We absolutely loved this little “rain forest” sanctuary. The decor is so cool, great breakfast, not tub and amazing host Mr Kim gives tips of the neighborhood.

Beautiful tucked away cottage style room in a jungle like garden setting. The bed was super comfortable, the room was zen-like decorated and the breakfast with lots of fruit and pastry was simply delicious. We had the most peaceful sleep on this very quiet property. Also enjoyed the little outdoor hot tub.
This place is within short distance to Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park and all its beautiful sightseeing and hikes. I also highly recommend to book a cave tour near Glenwood with Kazumura Cave Tours. The guide is super knowledgable and walking through the big lava tube was one of the highlights of our stay on the Big Island.

Room was great - high quality features like amazing soaker tub, dual shower, and garbage disposal. Bed was comfortable. Location was peaceful and quiet, close to national park, but felt like in the jungle.
Breakfast was not good, over priced, and more work than it was worth. Don’t waste your money there. Room was dusty and had cobwebs in those hard to reach places like around the bed.

the solitude, serenity, and quietness. and closeness to the park.
it was all good

nothing
we booked specifically because the hula room showed and stated there was a private hot tub.
this is a boldface lie, and the complex hot tub has been out of service for two years due to Covid - plenty of time to
update the website.
we paid $80/ day for breakfast for two adults and two young kids. see what we got. that wasn’t worth $20 esp
when we don’t eat nuts so that basically left us fruit for four people to share?.
our room was $759/ night. it wasn’t even within 1/2 of that. stay at volcano house or the vrbo with the working
hot tub we planned to which WAS the same price.
No privacy- can see Thru the window coverings
it’s filled with Japanese trinkets in reach of a 6 year old 😱
we had to pay $200/night for,our two kids to sleep on a futon. so many up charges…
so not worth it…

We were looking forward to relaxing in this beautiful location in a hot bath. Unfortunately, the Jacuzzi was closed due to Covid.

Loved the decor and cozy vibes. John was extremely helpful and had the room ready for our arrival. He had our breakfast and food all stored in the refrigerator for our arrival.
There is nothing I could ask more from this stay. It was perfect for us as its literally 7 mins away from Volcanoes National Park.

Breakfast only because we just don’t eat pastries for breakfast so we ended up going out for breakfast.

The location and the ambiance. Away from the big hotel tourist crowds. Quiet, lush and 5 minutes from Volcano National Park entrance! Small fun restaurants and general store ver close. Owner was so nice!
Can’t think of a thing that could be better. Covid caused restrictions like hot tub closed, but everything is like that worldwide. Well, mostly when you care about each other!!

Intimate, personal and private. Beautiful property in a nice community.
The bed was uncomfortable.

Beautiful, tranquil setting—you feel as if you’re in the middle of an exotic Hawaiian garden. Large, airy cottage with small kitchen, dining table & fireplace. Very good and unique breakfasts sustained us for our many hikes. Great location, off the beaten path, but convenient to Volcanoes National Park.

The breakfast was very generous! Excellent coffee, fresh fruit artfully prepared. Egg pie, fresh ham and cheese croissant...fabulous well equipped galley kitchen. The gas fireplace took the chill out perfectly. Bedding was cozy and plentiful....a true pause was had. We will definitely return!
COVID-19!
Without covid we could have used the hot tub which would have been PERFECT!
Next time!!!
