About this house rental

Location Location Location! This super clean home sits at the very end of a dead-end street, right on the water, on a corner lot with intersecting canals and very close to the main river (enter river at Hospital Hole). Paddle to Upper Deck restaurant (enjoy lunch there or a drink) it’s right across from Rogers Park. Travel up towards the head springs or towards the Gulf. Both treks are beautiful and interesting. The water reflections seen from the house are awesome and serene-true old Florida at its finest-see the water reflections in the attached photos. New listing on VRBO but a super host on other booking site for this location since 2014. If you like relaxing, serene waterfront views - This is the place! Manatees swim right up to our docks-see attached photos. The house comes with 4 kayaks and a canoe for your river adventures with easy access docks. Amenities include: firepit, propane BBQ grill, two screened in porches (both have a table & chairs) to enjoy the water views, and lots of wildlife (exotic birds, owls hooting at night, mullet jumping, manatees, even dolphins swim up our canal). Book it-you won't be disappointed. My past guests have said it’s magical to stay here. This is a mobile home with two additions and two screened in porches. It sleeps 7 comfortably in beds and has two full bathrooms. Includes all linens, bath towels, and beach towels-always clean and fresh. The master "Mermaid" bedroom has a full private bathroom, a queen bed and TV. The "Cottage" bedroom is just past the main hall full bathroom and has a double bed and a single bed with TV. The dining room can also serve as a bedroom and includes room darkening curtains to block off the living room and the kitchen. It is located outside the master bedroom and has a small table & chairs, and a daybed with additional trundle bed if needed. The living room has access doors to both porches, a TV, a sofa with 2 built in recliners - an extra guest could sleep on couch if need be. It has 4 comfortable chairs as well-two are recliners. The kitchen has a very long island counter with lots of cupboards and is fully stocked with lots of dishes/pots-n-pans, etcetera and has bar stools for in-kitchen dining. It has lots of appliances including a dishwasher, full stove/oven, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster, blender etc., everything you might need. The Laundry Room (washer/dryer) and storage area are where lots of games are and extra river towels, pet sheets, extra chairs, beach chairs, and more are located. KAYAKS & CANOE-guests are welcome to use the 4 single kayaks and the large aluminum canoe. Please be aware that using any items included or swimming in the water is at your own discretion, risk and liability. Life jackets are provided and must be on board when in kayaks or canoe. Please hang the life jackets back up after use. Canal-River Access/point of interest-the canal that runs along the side of the house is the main canal to access the Weeki Wachee River. It's always interesting and fun to say "hello" to kayakers and boaters as they pass by. I usually ask them if they saw any manatees. There is always lots to see on the river. Once you reach the river, to the right is a bay inlet known as Hospital Hole. If you travel to the right on the river, you will reach Rogers Park and the Upper Deck Restaurant, and the Kayak Shack-if you need more kayaks, they have rentals. You can tie up your boat at Upper Deck and go in and have lunch or dinner or just a drink. If you go under the bridge, the river has lots of homes to see and will eventually lead to the Gulf of Mexico. If you travel to the left once you reach the river, you will be heading towards the Head Springs located at Weeki Wachee State Park. You can call the State Park in advance and arrange to kayak down from the State Park to get the full experience of the River. Arts and Crafts - there are stepping stones around the property that guests are invited to paint. Paints and brushes are provided. Guests are required to supervise their children during this activity and to use drop clothes provided, clean brushes after use and put lids back on paints and put all items back in craft cabinets on front porch after use. NO SMOKING INSIDE THE HOME-smoking is permitted in the yard or on either of the porches provided the doors to the home are kept closed. Keeping doors to home closed also allows for maximum air conditioning and keeps smoke out. Do not throw cigarette butts or trash of any kind on grounds. PETS-Only Dogs are permitted. Pet dogs are welcome with a $85 pet fee for 1 dog. Ask me in advance if you have more than 1 dog. Guest Access - The entire home is available for guests use. This property and location was everything we needed and more! It is such a cute and tranquil home on a quiet relaxing piece of land. There was so much to do and see, we couldn't fit it all in. We definitely plan on visiting again. Having access to the river and kayaks and a canoe was perfect for us. We were able to row on the river and just unwind and saw Manatees on our first day. The host included river maps with sites to see and local restaurants and menus. Our only regret is we couldn't spend more time there. The host was very accommodating and was quick to respond if we had any questions or needs.

Looks just like pics and was actually better than we expected - 6 adults & all slept in real beds with clean bedding. Place was super clean n spacious. Kitchen was well stocked with everything needed and then some. Extra pillows, blankets, towels. TV’s in the bedrooms. The screened-in porches were great for sitting out next to the river. Heard the fish jumping & the owls hooting at nite. Played cards and ate meals and had morning coffee & drinks out there. We painted a stepping stone to commemorate our stay. Great seeing all the stepping stones others had painted. It was a lot of fun. The river is like 10 minutes paddling in the provided canoe and kayaks. We entered the river at Hospital Hole-it is a popular known spot for the manatees to gather at. It was full of manatees and other kayaks - many people were in the water swimming with the manatees. An experience of a lifetime. Unexpected for us Northerners who have never seen the gentle giants up close and personal. We paddled another 20 minutes and docked our boats at the Upper Deck Restaurant and went in for lunch. It was great. Wished we had more time. Lots of places to explore in this area. We will definitely be back again. Susan was great to work with. Self check in was easy.
