Luxor was our two days stop on the way from Cairo to Hurghada. We didn't plan much and didn't expect to see much, but thanks to our host Ahmed and his team at Villa Rebecca we experienced everything there is to experience in this wonderful place which is Luxor.
First and foremost, Ahmed was kind enough to offer a free pick-up from the west bank of Luxor once we got off from the ferry. It's really easy to get to the ferry itself from the Bus/Train station on the east bank, but we're really glad we were picked up on the west side of Nile by our host himself. This shows that he's a host with a huge heart.
The Villa Rebecca itself is a dream-like destination for every traveler and anyone trying to tank energy.
Our apartment was very clean and almost too big for two of us. We liked staying there, also on the rooftop, where delicious breakfast took place, freshly prepared every morning by Ahmed's brother.
The Omelette in the Bowl and Sunny bread are some of the best things we ate during our Egypt trip.
The View from the rooftop is phenomenal: Luxor Temple and winter palace to the east, The Mountain with The Valley of The Kings/Queens and Balloons in the sky to the west. Surrounded by endless Banana Trees. This is a very good Location for short, but also for longer stays. Very soothing ambiences.
All is also rather nearby and Ahmed offered us his Friend's, Ali's help to show us around. Ali picked us up and drove us everywhere only to pick us later up again, all for a very fair rate. Ali's nephew also operates a water taxi which was another highlight for us. He drove us to Karnak Temple on Nile, like in ancient times and waited for us to come back to the boat, which took 3 hours... Like said before, the price was absolutely ok and fair.
Overall, we are happy that we have chosen this location, to be honest, we can't wait to come back!

Ahmed et son frère sont des hôtes extraordinaires qui ont littéralement tout fait pour que notre séjour se déroule parfaitement. Ahmed est super réactif au téléphone ou sur whatsapp et nous a donné en temps réel d'excellents conseils de voyage. C'est inestimable d'avoir un référent de confiance dans un pays où tout peut paraître compliqué et aléatoire.
La Villa Rebecca est un lieu magnifique avec un rooftop donnant sur une superbe vue sur le Nil et les champs voisins.
Le petit déjeuner est très copieux et nous a été servi à l'heure qu'on voulait sur le rooftop... Le vrai luxe !
Ahmed nous a amené en voiture gratuitement à la demande à l'embarcadère pour le quai Est. Sinon, il y a 20mn de marche agréable le long du Nil pour arriver à la Villa Rebecca.
Nous sommes super contents d'avoir choisi de résider sur la rive Ouest du Nil où c'est 100x plus calme que sur la rive Est.
Sur la côte Ouest, on se sent dans un village au calme où on n'est pas harcelé en permanence pour une calèche, une visite, un guide etc...
Ahmed a mis à notre disposition tout un réseau de confiance où sans négocier, on a directement le prix juste et le service qui va avec.
Comme je l'ai lu dans un commentaire, qui est finalement très vrai : on arrive en client et on repart en ami !

The guesthouse is located on the West Bank of Luxor where is peaceful and quiet. Ahmed and his brother were excellent hosts, they were always helpful, informative, trustful and friendly. They ran extra miles to make my stay enjoyable in Luxor. My room was clean, the bed was comfortable. They even prepared my breakfast at 6am, so I could have that on the go for my trip. I'll definitely stay in Villa Rebecca if I come back to Luxor again. Thanks Ahmed and his brother x

C est un magnifique endroit pour séjourner à Louxor : appartement très confortable et roof top avec vue sur le Nil et bananeraies tout autour.Ahmed et son frère Mohamed ont été extrêmement chaleureux et ont proposé leur aide à chaque instant, Ahmed se montrant disponible pour nous accompagner en voiture jusqu a l embarcadère pour Louxor situé à 25mn de marche (la ballade à pied le long du Nil est magique)…En 30 ans de voyage, je n ai jamais rencontré autant de générosité et de disponibilité de la part d hôtes. Un grand merci à nouveau à Ahmed et à son frère Mohamed qui nous a préparé des petits déjeuners très savoureux et copieux en restant toujours attentif.Vous passerez chez eux un séjour inoubliable, loin du tumulte de Louxor : vous êtes à la campagne sur la rive Ouest et vous rencontrez les habitants charmants et très accueillants.

Franchement, c'était top ! Si vous voulez un logement sympa, au calme, sécurisé et pas cher : n'hésitez pas. 😀 nous sommes restés 6 nuits chez Ahmed et c'était super sympa. Logement confortable et spacieux. Petit déjeuner copieux et à volonté sur le roof top avec vue sur le Nil. Que demander de plus à ce prix là ???
Ahmed organise vos sorties à un prix local imbattable alors vous pouvez lui faire confiance les yeux fermés. Il faudra vous déplacer en taxi local ou en bateau taxi pour vos excursions et ça se fait très bien. Petit conseil de voyageur : à Louxor vous devrez payer vos excursions avec votre carte bancaire uniquement , donc vous pouvez garder des dollars et des euros avec vous car ce sont des monnaies très prisées pour faire du change.
P.s : demandez à faire la vallée des reines en excursion solo avec option tombe Nefertari...c'est cher mais c'est magique ! Comptez 50 euros en plus par personne pour cette tombe unique...
On vous recommande vivement ce logement. Go go go !

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Ahmed et Mahmoud qui nous ont accueillies très chaleureusement et ont été au petit soin pendant toute la durée de notre séjour.
L'appartement (du rez-de-chaussée) est très spacieux, le lit est confortable, tout est très propre.
Le petit déjeuner est servi sur le toit terrasse avec vue sur le Nil et Louxor d'un côté, sur la Vallée des Rois de l'autre. Et quel petit déjeuner ! Des œufs, des falafels, des aubergines rôties, du foul, des crudités, du fromage... un véritable festin !
Côté localisation géographique, la villa est très au calme, un peu excentrée (environ 25/30 minutes à pied de l'embarcadère qui permet de rejoindre Louxor) mais Ahmed s'est rendu disponible pour nous emmener ou venir nous chercher, notamment le soir. Le trajet à pied est très agréable, à travers la campagne.
Ahmed nous a aussi aidées à réserver excursions et chauffeurs à des tarifs préférentiels !
En résumé : une villa superbe, des hôtes adorables et disponibles, des petits déjeuners au top et un service excellent !
Rien que nous n'ayons pas apprécié !
Attention : pour l'eau chaude, il faut penser à allumer l'interrupteur dans la cuisine ;-)

I would like to thank Ahmed and Mahmoud for their hospitality and service, Ahmed arranged everything for us to get picked up on East side on the bus and boat to west side despite arriving late. He was very kind and you could see his love for the place as he showed it to us. While it's far he was always available to pick us up at any time from the villa to the ferry.
The apartment was really comfy and for the value it was one of the best stays in terms of value/price of our trip to Egypt.

Adoramos os preços dos passeios para o lado oeste do rio. O preço era bom e não precisamos nos preocupar com o horário. Como acontece com as agências.

Ahmed is a great host. Very kind and hospitable. He answers messages quickly, and is always there to help. Stunning view of the Nile on the rooftop. Breakfast is served on the roof, and the food is very good. He provided breakfast according to my dietary needs (vegan) without any problem. The breakfast is tasty and included in the price. Ahmed is happy to help with reccomendations for nearby temples, and is happy to help you find a driver and a guide. The location is very peaceful and quiet on the West bank. Overall a great stay, and I'm happy I chose Villa Rebecca. Will come again.

The place was simple and clean, we wanted to spend more time enjoying the view on the roof but we had a very limited time.

The staff was super kind and helpful. Mr Ahmed helped us book an excellent driver for tours also an agency for hot air ballons ride at sunrise. The place was clean and the view from the rooftop amazing. Everything was as expected.

I liked everything about this place. The room was spacious, clean, and there were everything that I could need in the room. Air conditioning was helpful. The place is in a quite neighborhood. The sight from the rooftop is mesmerizing.
Ahmed, the manager of the place, is such a helpful person. Even if you text him on WhatsApp, he responds very quickly and fulfills your need. Almost everything I asked for was done for free. He organized private car for us to visit places for fair prices. Ali, the driver, was also kind and helpful.
In a touristic place like Luxor, you need to stay in this place to save your money and be comfortable. If I come to Luxor again, I will definitely stay here.

The house is spacious enough and clean. It is relaxing to stay for a very short period of time. The owners are very nice to accommodate you.
Everything was good in our stay except the cutting off of electricity multiple times which interrupted our rest. This problem is not actually on the villa but on the Egypt’s new electricity cycle happening everywhere. So, just be prepared.

Beautiful, quiet location and spacious apartment. Host is extremely kind and helpful, happy to fulfill any requests and transportation needs. Breakfast was really good, served on a beautiful rooftop.

The place was brand new, clean, the staff was amazing, kind and very helpful (especially Ahmed). And the view from rooftop was breathtaking, peaceful.
There were two horses to pet called Rebecca and Ameera. If you are traveling solo or with your family, you could stay in Villa Rebecca without thinking. 😊
