THE SPACE Discover the charm of That Cowes House, a delightful single-story abode situated a stone's throw away from the pristine beaches of Cowes on Phillip Island. Designed to echo the tranquil ambience of the island, this home is the epitome of comfort and convenience. As you enter, be greeted by the signature long hallway leading you to the heart of the house. With five elegantly designed bedrooms, the home comfortably accommodates up to ten guests, making it perfect for families and larger groups. Every room evokes a sense of warmth and coziness, ensuring a restful night's sleep before a day of island adventures. The two full bathrooms are spacious and equipped with all the essentials, offering guests the convenience and ease of feeling at home. The kitchen is a dream for those who love cooking and entertaining. It boasts a walk-in pantry (WIP), ensuring ample space for all your culinary needs. Modern appliances provide enjoyable and effortless meal preparations, including a microwave, oven, fridge, and stove. Adjacent to the kitchen, the dining area is the perfect spot for intimate dinners or morning brunches. One of the house's crown jewels is the expansive backyard, a haven for adults and children. Please note that the back fence is wire and may let small dogs through. Whether you're keen on reading a book or simply relishing the outdoors, the backyard offers an idyllic setting. The outdoor table is ideal for alfresco dining or evening BBQs. There is a garage available that can park two cars. There is also a side of the house where 3x vehicles can be parked. Please note that the driveway is steep. Four cameras are located outside the home. They are in the front yard, on the sides of the home, and in the backyard. The house is in a residential street with surrounding permanent tenants, so we only rent to mature guests who will remain respectful to our neighbours. The house will be used for relaxation-style holidaying; loud parties are prohibited. Bedroom 1 – 1x King size bed with WIR and ensuite Bedroom 2 – 1x King single bunk bed Bedroom 3 – 1x Queen size bed Bedroom 4 – 1x Queen size bed Bedroom 5 – 1x Queen size bed Full bed linen provided. Bath and beach towels are also provided. Lost or damaged linen/towels may incur costs. We ask all guests to please clean the BBQ after use, or a $50 fee will be charged. NEIGHBOUR HOOD DESCRIPTION The neighbourhood is safe and family-friendly. The guest guidebook at the home offers recommendations on what to do in the area, including dining options and local attraction suggestions. If you would like a copy prior to your stay, please let us know and send us your email address. If you need any advice, we are happy to assist. GETTING AROUND Parking is available for your stay. We can provide parking information if necessary. Please ask us any questions. ADDITIONAL RULES Strictly no schoolies, parties or events. Mature guests only. The property is patrolled by security. If neighbours complain or the police are called, this could affect your bond, and we reserve the right to evict guests. Bookings can only be confirmed once the verification process has been completed. Please read and accept our terms and conditions. Council Short Stay Accommodation Code of Conduct rules apply. Pets are welcome, but you must clean them up after your stay. INTERACTION WITH GUESTS Access details will be available for you to enter directly at the home. Unfortunately, we do not get a chance to meet, but this provides a simple and convenient way for you to enter and depart the home easily. Location, cleanliness, layout, linen and appliances were all high quality and perfect for our group of 7 (4 adults and 3 older teens). The build quality of the house was a little disappointing. examples include walls being thin with little sound proofing, door to twin share room jamming, a leak under kitchen sink which had been addressed by leaving a sponge under it rather than fixing it, handle on concertina door falling off on first use, front screen door hanging off from top hinge. Collectively giving the impression of a house that was cheaply built and poorly maintained. The green waste bin had some kind of decomposing brown organic slop in it together with a colony of very large maggots / it was a smell none of us will ever forget. If the house were better maintained it would have been a perfect stay.

So this year my partner and I, and two teens decided to spend Xmas day at the island. We set off from the yarra valley after lunch and checked in to what I would consider the nicest home we have ever hired. From its interior layout which was just amazing to its modern feel and cleanliness we were just over the moon. 5 bedrooms with the most comfy beds made for great night sleeps. Two spacious living areas worked perfectly for the teens to have there escape. When it come time to begin cooking Xmas dinner, we were delighted to see that everything a kitchen could possibly have it in was there. We will definitely plan another trip saying at this property as it just ticked every box possible! Regards Mark & Lisa
