You are in a really quiet village and you look at the Tuscan hills from the window of your room. How to beat that. It was the best room in our entire trip. Impeccable on the inside and ancient and original on the outside. Breakfast is amazing and they skillfully prepare your hot food/drinks like eggs/capucino on the spot, per your request.
Not much, besides the fact that it rained for 1 day during our visit 😁. Would be nice to have some option to buy water and alike since you need to travel otherwise to a larger next village.

We enjoyed our stay at Volpaia. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the property manager was excellent, and the location was great too.
The breakfast was wonderful but we wish it would be available earlier in the morning.

We stayed at Castello di Volpaia for our honeymoon, and it was fantastic. The room was very modern and updated, which can be difficult to find in Italy. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very nice and spacious. The village was beautiful and a nice place to walk around. There are quite a few good food options to choose from. We did the Volpaia wine tour, which we really enjoyed. The pool area was a perfect place to relax, and breakfast was quite good. Just to note - the winery is called Castello di Volpaia, but the accommodation / village isn't actually a castle (which we found out after arriving, though it didn't impact our stay).

The history , cleanliness and the attention to keeping it medieval and historical. The organic farm practices. This place was exceptional form start to finish.

The location, rooms, staff and restaurant were all fantastic. We really enjoyed the wine tour. Some of the best wine we have tasted in Chianti. We are hoping to visit again soon.

Absolutely stunning location, amazing views, so peaceful & quiet. Room was immaculately clean & the bed was so comfy. Staff were lovely & friendly and we enjoyed the wine tour, immensely. Breakfast was served in a lovely building either indoors or on the terrace. Selection was varied with meats, cheeses, pastries, cakes & beautiful fresh eggs & pancetta served fresh to order. On realising my husband was 'Gluten Free' the lovely lady had organised a superb homemade chocolate treat for him. There is a fabulous cafe, food is excellent & reasonable. We ate at the Osteria restaurant one evening where we received excellent, friendly service & beautifully prepared food including fresh, homemade bread, delicious!! Thank you for a wonderful stay, we would highly recommend!

Volpaia is magical - stunningly beautiful and like a step back in time
The location is remote - if you are arriving in a minivan, be prepared to spend plenty of time getting in and out on tiny roads everyday.

our stay was the highlight of the trip. the property was beautiful, well kept and recently renovated. what made the stay were the incredible staff who made us feel at home. we’ll definitely be back. thank you Volpaia!

Great views, clean room and nice swimming pool area. Also we had a little ”balcony” which was a great extra and not expected. Overall, such an amazing stay at Castello di Volpaia!
In the room there were no privacy in the shower and toilet. So if travelling with friends, this would be good to take into consideration.

Quiet place. Lovely wine and food. Swimming pool with fantastic views.
Nice breakfast.
They provide the shampoo, conditioner and body milk, which are exceptional quality.
If you want a wine tour at Volpaia you have to book it in advance, otherwise slots may all be gone. The property should inform guests of this risk in advance.

stunning location! different restaurants on the property, amazing views from the pool, room, restaurants, seating areas. our favourite stay of the trip! staff was so friendly even when our plane and rental car were 2 hours late (after check in). So helpful!

castello di Volpaia is situated in the most beautiful landscape overlooking mesmerising wine yards. It was incredible to stay in the old borgo with its beautiful old buildings. we really recommend to do a wine tasting tour which allows you to enter the wine factory buildings with all its machinery hidden amongst the old borgo
