Read Google Map Reviews - this place doesn't deserve its rating

The bed is comfortable.

It is not an apartment, it is a room in an old apartment. A cramped one at that. It is dark, because natural light only comes from one side of the room, and half of the room is obstructed by a dividing wall. The stove is underpowered and you will struggle to bowl water with it. It is stuffy, yes, there is a window that opens, but the window faces one of the busiest streets in Riga, a street that has at least 4 lanes of bidirectional traffic 24 hours a day - I didn't want to listen to cars driving past while I'm sleeping. You will not find any additional blankets, sheets, or amenities that you will find in competitors properties. Despite booking the property with a child, she wanted an additional 5 euros per night for a sheet to put on the couch, we already had our own sheets and blanket and the uncivilised host still badgered us as we were checking out to pay her more money. landlord will break into your room anytime she wants

this so-called apartment is an old fashioned apartment divided into 3 separate rooms. I live in 5-3, which is one of the 3 rooms. 1-landlord, a senior lady, broke in my room at my 2nd night here, saw me and said nothing, just appeared in front of my surprised face and then "fleed". I ran out in staircase, where she stood with a man with big black dog and she greeted me "hello!" 2-room is cold 3-tap water is a little cloudy 4-the floor is made of old,wet wood stick. when you walk, it makes noise. you might be fine, but wait for your neighbour's complaint. 5-since 2nd day, there are people running up and down on stairs outside my room，stomping heavily days and nights. couldn't sleep at all. evil...

In general more pros than cons

The host responds quite fast and is flexible since he provides a non contact check-in. The rooms are quite small, but it was enough for a family to stay over the New Year weekend. Apartments were warm, no bad smell (maybe a bit in the corridor), TV with channels for kids, 24/7 grocery store nearby. Need to cross the street for the parking, but it's fine knowing the location.

2 out of 3 rooms booked were not ready when we arrived and needed to wait around 30 minutes to be cleaned. Some rooms have boilers for the hot water, so either you save hot water or wait 20 minutes if it goes empty.

Ich würde definitiv in Betracht ziehen, hier wieder zu übernachten.

Ich habe vor kurzem im Baltic Design Apartment übernachtet und war sehr zufrieden mit dem Erlebnis. Für den Preis, den wir gezahlt haben, war es ein hervorragendes Angebot. Die Wohnung hatte alles, was wir für unseren Urlaub brauchten, und wir konnten bequem für fünf Tage bleiben. Es war toll, dass wir die Möglichkeit hatten, unsere eigenen Mahlzeiten zu kochen, was uns viel Flexibilität gab. Auch die Waschmaschine war eine nützliche Annehmlichkeit. Die Lage war ideal, nicht weit von der Altstadt entfernt, mit direkter Busverbindung ins Zentrum an der Hauptstraße, in der Nähe eines Theaters und einer Skybar. Die Verwaltung war sehr freundlich und reagierte immer schnell, egal ob per E-Mail oder telefonisch.

Spacious rooms, and good location. Cleanliness needs more attention.

The parking is very practical. The bed is comfortable and the room is spacious. The use of the kitchen is very useful if you intend to stay for a while. The use of the washer is also very appreciated. The staff is kind. The location is good -- a little outside the city center but given the availability of a parking lot, it makes sense.

Details need more attention; the kitchen utensils and other items were dirty with leftover food, which wasn't pleasant to see. Some lights weren't working, or flickering, and there were paint splatters on the wall. While the staff is kind, the organization needs improvement – I wanted to extend my stay by a day and there was a lot of back-and-forth.

I’m disappointed for that price, get the poor quality flat

It was really cold . No extra blankets no heaters , flat have a weird smell, washing machine Have a really bad smell. no extra toilet paper , or towel i’m really disappointed.

Spoko miejsce do spędzenia weekendu w Rydze

Lokalizacja była korzystna, przy głównej ulicy i blisko do centrum. Bardzo blisko do różnych lokali gastronomicznych, sklepów, komunikacji miejskiej. Duży plus za darmowy parking na oddzielnym placu (na noc zamykany na szlaban)

Wygląd klatki schodowej w kamienicy oraz zapach wilgoci były trochę odstraszające. Pokój był dość czysty, ale były miejsca mocno zakurzone. Pewien problem stanowiły zacinające się drzwi z klatki schodowej do korytarza.

Sober, typical (?) Baltic appartement

Just outside the (old) city center which is easily to be reached with fun electric steps. Apartment was sober but clean and with all basic necessities. Sleeping couch was big and sort of comfortabel but is not the right choice if hygiëne is a must for you.

We were not prepared for the sober style of this appartement complex. Entrance is kind of creepy with shattering hall lamps and (non-working) elevator which brings back memories of old horror movies.

Parking worker and cleaning staff was very friendly. It is easy to go to a center of the city from an apartment.

I did not like mold in a shower. You can clearly hear your neighbors next door (soundproof from a corridor is very bad).

+ location is convenient, it's easy to get to the Old town (we were traveling by car) + free secured parking on the other side of the street + easy self check-in option, clear instructions from the host + nicely designed bathroom, great shower + really comfy bed + wide windowsill with a power socket, so you can romantically sit with your laptop and look outside :)

- very loud traffic outside, it was impossible to open a window at night, and it was VERY hot night - the place is small, and the bed is in the same room as kitchen and sitting area - very squeaky floors (difficult not to wake anybody up when going to pee at night) - weak WiFi - no food supplies in the kitchen (like salt, sugar, olive oil), we didn't cook anyway, but if you plan to, you have to bring essentials yourself

+ Apartment itself was clean, good shape and overall good quality. + Customer service was top quality and replied quickly to your messages/calls and in a good English. + Parking pace was guarded 24/7 +/- It's a longish but easy to walk into the old town

- apartment didn't have AC and it's close to big road which is busy all night so you can't keep window open and even if it's closed it won't be enough to kill the traffic noise - even thought apartment was in good shape there were some small things that could be easy to fix just an example that when you are using shower cold and warm water is connected opposite ways, so when you are turning it warmer it actually goes to cold and shower needs some kind of rug because floor is quite slippery when walking out of bath (it's a big step) - apartment is just on the edge to be in wrong neighbourhood when you are on family vacation

Worth to stay flat with great location and clean, new furniture

Great location, parking was a plus, clean room and new furniture! Washing machine was an excellent addition.

The second bed was hard, small for two. It was advertised for 4 persons to stay, but the second bed was not suited for 2 persons to sleep comfortably. The flat was paid to have 4 persons to sleep. The curtains do not keep light and woke everyone up very early.

For two ok, four not possible

Secured parkingplace was good but not easy to find, same as the entrance, but good explaination. The apartment is good placed in an old house and modern furnished.

The located area is one of the main streets through Riga and its a little dubious area. We were travelling as a family, two tall adults and two tall childreen, 14 and 16, and the sofa for sleeping was 110 cm narrow and 180 cm long for two childreen!!!! I called the contact number but they said I have to pull out the sofa and no more help....... So I was sleeping on the floor.....

Disappointing

We booked a room with a separate room because we were travelling with a baby so we could let her sleep while me and my wife could still enjoy our night together in the apartment. When we arrived we noticed that the room wasn’t the one we booked but had to take it because off our situation that it’s not easy to travel with a small child. We had to move our previous apartment since there was a leak and we needed to search quickly for something else, we were in chaos. We said to the owner that we thought it would be with separate rooms, he said that this was the only one that was available. When we checked our booking to see if we didn’t made mistake by the booking we’ve noticed that we truly booked a apartment with separate bedroom. For us it was crucial as our baby was already out of her ritme and in stress cause of all the moving. iI was hard to put her to sleep in the same room as us. When we contacted the owner to discuss this, he told this to maybe get some compensation because we didn’t got what we’ve ordered we got the comment that Latvia is a developing country and that we already received 9€ discount. This wasn’t worth the discount and at least some understanding would have been appreciated. Instead we’ve got the comment that or we could be small and complain or be big and accept it. We understand that it was busy and everything was booked, but then don’t sell us something we didn’t order and overpriced it. We went to see an Audi and got a Renault.

Would have been nice to have more shower gel and shampoo in the apartment. The room had a very small packet to take a shower.

Stylish, clean. Staff is nice and polite.

Property does not have their own parking indeed. I was told by the host to park some other building parking. Next morning, my car was blocked by the angry owner of that parking who told me I have no right to park there. Very unpleasant experience.

Very disappointing and expensive for what it is

The bathroom is modern and handy

The appartment was far from the center and not « design » (basic Ikea fourniture with absolutely no style, the curtains weren’t even long enough to cover the whole window. The lift does not work anymore for ages. Then It was not very clean (uses shampoo sample still in the bathtube), the sheets were stinky, some food remains still stuck on the kitchen walls. Overall, it was VERY noisy as it is a first floor on the Biribas Iela which is a big avenue with cars and motos driving fast all night and a family leaving next door with a baby crying. For the same price you can find a good hotel in the center. Very disappointing, I don’t recommend.

We liked the location and quiet room as it was heading opposite the main street. Good sleep in the clean room.

We were not able to use free parking as the narrow way backward to the building was blocked by big trash containers and our car didn't fit in :-(

Not your best choice but close to centre.

Big choice of available apartments in the same range. Location close to Riga centre.

Noise from the street. Lack of attractions in the area. Very difficult to access the parking when driving from the centre. The room was rather small, better suited for two people but not three.

Very good

Location in a good distance from the old town but on a very noisy street (even at night). We had to close the windows but then it got hot in the room. The fan was missing. The kitchen could have a little more equipment, for example a cutting board. The apartment itself is clean and very nice. Parking is free across the street which is hard to turn around.

Vicinity to the city center and good communication

We had booking in apartment number: 1- 10 floor 5th apartment no.3. The lift was not working during our stay. So, we had to take stairs. This was a genuine issue during night when you don’t have well lit staircases. In the room the kitchenettes were poorly cleaned. Even the water kettle had sludge deposited for ages. In the bathroom , the hand shower flow was very very low.

Room was not we booked. There was ment to be living Room and bedroom 35m’2. It was something like 20m2. Huge disappointment for the kids who already checked the images for the Room we booked 😥 Lot’s of differenties for the images and demands 😠
