This home, set in a stunning 18th-century neoclassical building dating from 1838, has an excellent location. You can stroll over to many of the city's iconic landmarks, such as the Syntagma and Monastiraki, the Acropolis and Plaka. There are an array of restaurants, cafes and bars nearby, too, which is convenient as this home only has a kitchenette. We love the small balcony, which is perfect for candlelit suppers. There's also a communal roof terrace with views over the Acropolis. This place makes a great Athens bolthole. Home truths: *You'll have access to the rooftop terrace here. It's shared with the building's other residents. *There's no lift here. You'll need to be able to climb stairs to reach the entrance of the home. *There's no living area here. *You won't find an oven here – though there is a hob. There are plenty of eateries nearby. *The toilet is separate to the shower room. *There's no washing machine here, but there's a laundrette within walking distance or a short cab ride away. *Given the home's central spot, expect to hear some street noise throughout your stay.
