Great location. Some hiking trails are nearby. You also have some waterfalls in the neighborhood. Faja Grande also has two great restaurants at the dock. Don't miss going there.
The staff was very nice. They allowed us to stay a little longer, because our flight was in the afternoon.
There was no warm water at the house! We definitely needed a warm shower after a windy and cold day of hiking 😕. Since it was cold and windy during our stay the house was very cold. Even with all doors and windows closed the cold wind somehow came in. We could see the curtains move. There was a mobile electric heater in the house, but it is by far not strong enough to heat the big living room.
Unfortunately the bathroom on the ground floor stank very bad. I assume it was the toilet's drain.
So we closed the door to prevent the smell from spreading in the house. But this didn't really help.
Also the ground floor wasn't cleaned properly when we arrived. There was dirt and insects in each corner. The floor was a little sticky and the couch in the living room was dissolving so the floor was covered with pieces from the couches faux leather.
We booked this stay as the highlight of our Azores Trip, but it was by far not as good as promoted. The place has potential, but it obviously needs some maintenance. It might have been a good choice in the pre-COVID era. Maybe it changed the owner or operator. We cannot recommend this place. Save your money for something else.

Excellent location for beauty, excellent views.
The shower was small and the shower head was leaky. It would have been nice to have wine glasses with the dishes and information about where to get groceries/eat around the island. The food in town was ok, but not great.

The location of the house was fantastic as it was located in a beautiful part of the island, within walking distance to the village and the waterfalls and in a quiet area. The rooms were very spacious and the house had all the appliances needed for our stay. Communication with the host was very easy and quick.

The location is fantastic, the views are great and the bed was comfortable. It was nice to have a laundry rack to hang our wet stuff up on
The apartment had quite a musty smell whenever the windows were closed, and the shower handle broke off when we were staying there. The shower in general was a little poor, with the door being loose and the tray filling up quickly when you are in it I reported the broken handle but it was not fixed by the time we left 2 days later.
WiFi a little slow but thats probably to be expected in such a remote location.

Perfect location, spacious house
We would have appreciated a working oven, a coffee maker, quicker response regarding payment, and someone to handle payment with at least a basic level of English.
