The property was very well maintained. The apartment is what you expect from a seaside environment. Beach in front. Some people saw a turtle in the water. Beach was pleasant. We needed water shoes because it was rocky. Closet had sun screen. Washer and dryer at the pool area. Pool itself was great for the little time we spent there. Upon arrival, Google sent us to the wrong place. VRBO's app was not good. Had a hard time getting onto the site and finding the property was not easy. Their phone customer service was quite helpful, thankfully. Owner responsive. Research St. Croix before going if you are not familiar with the island.

The condo is in an ideal location. It was clean and has a cozy feeling. I had a question and the owner answered my question quickly. The beach is literally a few steps away, however, due to the seaweed situation we were unable to use that beach. Definitely a place l will stay at again.

Give home base if you have a rental car.

We could not have been more pleased with our choice to stay here. Everything was so nice, clean, and just like it looks in the pictures. The view was unparalleled. Sitting on the back porch sipping our coffee we saw hermit crabs, a mongoose, cute little lizards, and constant hummingbirds coming to the feeder that hangs by the back porch. We will definitely be back!

The location was amazing. Just like the pictures. We walked out the door and onto a beautiful private beach that never had more than 3 people on it. Literally went snorkeling right off the back patio. Property was great. We had one minor issue that was addressed by the property owner quickly. It was an amazing vacation.

Great property. Terrific communication with owner. Beach was lovely. Area was quiet, but with lots to do nearby. Would definitely go back.

We were pleasantly surprised with our stay at Sugar Beach with Steve. The property is by the ocean and Steve was very thoughtful in providing basic utensils that made our life much more convenient. The upstairs neighbor is a restless decorator who constantly moved the house's furniture around, and I believe that he is now so tired that is unlikely to disturb the next guests. We had neighbors a little more enthusiastic just in the last 2 days and except for that, we envisioned the perfect stay.

I have to admit it was the best vacation I have ever been on. The access to the beach was amazing, the neighbors were friendly, the islanders were welcoming and freaking awesome! The views are spectacular and the fact that everything on the island is only a 30 or less minute drive. In fact, we are on a 3 year plan to move to St. Croix….and we could live right there perfectly in paradise for the rest of our lives! Thank you so much for the experience!

Our visit to Sugar Beach was a sweet surprise. This was our first time staying in a first floor unit and we may have found our new favorite. What a joy to walk right out onto the beach. The unit provided everything we needed for a wonderful stay. The owners and property manager were very responsive and ready to help with anything. This is a new rental unit and the owners are in the process of fine tuning it for renters. It is a studio unit so be sure you like your travel mate 😁. The A/C is cold but you won’t need it as there is a constant breeze. Just open the sliders and the front door! The gallery/covered porch was our favorite spot for just about everything! The unit provided a smart TV and free Wi-if that worked well. The kitchen was well stocked - and included a brand new small crockpot - great for those days when you’re out and about and come home to a ready meal! There’s been a lot of talk about the sargassum seaweed. We only experienced the smallest amount here at Sugar Beach. The beach cleaning crew cleaned the beach every morning (except Sundays). The water and beach were perfect. Sugar Beach condo has one of the best pools on the island. It’s maintained beautifully and is one of the highlights of our stay. We had a great trip and enjoyed every single thing. The only thing that would have made our stay better is if we didn’t have to leave! We will definitely be back.

This unit was the perfect size for my husband and I. We rented it from r the week and it wasblocated very central to everything on the island. While we didn't use the kitchen for meals, we did see that it would have been adequate to do so. The patio was nice to relax on although a fan would be a nice addition for that area as the breeze doesn't quite make it in during midday. The price, the location and the ease of check in were top notch!
