Nestled in Hitchcock, this charming house for $454 per night is a great option for your next trip. Soak in the brand new Cowboy Pool!! Tranquil and laid-back, this spacious holiday home is located in the popular Pirates Beach. With sleeping space for 18 guests— plus two master suites and a separate hang out space for the kids— there’s enough comfy square footage for everyone to kick back and find some privacy. A large, tropical outdoor space is perfect for pets and small children. With a barbeque area, outdoor shower, and a short walk to the beach, this home is pure Texas vacay bliss. Up to 8 Cars in the driveway - Guests must be 24+ to book the property. - One-night stays must be approved. - Groups larger than 16 need to be approved. We do not allow parties. - Quiet hours are from 10pm-8am. - Any damages to the house or property during your stay will result in a deduction or additional charge for the resulting repair/replacement cost. - All pets must be approved by our team, stay off of all furniture, be cleaned up after in the yard, and not left alone inside the home unless in a kennel. - No parking allowed on lawns, yards, empty grass lots or other neighbors’ driveways, even if their home appears unoccupied. - Oversized vehicles/trailers are not permitted unless explicit approval has been received from our team. - Do not turn the AC below 70 degrees. If you do, you will risk the AC unit freezing up, requiring it to thaw out which will result in the home getting extremely warm.

The pictures make the home appear to be charming but they are far from accurate. The stairs leading up to the main entry on the 2nd floor need to be repaired as does the spiral staircase inside the unit. Both are potentially hazardous. There's also an exterior outlet on the deck that looks to have been pulled out, taken apart, and the wires are left on the ground, also hazardous. The cute bunk beds in the photo are now reduced to lower bunks with boxsprings & mattresses on the floor. We also found the bed frame in the master bedroom was broken, so the mattress and boxsprings are on the floor in that room as well. The broken frame was shoved into a closet but left partially hanging out so the closet could not be closed. The toilet in the master bedroom seems to be sinking into the floor. Our group found the kitchen sink clogged with food, and the disposal wasn't working. We had to wait until late morning for maintenance to come and repair. Since all that food had been left clogging the drain for some time, the unit was completely infested with gnats. There are also rodents in the unit, who chewed and destroyed the box to a card game during the night. Finally, the downstairs bedroom, which smelled very musty and moldy, has a serious leak and water came pouring in on my nieces when it rained during the night. I would advise the owner to make some much needed repairs before some renter is injured by these current conditions.

The description of this property is misleading. The pictures are not accurate. The “play room” that has two sets of bunk beds is completely inhabitable. There is a huge area in the floor that has suffered water damage and, in an attempt to cover it up, has been duct taped. The moisture under the flooring has caused mold that you can smell instantly upon walking in the room. The window behind one set of bunk beds has leaked also causing mold that had grown in the window seal and was all over the back of the pillows and edge of the mattress. When I let the host know that there was mold, they sent over a maintenance man with a bottle of mildew spray, a single towel, and a glade plug in. Even the maintenance man said he did not advise anyone to sleep in the room and acknowledged that this was not an issue he could just “fix”. We ended up having to have part of our family sleep on the sofa for one night, then get a hotel room for the remainder of our stay. I requested that we receive a partial refund to help with the cost of the hotel room due to a whole room with four beds being unusable and was told “no refunds”. I called VRBO who attempted twice to contact the property owner and on the second try was told that she is “busy”. The beds in the rooms that were usable were not comfortable for more than one person to sleep in. They sink down in the center causing you to roll into one another. It was an overall bad experience. Save your money and book elsewhere.

Dirty , dirty , dirty . Place needs to be updated and cleaned. Dead roaches , trash all over , broken furniture, kitchen cabinet doors falling off , smells of mold . Would not recommend. The previous and only review was actually very accurate . Pictures are definitely misleading and show different furniture from actual. Additionally, VRBO shows the house to be approximately four houses down to the beach and it is not the case. The house is all the way on the edge of the neighborhood by a busy road.

garbage cans over full on arrival, ground floor bedroom unusable smells of mold and mildew, beds are terrible , pots and pans wren dirty had leftover food had to rewash, top floor face bowl slow to drain and no hot water., floors were dirty sand someone passed a mop with pines oil, on line pictures did not match house,,couch was terrible you sunk in , no remote for third floor tv., fridge was dirty.,no coffee, salt or pepper.
