Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabins are a little dated, however the comfort of the bed and the hot tub make up for anything it lacks aesthetically. We loved our stay and will definitely be back.

We are a family of seven, and really enjoyed our stay in the very cozy family cabin. It had a much appreciated “homey feel” at the end of a week long experience with budget motels! Our kids had a blast in their little courtyard that included a swing set, a teeter totter, and horseshoes. And we were able to save money on going out to eat by using the pots and pans provided in the kitchen to make our own meals. It even snowed a little overnight, and being desert dwellers, the heaters inside the cabin kept us all nice and toasty! Parts of the cabin needed a bit more attention from the cleaning staff — there was dust on all the curtains, and the hand soap was not refilled upon our arrival — but these things were minimal, and overall, our stay was a pleasant one, and easily our family’s favorite lodging place out of the whole trip! For the price, I highly recommend it!

We had a couple problems with the first cabin but the staff helped us the best they could. We came in at night and it was really hard to see the entrance from the road. Our first cabin number was not visable from the road so we drove around in circles to find it. The cabin was supposed to come with a hot tub but there were only completely see through curtains! We tried to use the toaster but had an unpleasant surprises mice left us. We could not get through to anyone on the phone so had to wait until the next day when we could go to the front office. The office lady could only help us so far because she said the main lady will only be in on Tues. They offered to clean the droppings but could not do anything about the curtains. So they gave us the option of switching to a cabin without a hot tub but more curtains. We still had to hang blankets over the see through one above the bed and in the bathroom. No one was there for check out. We called the office but no one answered. They have cute fridges and stoves in the rooms. The bathrooms and beds were clean and comfortable. We still have to wait to speak with someone on Tues. to see if they will discount the room for our inconvenience. If they fixed a couple things like communication, curtains and cleanliness, it would be really cute! It is in an area easily accessable to the main road.

Loved the quaint little cabin and would rent again in the summer. I had hoped to cook while I was there and didnt feel comfortable using the stove or oven. Reported that the microwave didnt work but wasnt there long enough to worry about it. Me and my grandchildren still had fun. Internet is slow and spotty.

Hidden Cabins was a nice place to stay on our trip around Arizona. Unfortunately we went during a very cold spell in January and there was more snow than in Canada. The bed was comfortable and linen was well stocked. The hot tub in the cabin is nice but the chlorine fumes are hard to take in the cabin. Not sure if anything can be done about that as it’s an indoor hot tub and needs to be cleaned regularly. But we couldn’t spend much time in it. Otherwise very cool spot very rustic and as described.

A very cute quiet little cabin. Very warm and cozy as well. I would recommend this stay to anyone looking for a nice get away, I myself will be returning!

We really enjoyed our little weekend at Hidden Rest. We stayed in the cozy little Romance cabin and felt like we had enough privacy. We never saw the hosts, which is kind of nice, although they were accessible if we needed them. The kitchen was stocked with necessities, but I'm glad we didn't bring food to cook because the appliances were older and small, so it wouldn't have been ideal. The location is great as it is central to both Pinetop/Lakeside and Show Low. It snowed while we were there and the entrance and exit were not plowed, so it would have made it difficult to move our car in and out, if it weren't for the back street. The beds were comfortable and it was nice having separation between the living room and sleeping area, as well as the warm fireplace. The one complaint I'd have is the hot tub, which is the whole reason we booked the cabin in the first place. The hot tub was so overly chlorinated that we could barely breathe inside of it. We could taste the chlorine in our throat and it burned our eyes too. Opening the window and turning down the jets helped only a little. I don’t know if it was a one-off situation or if that's how it normally is. Lastly, we went a little after Christmas, but there was still a Christmas
tree and decorations throughout the cabin which made it feel like being in a Hallmark movie. It was so cute! All in all there were goods and bads, but I would definitely give the cabins another chance.

They communication was outstanding! We ended up getting snowed in and unable to drive back home to Mesa and had to find a place to stay for the night. They were very flexible and understanding and let us check in earlier. Super nice staff and clean spaces! Very private and enjoyable.
Thanks so much!!!!

Great place to stay with dog. Nice outside area to relax.

We were pleasantly surprised to see how clean and spacious our room was. The king size bed was very comfortable! We loved the ability to have a fire in our room and thoroughly enjoyed the lit Christmas tree. We did not request the hot tub which made noise all night. More light is needed in the bathroom.

Liked the wood burning stove and the large refrigerator.

Cute cabin, nicely located near main road but yet feels like you are in the woods.

Just loved the Hidden View Cabins!!

We were given 1 towel, 1 wash cloth and 1 hand towel for a 4 nite stay. Only one dish towel and dish cloth. Had to use the same ones day after day. Microfiber at best! After 3 days we finally caught up with the manager and her excuse was that she was running 5 properties. The bathroom heater did not work. Would NEVER stay there again!

Everything was good except for the two cabins of people that hogged the outdoor fireplace and partied loud outside until midnight. Wished the 10 pm rule would have been enforced.

The pictures on the listing make this space look much larger than it is. It is very small. The office says they are open during the posted hours, but no one was there, and the door was locked. I called the number Expedia provided and it went to a mailbox that states the mailbox was full. The glasses and dishes were very dirty. There is no bar refrigerator. I had to use coolers w ice. The window frames are moldy. We drove all day to get here, so we decided to sleep for 4 hours, and then drive home, leaving at 1 am. We paid for two nights, and ended up staying for 12 hours. Not a good value. Please think twice before staying here.

Beautiful setting, the host was really nice and helpful, the cabin was great, just wish there was a more convenient firepit to sit around. A wonderful and relaxing place to stay.

It was cozy and great location! Very kind and nice communication.

Exterior of Property was very dark and hard to locate which cabin was which. Heating was out dated and didn’t work properly. Dirty washcloth was hanging behind the bathroom door. Jacuzzi water was cloudy and dirty looking.

The cabin we had was a little to small for us. Trying to set our luggage down was a hassle. The pet friendly places to stay is getting out of hand anymore. Pets should stay at home, and just doesn’t seem clean enough. If we make it next year we will chose another place to stay and not pet friendly if that’s going to be possible. Who knows?

My husband and I developed an allergic reaction to what we believe may have been animal hair (cat or dog?). He developed watery eyes. I broke out in hives. We did not realize it when booking but animals may have stayed in the cabin prior. Also, the power went out in the middle of the night on Friday night. We had to get up early and were forced to take a shower with our cell phone light.

No one available at check in. Only note taped to front door with cabin assignment and door code for access. No interior locking door device for security. No communication from host prior to arrival or during our stay. Mattress creaky, old, worn out. Hot tub noisy. A/C unit operation sounded life a truck coming through. If you use any dishes or use any trash receptacles you must clean cups/dishes and empty trash prior to departure. Really!!
Commercial dumpster emptying at PRE-DAWN was an especially nice touch. Woke the entire place up!
Paid for two nights in advance, left after first night's experience. Could not face another night of discomfort. "Resort" description in title "Hidden Rest Cabins & "Resort" ..what an exaggeration. Nothing "Resort" about this place.
Save your money. Look elsewhere.

Only needed overnight bed (OK for that)/ Could be updated small bath/shower (hard to adjust unless at least 6 ft tall)
No face to face contact (notes/texts) - no office hours on weekends (phone only)
