People running hotel were very friendly

People were very nice, check in was easy. We chose hotels on our road trip for 3 main reasons, 1. Pool/ hot tub 2. Breakfast 3. Price/ location. We got checked in only to find the pool/ hot tub and gym were all closed. Breakfast in the morning was a little disappointing to because the waffle irons were broken. Overall the room was clean and workers were friendly.

This was quite possibly the worst experience I've ever had. Took my friend and I 30 minutes to check in. While checking in, the manager whom had very broken English, told us that we could not go in the pool, because he put chemicals in it and it needed to sit for 24 hours. That was annoying, after our 4 hour trip from Wisconsin. Then we were told to park way behind the hotel, because we had a trailer with a UTV on it. It was frustrating, because it was a long walk to unload our vehicle. Once we got to the room, we noticed that the lamp was coming off of the wall and could see the cords. Then only one outlet worked. We left and went out to dinner, and then my friend Laura Nys came. Due to the difficulty to check in, I went with her and told them to leave it in my name, thinking it would be easier. IT WAS DEFINITELY NOT!!! We got settled, and then they called my friends phone, trying to tell her that she needed to pay for her room. We explained that I paid for the room. He called again and we told him again. Then he called a 3rd time and we decided to just go down there and show him, that I aggreed to pay for her room. He then tried to tell her that he needed her credit card. Then he tried to get me to cancel my reservation through Expedia. He said he doesnt make any money when people book that way. Then he and his wife (I think), told us to leave a good review, and that they Love Jesus. Which is fine, I love him too, but they were pretty extreme with their "evangelism". After

The manager stated that you canceled my reservation and no other room was available. You better not charge me!

Was surprised that there was no coffee in the room. I left the motel around 7a and there was no coffee or breakfast items.

We booked a room as we were driving in from another area of Michigan, and were easily able to get a room. It is quiet, on the edge of town, and the check in was easy. The night desk person was wonderful! The property is older, but well kept, the linens were clean and the bed comfortable.

Current ownership doesnt seem to care about cleanliness or upgrades

It was just old it was ok for one night breakfast sucked though you get what you pay for

At check in we were asked if we had pets with us. We told them no. Next day a few hours after we checked out they called and asked again if we had a dog in our room. No! The pool that was an amenity was not open, sounds like it hasn’t been open in years after reading other reviews. We found the owner of the hotel leaking outside our room 2 different times. The room card didn’t work at all had to have it changed out a few times. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I wish we could get a refund.

Clean, crisp sheets on the bed. That's what is needed. Staff very kind.

Dirties hotel I have every stayed at. Not vacuumed, dead spider and bug in draw when we opened it. Room was like a sauna when you walked in it and took about 4 hours to cool down to be able to sleep. King bed was a queen bed and that’s all they had even though we had reservations for king. The pool was closed and not in working order, which was not mentioned. One positive staff was friendly.

A complete dump, the "amenities" were all closed. The pool is empty, the breakfast room locked due to covid. No masks or social distancing. There was hardly any toilet paper in the bathroom!

The front desk clerks, who I think were the owners, were great, super friendly. However, the grounds & building itself definitely lacking in cleanliness. No one ever cleaned our room during our stay. In order to get new towels or grabage changed, we were to leave our dirty towels/trash can outside our door. There was dog hair everywhere from owners dog. Only gave us 3 pillows with our king size bed. Pool was not open for use. Shower had good water pressure & AC was cold. It was a place for the bf & I to lay our heads & it did JUST that.

Very nice decor. Staff was friendly and allowed us to check in a little early.

No negative comments. Very nice to have a subway in walking distance. Room was comfortable enough, clean enough to leave a tip!

The staff was weird and rude, my brother also Stayed his room wasn’t ready yet at 530 so he went to the holiday in. My sisters room bathroom 🚽 was Plugged and was told to use the lobby one never will I stay there again

Hotel was very shady. Our toliet got clogged and instead of getting a new room we were told to use the lobby bathroom if we needed to use a bathroom. No clean towels for a 3 night stay.

The place is dirty and poorly maintained, so if you are no stranger to the Super 8 brand you'll not have any surprises here. This room in particular looked like it had hosted a traveling mechanic who did some work in the room. The pool is out of commission because of the Cooties game and the website does not tell you this in advance. This was a huge disappointment for my 10 year old after a hard days travel. This might be a statewide issue (even though most of the country has opened back up) but nonetheless disappointing. I love to say nice things about a property, but I need something to work with...something more than, "the roof didn't leak", or "we didn't get bit by bedbugs". I guess I can say that the exterior is well maintained. The interior, the part that really counts, leaves much to be desired. I know we are all crawling out from under the terrible impact of the Plannedemic and some issues will take time to rectify. Lets hope that early profits are reinvested into much-needed maintenance.

Ice machine good. Pool and fitness areas closed. Mattress needs replacing, no elevator, ac minimal.

Desk clerk was not overly friendly. Pets are welcome. Clerk did explain where to walk dog on property. Exterior of hotel appears run down. Rooms were/are clean and spacious. Very few of the exterior doors were locked.

The place stinked makes me wonder how hygienic the place was... Why need to hide smells with plugins in hallway? The person at desk was a bit shroud when we explained our concerns and wanted to be commendated for our inconviences. The bed was very uncomfortably thanks to the hard springs in mattress. I ended up staying here as I was to tired to care but we where thinking of staying at another place for the night.

The hotel was very clean and staff very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend this place.

It is an old building with water stains on the ceiling in the bathroom. Staff was nice enough. Hallway smelled bad, rooms werent horrible. Would not stay here again.

I realize many things were closed do to covid 19, no breakfast, no pool, no fitness center, but seriously no extra towel.
