Nestled in Seneca Lake, this attractive cottage for $294 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Welcome to "Peace of Haven" ~ This cozy cottage offers you peace and serenity! Sit back and enjoy the view of the lake while having a cup of coffee or glass of wine, read a book and lounge in one of our cushioned loungers. The coziness of the home can't be expressed through the pictures - it truly is a little piece of heaven as soon as you enter the home and you feel the tension of life fade away. Mesmerizing sunrise pours into your bedroom window with the gift of a new day. Spend your day relaxing with a book, kayaking, fishing, exploring the many amenities of the area including winery, brewery & cheese tours, shopping, walking the Glen, hiking & biking trails, skiing, golfing, enjoy the newly built casino, Watkins Glen Raceway and a variety of restaurants. Wind back down from the day to enjoy dinner from the grill and dining on the deck overlooking the lake. Head down to the beach by the lake for a crackling fire in the pit to wrap up the day. As the sun sets, experience the moon dancing on the lake and the serene feel of the lake lightly crashing along the shore. As soon as you turn down our private lane, you'll transition to the feeling of peacefulness. The cottage is on a dead end street limiting traffic to the locals. There is plenty of parking that can accommodate up to six cars. Easy access to the cottage with a level lot makes unpacking a breeze. Upon entering the cottage, you'll feel the warmth and coziness of the home with lake views and a bright open floor plan. Our home offers 2 bedrooms with queen sized beds and pillow top mattresses, pull out couch with queen memory foam mattress, 2 full bathrooms, and a separate laundry room. A fully stocked kitchen will provide you with everything you need to cook an amazing meal for your family. The kitchen has plenty of cupboard and counter space for easy meal preparation. A full pantry is available for your personal food. Dining area includes room for 6 or serve dinner on the deck while enjoying the amazing lake view. The living room is spacious and has comfortable seating. On a cold winter's night, cozy up in the rocker, turn on the fireplace and watch the snow gently falling over the lake offering an entirely new experience! Head down to the beach and enjoy some fishing off the dock, take a swim to cool off, sit around the fire pit, play a few yard games or just grab a lounger and soak up the sun. Our home offers high speed internet, satellite TV, television in the master bedroom & streaming TV in the living room, fully stocked kitchen, grill, yard games, corn hole, board games, puzzles, a small library of books, DVD's & VHS's, 2 kayaks w/life vests, small variety of swimming floats, fishing poles. We are conveniently located half way on the west side of the lake so a drive in either direction to Geneva or Watkins Glen is convenient. Penn Yan is about 8 miles away and offers shopping, restaurants, grocery store & gas. Variety of restaurants, wineries and breweries to choose from. You will absolutely love enjoying some down time at our cottage ~

Loved our visit. The property has amazing views of the lake and is close to many vineyards. We were there for Thanksgiving but Im sure it would be even more amazing in the summer.

Your home was everything we expected and more! The view of the water was incredible. The decor and special touches make you feel as if you’re at a friends home. Located in a quiet, private neighborhood. Nancy provides everything you need for a wonderful, relaxing stay.

The house was perfect for our weekend away with friends. Cozy, clean, well-stocked, and easy access to the vinyards made it perfect. Nancy and Troy made us feel very welcome. And we were so happy we could bring our dog!

The window in the bedroom frames the birdfeeder, which we loved! We saw many different types of birds and it was so nice that birdseed and peanuts were provided. If you have dogs, there is a very cute room dedicated to caring for them. Overall, we would stay here again in a heartbeat. It was so relaxing. This is a wonderful property with spectacular views.

Home is in a very picturesque location on Lake Seneca. Nancy is a very responsive host and has provided many conveniences to make your stay comfortable. The views from the back deck were beautiful. It was a very serene setting.

As return guests, we knew we were in for a great stay. As expected, everything was very clean and comfortable. The shower was newly remodeled. We had better weather this year, so were able to spend more time outside. Greatly enjoyed a fire alongside the lake at night with the stars overhead. Location of the cottage can’t be beat. Close proximity to wineries, breweries, and restaurants, and the view from the deck is amazing. Nancy is always an accommodating host, making sure there was no trouble with check in and that we were comfortable in the cottage. We will not hesitate to return!

The house was perfect for our family of 4 and 2 dogs. The neighborhood was quiet. We spent hours on the dock and in the lake fishing, paddle boarding, kayaking or just floating. The house was very clean and so dog-friendly (specific dog towels, blankets and treats!) The kitchen was well equipped and literally there was not another thing we could think of needing. Nancy was very responsive and provided all the info we needed. The only thing to note is the property has a sea wall (not a beach) and no real gradual way to enter the water (specifically the dogs who would not go down the grated steps to the water). Fortunately, there is a great little small boat ramp/beach down the road that we used and spent a lot of time walking on the Keuka outlet trail with creek access. One of our dogs finally found her love of swimming and was living her best lake life! Overall, we loved this vacation and would definitely stay again.

We have 3 kids 4 and under and this property was perfect for them. The swimming area wasn’t too deep and the house wasn’t filled with breakable items. The kids had a blast!

We felt as though we were staying in someone's lovely home; not a rental. It was equipped with everything we needed and then some. Everything was immaculate with special touches throughout. We especially enjoyed sitting on the deck either chatting or reading---or simply staring at the lovely view. We especially felt at home to be able to watch and feed the hummingbirds, birds, and bunnies; (and so did our dogs.) Thank you for a lovely vacation.

This was such a great place to stay. Nancy was a top notch VRBO host. She thought of everything you would need to make your stay comfortable and to feel like a home away from home. Our two Granddogs loved the deck!! Can’t wait to return.

Everything about this stay was perfect. The house is spacious, flawlessly clean, and equipped with everything one could hope for in the kitchen, bathroom, outdoors, and entertainment. Located right on Seneca Lake, it's close to major attractions (wineries, Watkins Glen) and within an easy drive to the adorable town of Geneva. We hope to return soon!

Despite being late in the season as the weather turned chilly, we spent many hours just sitting on the back deck soaking in the sun. Lake Seneca is large, if you close your eyes you would think you were at the ocean as the waves lap against the dock. Being able to bring our dog was a huge plus, both for enjoying the gated deck and taking many hikes on the area trails. The walking trail starting in nearby Penn Yan was the prettiest of the dog friendly hikes we took.
One word of warning for those who prefer to stay connected - the satellite internet does not handle smart TV streaming, laptop/handheld videos/gaming, or photo uploads/downloads well, especially in the evening. The cell connection is however perfect, so plan to use a cell based hotspot if you want to do anything graphic intensive. Or plan to disconnect!

This property is right on Seneca Lake with direct access to the water. It's an attractive house and very well equipped. We enjoyed our stay. There was a problem with the heat and the gas fireplace -- Nancy acted immediately and got the heat restored the next day. I would certainly recommend this house for a Finger Lake vacation.

Amazing lakefront property
We really enjoyed our weeklong stay at the lake house. It was SUPER clean, well-stocked and the views were amazing! The bedding was comfortable, and the linen closet was fully stocked. The dogs loved the outside deck. Nancy provided everything you could think of for a very comfortable, relaxing stay. The wine and treats for us and the dogs were also a welcoming touch! The garage was nice for our cargo carrier. Neighbors were super friendly too! We can't wait to go back! (Note: The rental is exactly as it is pictured VRBO.)

The house was very well-maintained and the location was excellent. Nancy was in contact with us throughout our stay and available to answer any questions. The snacks and gift she left for us upon arrival was an unexpected, yet very much appreciated surprise. I would definitely rent again!
