The property is well designed and well equipped. The style is modern. The parquet floors are attractive.

The horror story is that the place did not have any toilet paper. Housekeeping forgot. The area is dimly lit. There is rubbish on the streets. I guess this is the case in many parts of the city. The building, from 1957, is a huge affair (see picture) divided into multiple apartments. The lift only holds two persons per trip and there is only one lift. The third floor is quite some way up (see pic). The paperwork took some time as the person who was dealing with me kept getting calls from the office - and I was checking in after 8pm. She got me to sign something on an iPad without tell me what it was. She emailed it immediately and it was a whole bunch of penalties in case I damaged anything. She also took my credit card details scribbled on a piece of paper. All in all, it seemed unprofessional.

The bed was really hard so we ended up having to sleep on the sofa bed.

on the third flour with an old lift that barely fits two people. looks much more spacious on the pictures than it is.

Well distributed spaces

The TV only had Italian channels and no option for streaming services.

The apartment (loft) is cozy and modern. At first, we were slightly surprised how small it is, but gradually we have grown accustomed to it and actually felt in love with it :) You will have everything you need and for a couple it's just okay. The city center is just 10 min away, parking spots are available near the building.

The location is a bit far from the beach, but that's just how Catania is. I recommend using Moovit app to find near bus stops and connection lines (you will always have to use two lines to get to the beach).

The host was really friendly

It is very clean and on a nice location, not too far from town. Very comfortable and very specious.

Parking is a bit of a problem but there is parking garage nearby.

Noisy street during the weekend and the only bathroom available in the apartment was upstairs with direct access from the bedroom.

Good location- 20 minutes walking to the Main square, the same time needed to the Central train and bus station, 7 minutes walking to Via Santa Filomena (street with nice bars and restaurants) and 10 to Via Etnea- Giardino Bellini. The host, Sabrina, was very nice and gave us a lot of useful information about the city landmarks, optional tours that they organize and good food places. The apartment was clean and very nicely furnished.

Balcony with two air condition units and no space to put out a chair to have a morning coffee outside (this is the case for apartment no.12).

We were sent very friendly WhatsApp messages prior to our arrival so we felt welcome even before we arrived. We were met and checked into our apartment by Sabina who was absolutely lovely and made lots of recommendations for non-touristy things to do in Catania even recommending favourite bars and restaurants. The apartment is gorgeous, light, nicely styled, beautifully maintained and the bed was super comfortable. We don't watch TV when we are away but we appreciated the English-speaking Sky channels for news updates. The company responsible for the rental manage over 50 properties but we still felt that our visit was appreciated and valued. The management team were accessible via WhatsApp during office hours and didn't hesitate to answer our questions. They even printed out a document for me for no charge. I would recommend any property managed by them and they will be my first port of call for all future visits to this fabulous city.
