Take a cruise down Sandpiper Road and you'll find Back Bay Wildlife Refuge with its wildlife tours, hiking/ biking trails, and kayak launch. You can also take the tram and tour First Landing State Park. The Sandbridge fishing pier is also at the south end of Sandpiper, near Little Island Park, featuring covered picnic areas, a big playground, and the historic Sandbridge Coast Guard Station.
