Location was key. I could have easily stayed at the Downtown Ann Arbor Marriott however, I travel and stay in hotels a lot for work. My soul, brain and body needed to feel at home. The Burnt Toast Inn exceeded my expectations and Sarah is a gracious host. Started with a warm smile and welcome and at that moment inside her home I knew I made the right choice.
Gus in my room. Lol

I highly recommend the Burnt Toast Inn. Fabulous location in walking distance to downtown Ann Arbor. Wonderful accommodations for guests. Delicious breakfast. Every amenity possible is available. Most importantly, a wonderful, gracious, and hospitable owner, Sarah. She made us feel at home. We will be back!

The proprietor, Sarah, is warm and welcoming without being overbearing. She provides a lovely breakfast with lots of fun options.
Her guest refrigerator is well stocked with drinks.
She is COVID aware.
Rooms are very clean. We were in the “attic” which felt very private and had an en suite bathroom, a queen bed and a twin bed. It doesn’t have as many windows as other rooms being an attic, but was perfect for us.
The master is a sunny king bed room with a spacious en suite bathroom.
There are three other rooms with bathrooms separate from the bedroom.
it is a little further from the University of Michigan campus— about a mile— but very walkable. Not a ton of parking – – make sure you discuss your parking situation with Sarah.

The usual host was unfortunately unavailable for but she was able to quickly gather her little army and everything was spectacular. Gus, the beautiful black lab dog, is a magnificent second as well.
The location was highly convenient to restaurants and stores. A ten minute drive to the Botanical gardens and the Arb and a five minute walk to the Chop House.
Honestly, not a single complaint. Everything was well thought out and interesting to look at the collection of miscellaneous art and decor.

Breakfast was wonderful - Sarah made us delicious meals and sourced many of the ingredients from local shops. It was fun to sit around the table and meet some of the other guests staying as well. The property was in a great location with easy parking and a short walk to downtown Ann Arbor. Overall, we would be happy to stay again and will definitely recommend it to friends and family that are looking to visit!

Sarah and her Labrador Gus, made us feel very much at home! Her breakfasts which were accompanied by her homemade breads were fantastic. You can't beat the location. It's a short walk to everything in town but in a very quiet neighborhood. We could not recommend the Burnt Toast Inn enough!!
Not a thing except a longer stay!
