Nestled in Brevard, this lovely house for $351 per night is a great choice for your next break. Welcome to 500 Probart Street, an architectually unique 3-bedroom residence with a 124-year-old facade fronting a 10-year-old contemporary addition, all under one roof. Located almost exactly halfway between downtown Brevard and the bike-and-hike paradise of Bracken Preserve (with back door access into Pisgah National Forest) this spaceious, comfortable, open-floor-plan home is an easy 10-minute walk from Downtown Brevard, 3-minute jaunt from the Lumberyard Arts & Entertainment District, and an easy 5-minute bike ride to the Bracken Preserve Trailhead. Want to get to the Brevard Music Center? It's an easy 15 minute walk from the front stoop. Whether you are here to shop, listen to music, eat, hike, ride or relax, this home is here for it all. The only choice you have to make is whether to turn left out the front door to live bluegrass music at185 King Street or whether to turn right to hear classical sympony performances during the summer season on the idyllic campus of the Brevard Music Center. This 2,500-square-foot home, features three bedrooms, each with one queen bed laid out over two floors. In addition, there is a small twin bed (not standard lenght) that sleeps a child or short-statured adult in the third bedroom upstairs. There is one main bathroom suite with a shower as well as a half-bathroom on the main floor. On the second floor, two bed rooms share a full bathroom with a shower/tub. The coolest, most refreshing ammenity however, is the outside shower off of the main level bedroom that is one of its owners' favorite features and is surely to become yours. Picture showering off in the sun after a long hike or ride or ending your day washing up under the stars after an evening of bluegrass music. A small bike-wash station is just steps from the outdoor shower and ready to wash the mud and fun off all bikes and outdoor equipment. 500 Probart Street sits elevated off the street and offers in-town views, both from its generously appointed outdoor porch that comes with a gas grill and a two-person dining area, as well as from its balcony, looking toward iconic downtown Brevard. A small 2-person coffee porch area on the east-facing side of the wrap-around porch, completes the outside living ammenities. This owner-occupied home, is tastefully decorated with a mix of modern furniture and family heirlooms, as well as a few beloved art pieces and travel souveniers. We like our home to be simple and spartan, always drawing the eyes to the outdoors. Speaking of the outdoors, we use European style bedding (down comforters with duvet covers and no top sheets) and most of our windows do not have blinds or curtains, because we we like to rise and rest with the sunrise and sunset. If you are a night owl or light sensitive, be sure to pack an eye mask and think about a naptime tent for younger visitors. We are excited to share our forever-home with you, while we are away and hope you find it as lovely, comfortable and stylish as we do.
