And even though your fabulous vacation rental has its own private beach right on the shoreline, you may want to venture out to either South Haven’s popular North Beach or South Beach destinations, famous for their long stretches of crystal white sand and glorious views of Lake Michigan. If it’s hiking or biking trails you’re looking for, there are over 40 established trails covering 500-plus miles in the area, through rich forests and wetlands. By the way, the region is also renowned for being a birdwatcher’s paradise.
