area include the USS Battleship Alabama, Bellingrath Gardens and Home, and the historic antebellum homes. Or, you can take the ferry from Dauphin Island to over to Fort Morgan and Gulf Shores. Summer Season: Reservations for the summer season are a minimum of 7 days and rental period is Sunday to Sunday. Summer season rentals must be paid in full 60 days prior to arrival, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. See owner rental agreement for cancellation policy. Payment of rental fees for stays of less than 7 days are due in full at time of booking, unless otherwise agreed to in writing. Check-in is 4:00 p.m. on day of arrival and check-out is 10:00 a.m. on day of departure.

We spent a wonderful week at this home. It was so clean and pretty. The hosts were wonderful and attentive. There was open communication throughout the whole process. I'd love to be able to stay in this home again the next time we travel to Dauphin Island.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. It was so comfortable and cozy and very clean. The decor was beachy but not overdone. Very nice linens and fully equipped kitchen. We enjoy cooking in and found everything we needed in the cabinets from measuring spoons to casserole dishes! Plenty of beach towels and chairs for use at the beach and a nice swing on the porch to enjoy the sounds of the waves crashing on the shore. Very quick walk to the beach. The owners had just put up a Christmas tree and we really enjoyed the lights and decorations. Highly recommend this home - you won’t be disappointed if you book a stay here.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. The hose was clean and nicely decorated. We loved the porch, hearing the ocean and watching the pelicans. A short walk to the beach. Very nice.

This is an awesome house that is packed full of everything you could think of for a family! The kitchen was fully stocked with every tool we needed to cook meals. Honestly, we could have left all of our beach gear at home because they had so much to share! The best part about our stay was the location to the beach. 1 minute from door to where we set up our chairs was amazing! Can’t wait to visit again!

This is such a wonderful home so very close to the beach! Our family enjoyed the comfort and everything we needed was readily available. The perfect spot to drink coffee while watching the sunrise and walk mere minutes to the beach to watch the sunset.

We love going to Dauphine Island. The house was in a perfect location. Very clean and comfortable. Nice covered porch to sit on and enjoy the sunset. We could see the ocean from the porch and could watch the Dauphines. Just about 100 yards to walk to the beach. The owners were very helpful and kind. Definitely will stay there again!

We love going to Dauphine Island. The house was in a perfect location. Very clean and comfortable. Nice covered porch to sit on and enjoy the sunset. We could see the ocean from the porch and could watch the Dauphines. Just about 100 yards to walk to the beach. The owners were very helpful and kind. Definitely will stay there again!

Josh and Ginny are very proactive owners, notifying us of a couple of small issues left by the last renters, which were easily resolved. Reaching out to make sure that the resolutions were satisfactory and offering advice on local eateries and sites.

Wonderful! We absolutely loved the area. Slower paced, which was just what we were looking for. The home we stayed in was perfect. You could see the waves and hear the ocean from the deck. First and foremost was that it was spotless. The home was also very well stocked with everything we needed. The owners were wonderful. We actually got there a day early and texted the owners inquiring if the property was available that night. Within 5 minutes, the owners called me and had everything arranged for us to stay the additional night. Very gracious and responsive! Had a great time and would absolutely stay here again. As a matter of fact, we wish we were still there!

We absolutely loved Kathy and Mike’s beach house. It was the perfect proximity to the beach. It was on a private road with no traffic. I would absolutely stay there again. Kathy was easy to get ahold of and very accommodating. It was pleasure!

We love Dauphin Island and especially this little cottage. It’s become a family tradition. It’s close to the beach. It’s roomy enough for everyone to have their own space. And Kathy does such a nice job decorating and maintaining the home. We hope to keep coming here!

Kathy makes everything easy from booking to check in. This was our seventh year staying at this property, so we obviously love it! It fits our family perfectly, close to the beach, roomy, big porch to relax on. The house is always very clean and well stocked. We’ve enjoyed another stay very much!

The house was clean, spacious, and fully stocked with any and all full size supplies. I’ve stayed in ocean front homes that were not as close to the beach as this home. The neighborhood was quiet and the beach was exceptional.

The property was convenient and had all the amenities we could need. The house is very easy to get to and close to the restaurants on the Island. The beach access was perfect, so close and quiet.
We had a rough storm one of the nights that caused the TV dish to break, Kathy had it taken care of for us in no time.
If you’re looking for a nice, quiet getaway, this is your place!

Everything was perfect! The house was so clean and well stocked. Owners had thought of everything you might need for time at the beach. Beach was so close, easy to pop back to house if needed! Loved sitting on deck at night and listening to ocean and being able to just go for a walk at sunset. Owners live close by and we very friendly and welcoming. Gave us info on area and things to do. Loved our peaceful week and hope to be back one day. Book it, you’ll love it!

What a great way to get away to relax and soak up some sun! We enjoyed our r time in Dauphin Island. The beaches were quiet and just a short walk from the house. We had plenty of room to stretch out and enjoy some volleyball or frisbee. House was great! Plenty of room for our group! Enjoyed eating dinner on the porch as well! Would love to come back and stay again!

A perfect quiet place for our Spring Break! House was perfect for our group of 8. Walk to the beach was close and beautiful. Kathy and Mike were great host and were quick to respond to our couple request during our stay as they were just across the road. House was clean and very well stocked. We cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner each night and had everything we need to make the meals and desserts.

Owners were great and easy to reach. Home was well-maintained and close to beach access. This is truly an island destination without a lot of restaurants and/or shopping at this time of year but we were aware of that prior to our arrival and planned accordingly.
