Location was good. Area was quiet and backyard space was ample for kids. The rooms were sufficient size and living space / kitchen was good

We were locked out of the house for 20minutes on arrival with no way to easily contact the host urgently, as the keycode to enter the property was wrong on the emails. We called the host, but office hours were shut at 5pm, even though arrival time was 3-6pm. We called at 5:10 to no answer but to message a mobile number and wait feedback. After messaging, and then trying to call (to immediate disconnect sound), we found the correct code through clicking every link on all emails received - not straightforward after a long drive with kids. The description of the property was incorrect, it mentioned beach towels would be provided - there were none. It mentioned kid toys and games - there were none (unless incomplete jenga and cards counts). There was 3 toilet rolls for 6 people over 4 days - less than sufficient and no where to find spares. There was no available cleaning chemicals or equipment for the bathrooms or toilets. If we knew this going into it, we could have brought more and packed accordingly. Expectations are low going into a rental house for a stay, but you'd expect the basics - this property missed that on a few areas. If the price was half of what we paid, no issues at all (10 out of 10), but for premium price (which we were charged), 6 out of 10 being generous.
