About this house rental
Lost Paradise (3-bedroom, 1 bath) is truly a Northwoods paradise property. The park like setting has a completely level lot with gorgeous rip rap sand beach that will keep you wanting to stay forever. Bring your own boat and use the boatlift provided or rent a brand-new pontoon or fishing boat from Hiller Vacation Homes. Lost Lake is over 540-acre with a restaurant and bar with easy access to pull up to on the hot summer day or night. Our sand beach is perfect for the family who loves water activities. With all living accommodations being on one level, this home has great accessibility. The first bedroom offers a Queen-size bed. The second and third bedrooms are perfectly decorated with Northwoods accents and each offers a twin-over-twin bunk bed and one solo twin bed. There is a full-size sleeper sofa provided for additional sleeping accommodations in the living room. If you love wildlife, you can observe bald eagles soaring above the lake and whitetail deer drinking from the lake. Fish until your hearts content off our private dock. You will never know if you will catch a musky, northern, bass, walleye, or panfish. Lost Lake is an excellent fishing lake and you will never go away empty handed. Lost paradise is within 3-5 miles of 15 excellent restaurants. The nostalgic Northwoods town of St. Germain is 3.5 miles from our property. The spring crappie and walleye fishing is known to be excellent. Summer brings bass into the shallow weed beds and in June the northern fishing is fast action. Musky fishing is great in Late July thru October. Ice fishing is excellent right in front of our cabin. St. Germain is known for excellent paved trails thru the woods of northern Wisconsin as well as fat tire bike trails for bike adventures in all seasons. For the more adventurous explorer, mountain bike trails are located right down the road on the Shannon Lake and Fern Ridge trails Winter months are incredible at Lost Paradise and are a snowmobiler’s fantasy. The snowmobile trail goes across Lost Lake right off our property. You connect to hundreds of miles of trails throughout northern Wisconsin. Ski Big Powder horn in Michigan’s upper peninsula within an hour drive. Cross-country ski or snowshoe thru the marked trails right out of our property or just spend cozy Northwoods nights in this beautiful cabin. We had to try a couple of the beds as the mattresses were not great and our backs are definitely hurting. The outlets did not work as well - difficult to charge our iPhones, computers, etc. (if you look in the book where people talk about their stays, this is an old problem). In addition, we were a little disappointed that the pier had been pulled in and we were unable to enjoy the boat (the pics online showed that the pier was still out). Fyi, this house does have wifi which was nice. This would be a great place to stay in the summer as the shoreline looks wonderful for swimming and boating.

Nicely decorated and great firepit. Up to date appliances. Wish there would have been air conditioning. Great water access and truly enjoyed the kayaks. Great place to unwind for the week.

We had a family vacation at Lost Paradise and loved it. The outdoor area was beautiful with a nice firepit set up and the shallow shore was perfect for our 4 and 2 year old to play without being too worried. Check in was easy and there was plenty of room for 6 adults. I assumed there was AC, which was not the case. We were there for the June heatwave and it wasn't that bad. We brought fans from home and were fine. We experienced lots of mosquitos and ticks, so come prepared with plenty of bug spray. The kitchen was well equipped. We will definitely book again in the future.

I loved everything about our stay at Lost paradise. Cabin was easy to find, ready when we got there. Clean and looked even better then pictures. Pontoon boat was delivered early that was a bonus. We brought our dogs and they loved it too. We brought our UTV and they had trails galore to go on. Loved having a code access to cabin instead of a key. Very convenient. We will definitely be back!

We absolutely love Lost Lake. We were worried about COVID but getting away with our family was exactly what we needed. The view is breath taking with tons of Eagles soaring above. The property was clean, open concept, and had all the amenities that we needed. The bedrooms were a little tight and the kids had to be careful being on the top bunk bc of the fan, however, we were rarely in our rooms. Would love to come back and definitely recommend.

Quick Vacation
We were looking for a quick end of summer vacation and this location fit the bill. We liked the flat large yard leading to the lake and sitting around the fire pit in the evenings. Nice place

Home was clean and well-kept. Very easy access to Lake and boat. Very nice amenities. Beautiful surroundings. Lots of wildlife. Had daily visits from deer, which was lovely! Highly recommend if you have a small group or older members who need easy access to Lake and grounds.

Great time in St. Germain at Lost Lake!
My family and I stayed at this Hiller cottage on Lost Lake during the Labor Day weekend. Although the weather was a bit on the cool side we had a great time during our weekend stay! The bedrooms are nice with alot of beds. Nice kitchen and sitting areas. One bathroom is a bit of a challenge but that might be because we have 3 teen age daughters!
The fire pit outside is great- we used it every night that we were there!
The cottage is really cool how it's private and has convenient access to the lake. The beach is nice and the kayaks are a great option to get out on the water! St. Germain is an awesome area to enjoy- lots to do, not just lake activities. The biking and hiking trails are easy to access- it was a blast going out on the trails.
The Hiller realty desk at Hiller was very reliable which makes it nice. The lake is great, easy to access and is good size. The only drawback was there are buried rocks beneath the surface is several places which makes it kind of challenging to navigate around when your out boating. Even though I was very aware of the rock areas we still ran into the rocks with our boat. This caused alot of damage to the propeller which caused expensive repairs.
Overall though I would stay here again and highly recommend this cottage and location! A terrific place for a get away to the Northwoods!

Lost Lake

The cabin was not very clean, lawn had a lot of goose poop, water was skummy. Bathroom was very small. Cost of cabin is not worth the money. I will be going through a different rental company going forward. I attempted to contact the rental company on a different cabin I had an interest in renting for the following year and did not hear from them for approximately two weeks after I contacted them, And by that time the cabin had already been booked.

This was our 8th time renting from Hiller's for our family's Christmas vacation. Everything ran smoothly, professionally & courteously. The staff at Hiller's is helpful, concerned & friendly. The cabin was clean and as cozy as ever. Great location to restaurants, grocery store & more. Had a wonderful week of family time, ice fishing & snowshoeing!

Warning no wifi
While looking for places to stay in Vilas County, we were trying to find a place with wifi so we could do our homework while here. On the listing it says that there is internet there, but that sadly was a lie. If wifi isn't a big deal for you, then this place is great. It has an amazing view and is such a cozy cabin! Btw, there are DVDs above the washer and dryer, and you might want to bring your own toilet paper, the one they have is extremely thin.

Very clean unit, well groomed property. The new updates in the kitchen were a pleasant surprise. This was our third year staying at Loat Paradise and we look forward to spending many more vacations for years to come at this property. Being pet friendly is a great deal for us that we don’t have to kennel our pups, we treat them as family members. The lake is pretty relaxing and quiet during our stay.

This was the second time we have stayed at Lost Paradise. Overall the property is nice and very comfortable. Some things we noticed from this stay were a few of the window/door screens were in disrepair which led to some very buggy nights. Along with that the window coverings were torn, did not work or were missing on a few windows. We were told by Hillers Staff that the cabin had does not. Aside from those few things the property is beautiful and we did enjoy our stay.

Lost Lake is a very nice lake, smaller and less traffic with a nice sandy bottom for our smaller kids. They loved fishing from the doc and pontoon, swimming from shore, tubing, go-kart riding, mini golf, horse back riding all were very close. The weather was great as well and we all had a great time. We rented this cabin and Lost Getaway Lake home next door. Overall every had a great time and the grandparents spent quality time with everyone. Very memorable.

We have been staying at Lost Paradise for a few years now. Each year we see a decline in the decline in condition, this year being the most drastic: windows inoperable, almost every screen is ripped or has holes in, paddleboat broken and management did not fix the entire stay, beds have springs coming out of them, etc. Also this year we were given no access to the garage like in past years, which really decreased storage. The garbage cans were left outside the garage and bears kept getting into the trash and we had to pickup garbage spew around the property.

I have never seen thinner walls. It was clean and everything worked,but looked much better than it lived. Furnace ran almost full time when it was below zero. The tongue and groove walls appeared to be less than an inch thick.

Fast & friendly check-in experience with Hiller Vacation Homes. The staff is great! The property location is beautiful. Close to the lake with beautiful grounds. We enjoyed the eagles flying over through out the day, deer visits and the sounds of the loons on the lake. We had a very peaceful and relaxing vacation!
