Loved the view did not like room at all!! will not be back.

The view

The room was dirty beds were not comfortable. Room had an odor. Nothing in the kitchen to cook with not enough towels. window were nasty.

Bummed at the beach

That was right on the beach and it was a good area for food and not grocery store things like that

I have asked for a I first floor but they gave me on the second floor how to grow up and down a step that was not clean at all there was a cigarette butt on the floor which I had to ask for non-smoking the stuff wasn't white down the table was dirty it was left over food and refrigerator but the one maintenance guy has what is a very very nice he helped me carry my stuff upstairs said he couldn't believe it they didn't give me a first floor but I just had knee surgery 7 weeks ago and it was very hard for them steps and my TV broke had called the office and the girls I was very upset at that point and with him a couple hours I had a new TV when they inscribe put it in for me other than the girl in the office everybody else is very nice very disappointed because the pictures on booking.com are nothing like we're alone we stayed in they're not with anything like it the kitchen is very old the cabinet doors were just hanging there the paint was chipped all of the cabinets and microwave was old and dirty I would never use any dishes in there I brought my own paper plates and plastic wear but we made it forever and we'll never go back there for the amount of money that I paid should have been at least a first floor and non-smoking not showing the picture cuz I only have bad ones of how dirty it was and how the cabinets were so bad in the kitchen

Small Hotel w great service but still falls short.

The service was excellent. The Office Rep went to extreme to try to help us with changes we requested. The entire staff that we delt with were excellent. I would love to give them a 5 star rating but the hotel was not clean. I would love to show them how to clean some of the areas that was very disappointing.

The hotel is an old hotel but you can tell that the staff are trying very hard to give excellent service. The old part does not bother my husband and I but the cleanliness really bothers me. I cleaned the bathroom and other area's myself. If they could get this hotel cleaned up and repair minor issue's they would be Perfect.

Superb

Location was excellent . Staff was nice.

Hotel is dated and in need of repairs. Beds are very uncomfortable. Showers had no shelves anywhere to put shampoo n toiletries etc. Pool was cloudy n dirty.

Rundown beachfront vacation

The proximity to many stores, restaurants, and the beach was gorgeous. Directly next to the lifeguard training/rescue which was nice

We had stayed in past years and had a better experience but now The rooms were run down, smelled terribly of cigarette smoke, pool was dirty

We asked and were told we had a ground floor room when we got there it was a 2nd floor room it was small and the beds were prison cotts I went to the front desk and had to upgrade to the penthouse which was nice but way too much for what we needed.We were traveling with our pets and drove 6 hours we didn't have a lot of options

I liked that the pool was nearby and on the beach.

The room was disgusting. The shower curtain had mold covering the bottom. When I pulled the linens, when our stay was over, the mattress cover under the sheets had hair all over it. I'm talking like someone brushed their hair, and all the damaged hair just fell all over this thing. The towel rack fell out of the wall when I was simply hanging a towel. There were holes in the walls. They also stuck me in a room which was handicap accessible. That wasn't fair to anyone who may have needed that room. There was no mirror or tub in the bathroom. There was no separation from floor to shower. It was all one floor. No water pressure either. Rincing my hair took way too long. Unnecessarily too long. The comforter had stains all over it. Bleach and ink blotches, and who knows what else. You'd think that 940 damn dollars would have gotten you at least a clean bed and a mold free room. The employees seemed like immature old women. It was ridiculous meeting the lady who was cleaning the room. Immediately raised her voice about miscommunication and that I needed to return in 20 minutes. Then, she went in and gave fire to the lady in the office. Nobody really had much of a personality or manners. The pool was well kept and absolutely better kept than the rooms. Super nice view of the beach.

The Driftwood was a nightmare. I couldn'tsleep because of cockroaches and I froze all night

the only thing one could like is the location being on the beach. The room was totally unacceptable with cock roaches, no blanket, bare floors that were sticky and dirty and cracks and holes between the plaster walls and the floor boards (the ones that were there). Totally false advertising. They told me when I checked out on May 2 morning that you are responsible for crediting my visa card back, not them....however, I still wait! Terrible customer service on both ends.

Not advertising it as the slum it is to avoid these problems and be honest with customer about what they are paying for. I liked NOTHING about this place.

Booked a room and didn’t sleep in it

The only thing this hotel has going for it is it’s view and location.

When we checked in there was no staff on duty our key was in an envelope in a mailbox and anyone could have taken our key. We went to the room and found cockroaches in the room. We immediately went back to our car to sleep. We booked two nights and didn’t sleep there. It was very run down and not maintained at all.

Location was amazing! Right on the beach and mini golf was across the street. Rooms have an incredible view of the ocean.
