About this house rental

Situated in Christchurch, this lovely house for $227 per night is a great choice for your next break. Relax and unwind in style while you enjoy views of unspoilt natural beauty. So close to Christchurch but feeling a world away from city life, Cass Bay is the perfect spot for a beachside holiday. Stay in your own modern (built just 5-years ago), spacious and upmarket 3 bedroom home and feel the stress melt away as you relax in comfort. With breathtaking views of the hills and sea, Mariners Lookout is just a few minutes' walk to a lovely, sheltered swimming beach at Cass Bay. Mariners Lookout is a modern, open-plan house, ideal for relaxed beach living. Tile and wood floors throughout make for an easy-care, family-friendly space where you can relax and enjoy the expansive views. A powerful heatpump provides fast and effective heat throughout the house in winter and provides powerful air conditioned cooling in summer. With two spacious, clean and bright bathrooms you'll enjoy soaking your worries away in the bathtub or experiencing the perfect pressure (and endless gas-powered hot water) of the two fantastic showers - one with luxurious rain head. Each bedroom features a comfortable new bed made right here in Christchurch, plus wardrobe storage space and panel heaters for cooler nights. The open-plan living area provides plenty of space for families or groups to gather for meals or to watch the 50" Smart TV with soundbar and subwoofer. Outside, there's more space to socialise or just chill out with comfortable outdoor seating and an Oklahoma Joe charcoal barbecue. Please note indoor fireplace is not active and is for decorative purposes only. The modern, fully-equipped kitchen is a pleasure to use with wide stone benchtops and plenty of storage space. Complete with oven, microwave and gas cooktop, sandwich press, 4-slice toaster, electric jug and blender as well as cooking utensils, pots, pans and oven trays. Everything you need to feel at home! With breathtaking views of the hills, the sea and the small township of Cass Bay, there's always something new to catch your eye. The house is in a beautiful spot, perched on a hillside above the bay and just a few minutes' walk to the beach. Conveniently located for walking tracks around the bays, you can drive to Lyttelton in just 5 minutes or take the scenic route with a 40 minute walk via the stunning Coastal Path trail. Guest accommodation is the entire house with no shared spaces and no other dwellings on the property. Parking is on a parking deck at street level, with access down a short flight of stairs from there to the house itself. There is space for 2 vehicles on the parking deck, with safe street parking available for additional cars if required. The beach is a easy walk down the hill - there's a shortcut between numbers 1 and 3 Mariners Cove that will get you to the beach in less than 5 minutes. While there are some buses on the peninsula, we recommend bringing your own vehicle to really explore the area and make the most of your stay. Carebnb provide a contactless check-in process. Prior to your arrival we will send detailed instructions on how to enter the property, including lockbox code and wifi passwords. We are local and available to assist with any issues that may arise. Carebnb is committed to making your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Upon check-out, you can leave the property on your own. Upper floors are accessible via stairs only. Upon arrival, please park on our off-street parking deck. There's room here for two vehicles - if you have additional cars, please park in the street further up Mariners Cove (before the Private Driveway sign). The house is powered by bottled gas so if the gas runs out you will need to switch from the empty bottle to the full. This is easy: just move the lever from the empty bottle to the full bottle. Gas bottles are located outside on the car deck. If you do change the gas during your stay, please inform the hosts immediately so we can order more gas. Unfortunately, due to host allergies we are unable to accommodate any pets (including assistance animals). Cass Bay is a small beachside community with no shops or restaurants. We recommend guests stop in Christchurch for supplies on the way out to the property. Lyttelton is an easy 5-minute drive away and has a small supermarket for essentials like bread or milk. It's also a great spot to visit on Saturday mornings for the markets or any time to check out the cafes, restaurants and bars. Shortcut to the beach & playground! To get to the beach, take the shortcut between houses 1 & 3 on Mariners Cove. Follow the narrow path down to the end then turn right onto the next path beside the big palm tree. This leads down to the main beach road!
