We welcome 1 dog to accompany your stay (non-shedding, less than 25lbs). A $200 non-refundable pet fee will be added on to your reservation. This is a ground floor unit of a duplex property. Upstairs noise may be heard from time to time. San Diego Airport flight path runs over South Mission Bay. Airplane noise may be heard; however, departing flights are not permitted between 11:30pm-6:30am. This home is monitored by exterior surveillance cameras and interior noise monitoring devices. We supply a starter pack of paper goods and cleaning products. This includes paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent, multi-purpose spray, hand & dish soap, and shower sets. Beach chairs, and a beach umbrella are also provided for your use. You must be at least 30 years old to rent this home. If all guests are adults, all guests must be over the age of 30, excluding families. Neighborhood Notes: Mission Beach is San Diego's lively take on the classic boardwalk beach town with over five miles of waterfront boardwalk, trendy shops, restaurants, and Belmont Park, a beachfront amusement park featuring the historic Giant Dipper Roller Coaster, originally built in 1925 but since restored, miniature golf, bumper cars, rock climbing, and an arcade. Mission Beach is just a few minutes to Sea World, 15-20 minutes to The San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, San Diego International Airport (SAN), and downtown San Diego. Attention: This rental is located in a high-density neighborhood with strict house rules and is only suitable for quieter groups. No tolerance policy exists for excessive noise, occupancy, parties, or smoking. Failure to abide by these policies may lead to immediate eviction without refund. Please make sure you are comfortable with these policies before renting. This was our second stay at this property, but it had been four years since our first stay. The property does not disappoint! They've added blackout curtains to the master bedroom which was the only negative comment I had previously. We love the location and its proximity to the park, bay, and easy access to the beach side as well. We barely heard our upstairs neighbors but if you had a rowdy people upstairs your experience may vary.

This was a very much needed vacation for myself, husband and mom in law, and we could not have asked for a better accommodation! Clean and comfortable, nicely furnished with everything we needed. The view was spectacular and the nearby home owners and renters were all very friendly. I absolutely recommend this VRBO to any family (with or without pets)!

We loved this place! It had everything we needed. On a few of the days we were there, having AC was wonderful. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen well stocked. Lots of channels available on the tv. They accept dogs, and there was grass close by. We spent a lot of time on the comfortable patio which was just steps to the beach. The rental company was wonderful to work with, they answered any texts promptly. We will most definitely be back!

This place is heavenly, immaculately presented and elegantly designed. Such a gem.
The only glitch is the spectrum didnt work most of the time for cable but that forced us to connect and not be glued to TV during the weeklong storms.

We took our daughter and a couple friends to San Diego to relax and celebrate her graduation. Perfect place for a weekend getaway- you can park the car and walk to most everywhere. One bonus not listed was the patio has an unobstructed view of the nightly fireworks at Sea World. Definitely plan to go again.

We love Mission Bay and how we can walk or bike so many places.
The rental company (Swell Vacation Rentals) was very responsive to a couple of minor issues we had with a coffee maker and WiFi, and addressed them right away.
Sometimes we could hear the upstairs neighbors walking around (just footsteps, not voices)

The location couldn’t have been better — right on the beach with a park nearby. Great network of hiking/biking paths throughout the area. The hosts were very helpful and responsive and the unit was very comfortable.

The location was great - walkable to the Boardwalk and very quiet. The facility was clean. The home is sparsely stocked including limited place settings, lack of tissues, items that don't work including a broken washer, coffee pot, and bathroom faucet - we were disappointed in these and it didn't feel like home unlike many other rentals we have had under VRBO. The home also lacked referrals for great places to eat, see, and adventure - also not something we have previously experienced. Overall it rated a 4 but we won't return.

Very beautiful home. The pictures were pretty dead on as far as the decor, view, etc. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The bathroom was nice. The kitchen was fully stocked. They could definitely invest in some new pans, as some of them were going pretty downhill, but they worked fine. They had some sports equipment like a volleyball for the open court in the sand very nearby. Some toys for kids if we had brought our kids. Adirondack chairs. A nice table outside with beautiful lights for fun at night. It was absolutely great. In fact, if you are there on a night where sea world has fireworks, you can watch them from the deck!! That was a nice surprise. Also, the grill was just fine. Cooked up some prime filets that we’re perfectly yummy….there is extra propane available if you need it too.
A couple of things that need improvement for sure. Wifi is very slow and the range is poor. The router is upstairs and doesn’t extend downstairs very well. Additionally, the people upstairs unplugged it by accident, so we were without wifi for a day, and even the second day, the TV’s were not connected properly, so we couldn’t stream. The response time was decent to fix these things, but could have been better. Additionally, the fridge wasn’t cooling well, and someone had to some out and fill the Freon, which they did and it worked fine after.
A few additional things that needed improvement. The master bedroom mattress was very uncomfortable. It’s old and needs to be replaced. It had a concave feel, and we had to turn it around just to feel like we weren’t going to slide off the side. Not awesome sleep, but wasn’t the worst either. The “recliner” deck chair outside didn’t recline….it appeared to be broken, or maybe it just wasn’t meant to recline, but it appeared it should have. The thermostat wasn’t allowed to be turned below 72°. It got a little warm during the day and we wanted to turn it down but there was a sign that said we couldn’t according to the agreement. The screen door fell off a couple times and is bent up, but it wasn’t a big deal. It needs a new screen door though. I feel like this is a problem everyone has at home though, so this is really not a big complaint here. Lastly….10am checkout. This is pretty early. Seems they could extend to 11am, but if you have someone coming in after you….it’s not going to happen.
Overall, like I said, it was a pretty awesome place and we had a ton of fun. These were all small gripes as we would definitely stay here again. But just have reasonable expectations that things may not be perfect.

Enjoyed our stay at this unit. Had plenty of room for our family. Felt bigger than the pictures seemed. The location was great having a kids park right outside the patio and just down the street from Belmont park which was tons of fun! Also 10 mins from seaworld so this was a relaxing homebase for a san Diego family trip.

The house is very beautiful, new, very clean and with all the comfort that you need. The beach in front of the house is quiet and perfect for kids.
One of the best houses we’ve ever rent around the world. We’ll sure consider to rent this house on our next trip to San Diego.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. The house was very cute, clean, and comfortable. The location is great. And thank goodness for the AC because we stayed during a major heatwave. I will definitely book this house again.

Home is on the ground floor and perfect for a family with children. The bay is steps away, with a playground near and paths to ride bikes is perfect for the littles

Great location and had everything we needed. Appreciated having beach toys and chairs available there. Everything was clean. Only thing we would suggest is to boost the wifi signal as it was very slow. Good thing was we did not really need wifi because we were enjoying the beach.

Had a wonderful weekend. Loved waking up to waterfront views and taking early morning walks along the beach. House was as described in the listing, very clean and spacious. We hope to return in the fall.

The best thing about this property is its location----right on the bay with a park next to it and a beach off the patio. We were traveling with our little dog, and she loved the back patio and watching the activities. Lots of great walking areas.
We did find the unit is in need of some maintenance. The entry door at the kitchen needs some attention and the window coverings should be replaced. The drapes in the living area and master bedroom should be repaired/replaced. Initially, we had some internet problems, but staff was very responsive and were able to solve the problem on the second visit. Fortunately, we did not have guests above us. We could certainly hear the people walking. The other negative was the moldy/musty smell that permeated the unit----even with the doors open.
From the beginning, all the interaction with the folks at 710 was excellent. Good communication. We would love to see your other listings that would be similar to this one but in a little better condition.

This home is the perfect location for a relaxing beach vacation. Mission Bay - especially here by the park - is charming and relaxing. The home has everything you need, including plenty of outdoor space and even toys for playing on the beach.

This property is exactly as advertised. Bay side is beautiful and calm, we went in February so it was chilly and we appreciated the lack of wind on this side.
We had no issues at all but based on the fact they checked in with me personally to see if I had everything I need to check in and check out, I’m thinking they’d have been responsive.
Highly recommend this location.

This location was great. It is close to everything but at the same token far enough to give you some peace and quiet. Great spot for running, walking, biking you name it. Great spot for dogs. I can’t say enough. Lots of activities for everyone. The only drawback and still wasn’t bad was the ability to hear people walk upstairs but even that wasn’t horrible. We will be back!

Only small downside was some of the furniture felt a bit dated, and you have to be really careful with trash otherwise flies come. But that's probably to be expected. Otherwise highly recommend.
