We enjoyed the activities that were available. and the lobby was very nice. Our guide, Abby, for our trail ride and other activities, was super sweet.
There was either dried smeared blood or dried feces on the bathroom door and on the floor immediately in front of the toilet. The hotel rooms could definitely use some updating. The metal framed beds were ridiculously noisy. You couldn’t even turn over without waking someone in your room. While we enjoyed the activities offered, the price is steep and then they add 6.75% tax and a 20% gratuity to each activity which is a bit ridiculous. Would have liked additional activities that were offered to guests for free in the evening hours.

We spent 10 nights in Texas and the 2 nights at Wildcatter was the highlight. The accommodation is warm & welcoming and the staff were amazing. We arranged our activities in advance, we did the sun set ride with the camp fire & wine and snacks. It was really special and Clint & Abbie really looked after us, not forgetting Copper the dog. We did the jeep tour with Malissa which was exhilarating and she was also great. The hotel & activities were perfect, but what makes it special are the staff. Thanks to all of you for a great time.

We had a cabin for our stay, it was lovely & spacious with an amazing view from the porch & super clean.
The activities were great & well organized & the activity staff were amazing
The pool & spa were exceptional & the restaurant food was very nice indeed
The receptionist was less than friendly, very cold & matter a fact, not welcoming at all.
A few additional little extras in the room would have been appreciated, like glass wine glasses instead of paper cups, with a view to dye for & only paper cups to enjoy a wine in !!
The hair dryer had been broken & was taped back together & the room phone didn't work, so couldn't call reception

Had a fantastic stay here. Was booked in the hotel but upgraded to a cabin. Would definitely recommend you do this. Staff were amazing. Great Southern hospitality. We did roping, horse back riding and fed the longhorns. We absolutely loved it!
Room in hotel…had we not upgraded to a cabin not sure we would have had such an amazing time.

we loved that it was located out in the open spaces of Texas. The staff was amazing! They went out of their way to make our stay a wonderful experience. The activities available were a lot of fun! The room was very clean and inviting.

Beautiful place, very clean and comfortable.
Facilities great
Food in the restaurant was lovely
Breakfast is a little disappointing. It’s not included with your pricey room ($12 plus tax) and is self serve on paper plates and plastic cutlery which are really hard to use.
Also between breakfast and the restaurant opening at 6, there’s nowhere for lunch
Bar doesn’t open til 5
Information was a bit lacking - the activities area is a drive away not a walk as we thought!

The property is just what I hoped for wide-open an animal friendly. The staff was very accommodating and knowledgeable. I raised horses for decades and they have a good herd that could be matched to anyone’s riding ability. The cabins are the best! The attention to the decor and the comfort is impressive. I would recommend this to anybody who wants a ranch experience.
I would’ve liked a more substantial breakfast offering. And it would be nice to offer evening activities like a bonfire and music around the fire. They do have music outside of the restaurant but it didn’t have that country /family feeling.

Booked a 3 day weekend @ this location based upon previous reviews. Unfortunately, lack of Staffing has clearly taken its toll. This place does not deserve the high reviews that I booked it based upon.
There was no housekeeping service available for two of the mornings that we were there. Clearly there is a very huge lack of staff. The breakfast and the staff that was there were very good. But don't bother making reservations for the steakhouse because you will still wait an hour and when you do get seated it will be to be shoved in a corner.

This resort is located a bit out of town. I only stayed here because everything in Graham was sold out. However, the place was beautiful and had a great restaurant. Staff was excellent, room was very large and clean. Probably a good place to stay for a few days for a vacation.

Rural location
Booked activities but unbeknown to us the receptionist booked us in on the wrong day which resulted in us spending the morning in our room. We checked out a day early.
The food in the restaurant was probably the worst we’ve had in the 2 1/2 weeks we have been travelling through the states, Mc Donald’s was better.
All in all not a good experience. Very disappointed.

Loved everything about this amazing property. Group of Aussies visiting Texas for the first time we wanted a proper Texan experience and that’s exactly what we got. The ranch and cabins were breathtaking along with the ability to do activities such as horse riding and feeding the long horns. The facilities in the downtime were great too we used the pool and basketball court and made certain use of our porch sinking a few beers overlooking the ranch
ranch was perfect except would’ve loved a lunch option but didn’t mind driving into Graham town 20 mins or less away

For $275.00 per night I would expect a complimentary breakfast, not a $12.00 breakfast buffet. I don't care for buffet style and I was very disappointed. We opted to drive into town for a more promising breakfast. Our room was never cleaned the four days we stayed there but after inquiring about lack of room services one of the cleaning staff brought us fresh towels. The hotel is 22 years old and it shows in the worn carpets, hazardous, dilapidated outdoor furnishings. After a $228.00 horseback ride for two, we tipped the trail boss 20% only to find at checkout that the hotel had already charged us 20% gratuity without telling us. Dinner at the steakhouse was a bit rich for our liking with $70 daily special although the steak was excellently cooked. The location was top notch with no complaints. The whole setup is playing off its glory days of long ago Lonesome Dove notoriety. Sadly, we will not return. It should have been a grand adventure.
Basically, everything.

ranch style, the staff were amazing especially the young blonde lad who served us in the restaurant he was very professional , helpful and kind
nothing ,

nice area. Perfect for the Wildcatter Ultra Trail Run
No late check out :( 11am was too early and they wouldn’t make any expectations for what I was staying there for - the trail race. I finished the race at 12:06 needed to shower and get out, obviously could not do that by 11am when I was out running on the trail, the only reason I stayed here anyway.

Cotton bedding and the bed was comfy!
The food at the restaurant was way to salty. I couldn’t even eat the ribs and spouse couldn’t eat the chicken.

The horse back ride was a good experience and the ranch staff were very helpful. We also took the private ranch tour on a jeep and Jonathan took us around and showed us some very good spots for photography. Austin helped us with knowledge and guidance for the clay shooting. It was a great experience.
The room had cobwebs in it. The carpets are really old , dilapidated and needs changing immediately. Breakfast did not have any vegetarian options. The room had coffee maker and coffee however no filters to make the coffee. I did manage to get the filters however the coffee maker needed some real cleaning ( it was dirty from previous use). They should have also kept tea as an option and hot chocolates possibly for kids.

Location great
Quicker service at the bar

The location was breathtaking and we enjoyed the property. Staff was all friendly. We didn't eat the breakfast as it didn't seem like it was very appealing, especially for the price. The room was nice and we really enjoyed the pool with an awesome view. The hiking trails were fairly well maintained, so that was nice as we enjoyed them.
Well we didn't have a pleasant experience at the Steakhouse. The manager finally made it "right", but it was a very bad experience. Being in a customer service business we understand the difficulties with staffing in these times, but being on our 3rd wait staff w/out even seeing management and sitting at a table (yes we had reservations) for over 25 minutes w/out even being greeted is unacceptable. Needless to say, we didn't even get our food for over an hour, but we tried to make the best of it.
