The Space Experience a century of Oregon heritage at this lovingly refurbished and updated family- friendly vacation lodge in Welches. Whether you’re enjoying the outdoors skiing and hiking or cozying up to the fireplace while listening to the Salmon River, Cedar Camp’s large flexible spaces await your vacation dreams. It’s the perfect setting for family gatherings, couple getaways or adventures with friends. Combining new infrastructure and amenities with the lodge’s historic integrity, Cedar Camp will give you an experience of what Oregon was like in the 1930s. Built in 1931, the lodge was restored in 2021 after it was reacquired by the family of the original owners. The lodge’s extraordinary restoration has been featured in local media. Set on 2.5 acres of intact old-growth forest with a creek, you can hear the Salmon River as you sit on the swing porch, deck or explore our old-growth forest. Walking routes across the Salmon River Bridge and through the village are right out your door. Extensive hiking trails, the ski bus to Timberline Lodge and other ski areas, the Three Nines Golf Course, the Sandy Ridge mountain bike trail as well as shopping, dining and spa are less than 10 minutes away from Cedar Camp. It's a spot for year-round adventures or old-fashioned relaxation. We welcome families and there are toys, games and our outdoor space for kids to explore. You have full access to the entire property, inside the lodge and on our 2.5 acres of undisturbed old- growth forest. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us with any questions you may have. The Mt. Hood Express ski bus is less than ten minutes away in the village and takes you right to Ski Bowl West, Government Camp and Timberline. No need to find parking, just head for the slope. Mount Hood Resort was Oregon's first golf resort and has evolved into a renowned golf resort with The Three Nines courses, a spa, pool and dining options that are world class. According to the International Mountain Biking Association, "The Sandy Ridge Trail System in Oregon is one of the most innovative mountain bike trail systems on public land." It contains 17 miles of biking trails averaging 6% grade”. It's 7 miles from Cedar Camp". The area has many hiking trails, from the Wildwood Recreation Site (3 Miles away) with easy interpretive trails and a salmon viewing window to the challenging and spectacular Ramona Falls Trail. This property includes a noise alert monitoring system in order to ensure that neighborhood noise levels are respected. Again, please realize we want every group to enjoy their time, laugh, have fun and make memories. These devices are only to ensure noise levels don't reach a threshold that bothers our neighbors. Also, please note there is no electronic video surveillance monitoring the interior of the house. Cancellation Policy: The owner of this home has offered the following generous cancellation policy outside the normal website policy. You may cancel and receive a FULL REFUND up to 7 days out with the exception of Holiday weekends which would still remain at 30 days out for a FULL REFUND. PET FRIENDLY: **There is a $100 pet fee per pet with a maximum of $200 (2 pets). Although we are pet-friendly please note your pet must not be left unattended at the house without you present, even if in a crate/kennel.
