I was coming back from a long trip all the way from the Maldives with an even longer layover of 8h at the Dubai Airport. Landed in Sofia around 3 pm in the afternoon and around 8 pm. I was in Skopje. Even though I'm Macedonian, all my relatives were out and didn't have proper transport to Gevgelija, so I had to stay the night in Skopje. Thanks to booking I found Hotel Villa Alexander. What a comfy place. I had the entire flat for me. Private bathroom, 3 beds, and one king-size bed. The host was exceptionally generous to drive me to the city centre the next morning where my friend was waiting to pick me up without charging me any money. Not all hosts are that generous!!! I recommend it to everyone and for sure I'll be back.

Hotel is easy to find in a great location near the center. Owner is extremely kind and helpful. The apartment is huge with everything you need for short or long stay. Our stay was comfortable and it felt like home. Highly recommended!

We had a nice time in Skopje and the hotel was perfectly located in a good district! Beautiful room like in the pictures! There was a parking for our car and the host was very nice! I recommend!

We stayed only for one night but we were satisfied. Room was nice, clean and comfortable bed. Very good value for money. The owner came for us to pick us up from the station which was great coz we came late and the hotel was quite far from city center in the hills. The area was very nice and peaceful. But it might be far if you want to sightseeing. We didn't so for us it didn't matter. Also it was very convenient that we used option of airport shuttle.

Good, cosy, cheap apartments with parking in Skopje, at the foothilla of Vodno mountain. Kind and nice guy at the reception willing to help with everything and offers coffee, beer, water to the guests. Room is spacious and comfortable, with kitchen and terrace and aircondition.

Very spacious room, value for money and very kind host. We liked the balcony and location close to the mountain. Mini market close by. Not many parking spaces but host goes out of his way to make it work. We were pleasantly surprised.
Some repairs are needed but then it would probably be more expensive so we prefer it with imperfections. Missed bed side lights.

The host was extraordinarily welcoming; he warmly answered all our questions, he was always available for us even at less suitable times (we thank him a lot for that). It is a perfect location for a few days in Skopje. It is located in a secluded, quiet area. I really appreciated the way the building is decorated inside; the furniture is gorgeous. We found a clean apartment, equipped with many facilities. The balcony was comfortable, and the car can be parked either in the yard (2 places) or in a parking lot outside the yard, but located nearby. In essence, even though we only stayed 1 night, it is a location we would like to return to.

The owner was very polite and ready to help us whenever we needed. Big plus for the parking, rooms were big and clean, Wi-fi excelent. Location is very close to Baba Cana restaurant, we eated there for 3 times and the food is tasty. I liked a lot the vintage design and i'm sorry that we were on a hurry, cause if we jad stayed longer, definitely i would have made some beautiful photos.
P.S: booking put automatic the 7 score, but in my opinion, it deserves an 8, maybe 8.5
We stayed only one night and the hot water works with a sistem based on sun and we haven't the posibility to make a shower that night, because it was only cold water, but in the morning water was ok.
In one room, the doorknob at the bathroom was damage, but if these things will be solved in the future, this accommodation will become perfect.

Very clean, cozy and spacious room with a balcony and a comfortable bed. We had a good night sleep :) Property is located in a very quiet and lovely neighborhood, close to hiking trails and just 30min walk from the bus station.

The owner is super welcoming and always around if you need anything. Even offered to take us to the city center.
At first we got a room with not working ac and burnt out light bulb. But later in the evening he offered us to change our room into a bigger and better one because the guests didn’t arrive. We stayed there two nights and really enjoyed the place.
There was a kitchen in our room but it wasn’t very clean (especially the oven, but we didn’t need to use it).

Good value for the money, good place to stay for a night if you are in transit ANd want to visit the city for a few hours.

Our host was very nice and we had a long a conversation, bombarding him with questions about Macedonia. The room had an old-timey feel with nice furniture but a very modern and spacious bathroom. It was too hot to even consider it, but the hotel is very close to the hill with the cable car and the cross on top so it could make a nice location for hiking. It's also not very far from the town center. Few breakfast places and a quite nice restaurant nearby (literally one street down). Buses running to town from the main road, the bus stop is just a few meters up from the hotel.
All was good except fro the heat. :)

The location was brilliant, the host made us feel very welcome, he also helped my friend as we arrived and got him some medication! The host is absolutely amazing, very hospitable and friendly, also told us where to go and what to see. The room was very cosy and clean. I would definitely recommend the stay here!
Only thing was wifi, it wasn't working too well in our room but it wasn't that important anyway
