Loved the style and decor of the hotel overall as well as the room. The window seat is fantastic. The bed and pillows were excellent too.
The bathroom had two light switches, but we never could get the lights over the sink to come on after the first time. We also missed having an exhaust fan in the bathroom, especially as the door was barn-door style and the floor tiled. Let’s just say noise travels in such circumstances. Also, the pour-over coffee packs in the room were difficult to use. I ended spilling ground coffee all over. And why just two creamers? Kind of stingy.

Clean property, great decor with excellent service and good options.

Everything was shockingly high quality. The communal spaces that promoted connection and gathering. There was so much variety in decor and furniture. Everyone was friendly. The bar upstairs had a fabulous view, was intimate and comfortable, great service. Street parking is available if you can find it. The gym was awesome and has two peloton bikes!
I wish there were overhead lights in the room and towel hooks on the walls in the bathroom but other than that it was perfect. I also wish the pillows were firmer.

Modern. Comfortable beds. Terrace was a nice perk
For a $500+ a night terrace suite the size (tiny) of the room was shocking. One of the better photo jobs you'll see in marketing. You may notice most of the room pics are close ups. That's because if they would have taken a step back you would notice how small the room is. Tiny. And the kitchenette is a cupboard with a mini fridge at the bottom. Otherwise, it was clean and comfy, we had no other issues but at that price point I expect a full size room

Good Location, nice public areas, good cafe downstairs, clean and spacious guest rooms.
Beware the hidden $20/day amenity fee + tax. While Booking's website states the hotel features "free bikes, fitness center....along with free WiFi throughout the property" that is incorrect. We were charged this fee to access the amenity locker, get wifi, snacks in room (1 bag of chips, 2 bottles of water). I asked if there was anyway to avoid the fee (we did not need any of these services) and was told that was not possible. Re-reviewed my reservation info/listing and could not find any notice of the additional fee. Left us with a very bad impression. We would implore the hotel to increase the room rate and avoid this impression.

The time with my man.
They told us the valet was included with the room when we arrived then charged us $45 for it the next morning
When we checked in they sent us to a room that was occupied so we abruptly walked in on a couple with my 3 year old.
They upgraded the room to make up for it but I swear they charged me for the upgrade or something cuz it was way more than the price given prior to our stay.
They charged me for 4 shirts and we only got 3
I got 1 mixed drink and it was disgusting.

The whole vibe of the hotel is so welcoming and comfortable. Our upgrade to a suite was a much appreciated gesture from Shawn at the front desk!

The Junto had a lovely atmosphere. The staff were excellent; they were super friendly and helpful. The decor was pleasant, and many fantastic amenities were on site - the restaurant and cafe served superb food. The room sizes were excellent - we had come from The Hoxton in Brooklyn, NY, which has a similar setup and style, but The Junto easily surpassed this, especially when it comes to the room size.
The parking is problematic. I'd expect free parking for overnight stays in a city and country so reliant on driving. The valet charge is costly, and street parking is limited and requires payment. Again, having come from Brooklyn, where public transport is plentiful, the parking there was free!
The location is pleasant, in an area undergoing redevelopment and near Museums, but there is little else in the area. Great for peace, not so great for access to food and nightlife without the need to designate a driver.

The lobby is welcoming. The coffee shop was great.
1. Upon check in, they don’t highlight that they charge your card $150: a day for incidentals. I had to ask why the price was $300 higher than what I booked. Have not been refunded that delta yet.
2. No need to valet at $45 per 24 hrs. You can park across the street at $15 a day.
3. In The evenings the room was overwhelming with the smell of smoke.
4. Our toilet didn’t work and had to call maintenance. He was there within 10 mins and fixed the issue.
5. Room was not thoroughly clean. Feminine product was on the floor behind the toilet the two days we were there. Not caught before we checked in nor when housekeeping came in during the visit.
6. Room was small and refrigerator never got very cold.

First and foremost, the location of the hotel was superb. The easy parking in a quieter area was a welcome surprise, making our arrival hassle-free. What truly stood out, however, was the many food options right at the hotel. The icing on the cake was having a coffee shop right on-site, and I must say, the poutine window added an element of fun to our stay.
Our visit coincided with photographing a wedding on Saturday, and the convenience of having a delicious breakfast and espresso drinks readily available on-site was a game-changer. It made our morning preparations so much smoother. Furthermore, returning to the hotel that night and finding the poutine window outside, where we could order a late-night snack to take to our room, was just perfect. It's these little touches that elevate a stay from good to exceptional.
The room itself was a haven of comfort and relaxation. The large soaking tub was a definite highlight, and the shower was equally impressive. The bed provided a restful night's sleep, and the room temperature was just right, ensuring our comfort throughout our stay.
I also want to commend attention to aesthetics and furniture throughout the hotel. The decor and design choices truly added to the overall ambiance, making us feel welcomed and relaxed.
While our overall stay at the Junto hotel was enjoyable, and we know we will definitely be returning, there was one particular aspect that left us somewhat perplexed. We encountered a staff member during our visit who exhibited a rather unprofessional and discourteous demeanor, which was quite unexpected given the otherwise excellent service we experienced. Additionally, there was a persistent and unpleasant odor in our hallway, which did detract from the overall ambiance of the hotel.

Amenities were beyond what was ever offered at any other hotel we have stayed at. Opportunities to use record player or boom box in your room. Bicycles or even kayaking opportunities! The decor was beautiful and so comfortable. Rooftop bar had excellent downtown views. Customer service was excellent.
Not their fault but they had a water main break early am and we were unable to shower or flush toilets.

Clean, Location
I was disappointed that we were not compensated for the water being off. I understand things happen that are not in our control… but I as a customer should not get the short end. I reserved a hotel room for a bed and a shower. There was no water in the morning so no shower. Guests should have been compensated a room for future use or a partial refund. A 2$ biscuit did not make up for starting my day without a shower. We were away from home and spending the day away from home… not a good start to our day.

Brand new. Officially opened just over a week ago. Everything is still new and fresh. We’re pretty sure not one has stayed in our suite before.
We upgraded from a standard suite to the Artist’s Suite so we could get the soaking tub. Worth every penny after walking around the city. On top of that, there’s a standard shower and a rain shower.
Really great attention to detail. The interiors are well designed, you can hang out in the lobby for hours if you like to lounge in the hotel.
There’s a good restaurant called the Little West Tavern on the property. Get the honey scallion biscuits with honey butter…and they have a hearth for open fire cooking anything from burgers to salmon. Worth a try. My husband and I loved it.
Not important unless you plan to spend a lot of time in the hotel. Not much to watch on the TV and they haven’t yet connected Netflix even though that’s an option on the channel guide.

I liked the fragrance and decor in the hotel were nice. The toiletries and towels were great.
Going into our reservation, we were not aware that we were essentially walking into a soft launch of a hotel. The description boasted of the many restaurants including kids meals and room service. The main restaurant was not open and essentially nothing other than chips on the downstairs bar menu that my kids would eat. When we walked in the room the temp was set to 75 and took hours to get down to a comfortable temperature. There was no information about the hotel or surrounding area in our room. The beds were not great. Street and ground keeping noises woke us up around 7am. Our TV volume could not be adjusted. The staff was ok. The lady checking us in didn’t seem like she knew what she was doing and took way longer than necessary. Would have been nice if someone showed us around a bit. Overall it was a very mediocre stay and we probably would have had a better stay at a chain hotel for much cheaper than the $270 that we spent.
