I loved the location of the hotel, It was very close to NYU. The staff were so nice and everything was perfect. Free tea from the restaurant in the evening was so nice. Two single beds ans they were very comfortable. Even though I booked for one, they didn’t mind my daughter staying with me.
The only thing I didn’t like was the noise of the air conditioning outside the room but I got used to it. Obviously no view but I didn’t expect it for the price.

This was our second stay at Washing Square Hotel and we love the location.
Everything was fine.

the location is nice.
1. My room (room 208) in the corner might have a rooftop next to it or something so when it rained, the noise of rain dropping on plastic surface was so loud that I couldn’t sleep.
2. when I tried to call the front desk, I found that the hotel phone in the room does not even have a cable connected to landline. I had to use my cellphone to find the hotel number online and call the front desk.
3. the front desk guy could not change a room for me at midnight so he offered the solution to give me ear plugs. I don’t wear earplugs to sleep because they hurt my ears but I had no choice and had to wear them to sleep otherwise I wouldn’t be able to sleep at all.
4. when I told this to the front desk next morning, the lady told me raining is out of their control. I get that but I told them you could have done something to make the rain drop sound less loud or something. I know nobody can control rain or not.

Clean room, bigger than expected. Good amenities - bath products, hairdryer, tea maker. Warm welcome.
The restaurant closed early but not too much of an issue as so many restaurants close by.

Bed vey comfortable bathroom clean and good amenities
Excellent location.
Jazz brunch excellent.
We booked a superior room . Unfortunately it was on the 1st floor and looked out onto a small back yard with a ladder against a brick wall and generally a dirty appearance. The room was quite stuffy and hot but if you opened the window you could smell gas . No sky visible unless you craned your neck against the window sill. The room was very noisy with lots of waterworks audible throughout the night and very hard to get any sleep. We asked to move as we did not think this is what we should expect from a superior room but we were told that is what a superior room was like and there were no other rooms available.
Goodness know what you get for a non superior room for your money!
Bar was not open very often, tried to get a brandy at 9pm but no go!

First of all the location of the hotel is fantastic. It’s right next to W4th street station which easily gets you up and down Manhattan with lots of options. there is also and exit to the train at Waverly Pl just one block from the hotel so that’s perfect. It’s also close to the Christopher St station with even more options.
Second, the staff is so friendly, accommodating and lovely, especially the doorman!
The bed was very comfortable and the shower was good.
There wasn’t anything we didn’t like as such but there are some improvements that could be made. The quality of the shampoo/conditioner could be better, the general decor of the hotel and the rooms feels a bit outdated so it could use a renovation.

Beautiful aesthetic and room was functional and comfortable. Perfect location, good view. Would come back for sure.
A little overpriced for off season, no fridge in room. No outlet on one side of the room/beds. Everything else was good.
