Very friendly and hard working staff. We stayed in summer time, but for winter time location is excellent next to the slopes. Also very good breakfast options and a nice restaurant on site (only opened Wed-Sun)

We stayed in de family suites adjacent to the hotel. The rooms here can use some updating here and there. Kitchen is very minimal (fridge and microwave)

Lovely

It was very clean and had all the nice little amenities like shampoo soap lotion coffee maker fridge ice bucket cups. I had read some bad reviews about cockroaches right before I left for my trip and I’m very scared of them so I was checking everything when I got there and I didn’t see anything like that maybe they where disgruntled guest because everything was lovely and the staff was very friendly also a 24 hour fridge you can access with water and soda was a nice bonus. It’s a cute little rustic hotel but just the decorating is rustic they still give you all the comforts of a regular hotel ! I would stay there again!

Wished we had stayed somewhere else

The location was beautiful. Many area scenic places to visit

Next door to our cabin there were dogs that barked on and off all night. Grounds were not well maintained. Pool was supposed to be heated was far from it and we could smell a dead carcass in the area!!! Our internet was weak and then quit on us the only evening were there. I called the desk but never got a call back. I thought I would enjoy a coffee in the morning before we left but the coffee pot so dirty I decided not to. I will not go back there and would not recommend the place.

Quaint inn

Excellent location. Cute room.

Our room was directly over the kitchen outside doors. A lot of noise coming and going. Thankfully, they wrapped up before 11. Loved the location, bummed about the nightly noise. Breakfast was lame for $12.

We loved our visit, and would definitely stay here again!

Breakfast was very nice. Super convenient to Black Mountain where we skiied. Staff was super friendly and helpful, and made our stay very pleasant. No problems checking in, even though we arrived very late. Staff went above and beyond with several issues, none of which were the fault of Whitney's Inn.

We mis-timed dinner (took a nap) and had to get takeout, but that was our fault. Never figured out the baseboard heat, but the fireplace kept the place cozy. Discovered we don't like memory foam mattresses.

I never thought of this as a family resort but it’s actually perfect for families!

The Whitney Inn is so great! you can walk to breakfast, skiing and dinner. you never have to get in the car!

Went here for Christmas gift for my mom. It was close to several things. the staff were super welcoming and friendly.

location near Black Mt. ski resort; quiet and pretty; tavern & dining on premises so easy for meals.

Towels were brown in colour which I found a bit off putting. Makes it seem like they’re trying to hide stains

we would recommended it to others and if we travel again we would consider staying there.

the atmosphere surrounding and in the Inn were excellent. It was difficult to find with the directions we were given, but glad we found it.

The cost of the breakfast was not told before ordering.

Friendly staff. Quiet location.

It was in a nice quiet location. The staff were super helpful and friendly. I walked up the hill nearby just on sunset and the hill was lit up like it was on fire. I’m very happy with my stay.

The views were gorgeous, rooms were on the smaller side but perfect for us. The staff was very helpful and nice, and the pub attached has some of the best food (especially the steak tips!). The attached pond and pool were a nice added bonus.

Tucked away, this old converted farmhouse was a joy to visit and stay in. It had all the old-world feels with full modern comforts. We would stay again and highly recommend it.

Superb

Great area in the mts. Quiet, horse's, free fishing pond stocked with trout. We didnt enjoy the pub but there was also a restaurant as well. Old ski resort. Farm house feel. Amazing! Going again.
