Loved the restaurant and bar within the property as it is next to a river and has outside seating. The ducks will keep you entertained, lol!
Our room was very small and first room off the elevator. We heard plenty of late night conversations after hours. There was a noise machine available at the bedside and a very nice touch. I couldn’t get the tv to work for the life of me and didn’t call to the front desk to fix bc it was already very when I tried it.
Our room had a bathroom with a toilet and shower but the sink and mirror was outside of the bathroom area. Tea and coffee options available in the room on a side table was a nice touch. Bed was comfortable. Room was clean.

Room 201 smells bad of water damage. They keep a dehumidifier in it for a reason.
The room wasn’t stocked with sheets.

Fantastic service! Cozy, quaint, clean rooms. Hand crafted bourbon drinks. Beautiful location. Will definitely stay here again!

The location was convenient to all we wanted to do. The scenery was great. Peaceful creek and outdoor seating and dining was perfect. Staff took great care of us.

We liked the cleanliness of our room. We hoped for more gluten free options from the Old Mill's restaurant at our complimentary breakfast. But over all very good.

The property was nice and clean. Our room was clean, and much larger than I expected. I do not remember her name, but the lady at the front desk upon check-in was very friendly. She even walked us to our room. One thing I could have done without was the dehumidifier in the room. Combined with the noise of the air conditioner, it was very hard to sleep. It even made it difficult to watch tv once we went back to our room.
If staying here, I would recommend eating dinner at one of the other restaurants in town. The food was bland, and the service was horrible. We even heard people at other tables complaining about the service.

Gorgeous off the beaten track spot. Perfect for dog owners. There's a dog menu and separate dining area so your pooches can dine with you.

Very picturesque setting in beautiful Damascus. Cool hotel housed in an old mill. Nice grounds around the hotel and of course Damascus is very pedestrian friendly. Sad to see how most housing is setup for tourists riding the Creeper Trail. The town seems to be taken over!
The rooms was tiny and overpriced, with a saggy bed and a window AC that droned off and on throughout the night making it impossible to sleep. Morning breakfast was the usual found in most hotels these days. Beautiful view at breakfast, looking out on the river. $50 extra for my dog to stay 👎.
Overall, I would not choose to stay here again.

It is a wonderful quaint place, the staff was super nice! My dog Bear really enjoyed all the love and attention he got from the staff and he even got to sit at the dinning room table and order his food off the menu :-) He had such a good time! I really admire the person that took this old mill and came up with the restaurant/ hotel idea- it is beautiful there!
