The staff is absolutely amazinggg!!! Everyone is extremely friendly and very helpful. The security team is on it promise you will feel extremely safe. They speak English and if not they mostly understand but as a not fluent speaker they were even able to understand me. I think this was 1000% worth the trip and photos are real the resort is absolutely stunning. The buffet food is really good they have many different options almost everyday and the food truck on the beach also really good, the resort does have other restaurants on the property but personally I only tried the Italian one and the pasta was okay honestly the buffet is better. They do have a nearby beach which was gorgeous and a nearby mini shopping area with gift stores as well. All within walking distance if you want a stroll area also very safe not once did I feel unsafe truly I highly recommend booking!!!

I need whom ever is reading this to contact me ASAP, I almost got kidnapped because I was unweare that this place wasn't in Punta Cana but an hour away, Ispent over $100 there AND BACK (a piece over $100 to drive to this place and over $100 to drive back to the airport). This place was small as hell 2 star villa. The rooms were small as hell shower and bathroom TERRIBLE, I felt like I was in a bando (slang for a broken down home). I want my got damn money back I would never again book through fun jet or expedia and NEVER fly Frontier ever the hell again I don't care I'll spend American money to fly better!

Staff is friendly and respectful. Safe environment inside hotel. Variety of food for all tastes and preferences included. The pool area has a beautiful view. It is amazing around sunset especially. Highly recommend staying here!

This is not a 4 star. It's at best 2.5 and that's being generous. If you only want to lay down all day and play ping pong, this is the place for you. I've been to many resorts in Dominican and this is by far the least favorite. I'm not a picky person, however the rooms were absolutely terrible and if you like entertainment and having fun look elsewhere.
Also, my room smelled like sewer each day more and more. Please believe me and don't dare go.

Compared to other resorts, it is a quiet environment which I loved, however my husband prefers more of the party scene.

The Alma de Bayahíbe is a truly beautiful facility with five great pools, lots of poolside lounging, excellent restaurants, inventive drinks, and most importantly, a wonderful and caring staff!
Definitely recommend this place for quality, service, comfort, value, and some of the best ever sunsets!

Just want people to know that This place is not a resort, from my experience, it does not have even a hotel quality. The rooms are very much rundown, Not clean neither. Staffs are not professional. Food is just ok. The pools are nice with nice ocean views. 45 minutes drive from Punta Cana international airport.

We were greeted by some of the most kind, caring, and cordial people you might ever find. The staff is superb!
This is not a fancy resort. This is a highly serviceable experience without many frills. The food is steady but it is largely buffet style. My granddaughters and I found the food quality to be highly satisfying and appetizing.
The evening waterfront entertainment is excellent. The sunsets are simply unbelievable!
This is a resort of excellent value. We thoroughly enjoyed our seven days. In every way!

Booked an ocean view, which we didnt get. Room floor tiles broken, hand prints from previous guest on bathroom walls, other rooms could see directly into the bathroom/shower. It was like pulling teeth to get towels, started with 2 face, 2 hand, 2 body then day by our 2nd/3rd day only had body towels left by the cleaning. Requested new face towels and never got them, only a rude employee that would bring body towels, when asked her directly for face towel, said no have and walked away. Buffet is ok, i do not recommend eating any of the seafood they cook though, as nothing seems to be cleaned. Staff in the buffet and bar though very friendly.

There is no transportation to or from the hospital, except for private taxis. The food was terrible. It was too late to cancel, we just tried to make the most of it.

The location and the property was beautiful, but we were underwhelmed by the way it was managed. With proper attention, this could be a truly spectacular experience.
Our chief complaint was the food: The resort offered a huge buffet, and three ala carte restaurants, as well as a food truck. For the buffet: There's no way to put this gently - - The food was just bad. The fish was old and really smelly, the calamari was rubbery, and
the desserts, weren't sweet or flavorful. The only exceptions were the "local" selections like stewed beef and chicken over rice, the fried yucca and the
bananas/plantains. The rest was just bad executions of American or European dishes. Chef should stick to and expand on the local offerings. I would have paid MORE for better quality. Skip the Italian ala carte - - we detected no Italian seasonings in the lasagna, the Alfredo, or the pizza, and the canole (normally one of our favorites) was so salty that it just wast edible. Tashimi, their Japanese restaurant wasn't any better - - the Filet and strip steaks we ordered turned out to be just round steak. Best choice: stick with the breakfast-only, and go offsite for dinner.
Would we do it again ? Frankly, no - - mostly because we don't really like the "rich people behind walls" mentality of an all-inclusive. We thought we'd give it a try again, and hoped this place might change our mind. Instead, they only reinforced our previous choices to go our own way and take our chances.

The check-in process was very slow. We arrived at 0930am and they would not allow us to check in early. After waiting until about 3:30pm, we finally got our room. When we entered, it was not the garden view room we paid for. We had to wait another 30 minutes to get a garden view room. Once we got in, the shower head was broken and there was no hot water, whatsoever. We asked several times and they said they would send someone to fix it, but it remained cold for the next few days. On day 3 they finally switched us to another room with hot water, but the toilet would not flush. Overall, the resort did not even have 1 jacuzzi, the food at the buffet tasted terrible, and the bars serve very cheap liquor. Also, if you’re flying into Santo Domingo International Airport, be prepared for a 1.5 hour drive to the resort with a very expensive taxi service fee. Uber does run in the area, but after reserving your Uber, the driver will message you and try to double the price set by Uber. Overall, not a country we would ever want to return to. You get the feeling that you are being taken advantage of every step of the way.

Was a great experience. The staff were very courteous and helpful. There’s always an option for food from the buffet spread. Japanese restaurant was top tier. To the front desk staff - thank you for adding the cherry on top of my trip! Appreciate all your efforts!
