Cancelled trip and sent us back

Nothing...because we did not stay there due to over booking. They had direct bookings and we did not have room to stay.

When we arrived we were told that it was fully booked by the staff Harish. When we said we booked thru booking.com we were informed that thay had full booking directly so they cannot accomodate us. The manager Amit Choudary came on phone and told us that we should have booked 1 week earlier and should have called and confirmed the booking. He offered to put us up at other properties..but we were upset and left the premise disappointed. Our home is just 3 hrs away and we came back home. Imagine this happening to people coming from north India with family and children. Booking.com should just remove this property from its list.

Worst property in ooty

It has many antiques.Location seems closer to many tourist places

Many 1. The property is not even worth for 1000 rupees, but they are charging for more than 4000 rupees 2. They claim water heater available for 24 hours, but they switched off water heater remotely. So we don't get hot water always. 3. The room was not clean at all. Bedsheets were not washed properly. We had to ask for each amenities like toothbrush, towel etc 4. The room was always having smell of smocking We didn't get a different room when we requested for 5. Breakfast is very poor. Sambar doesn't have any vegitable. Only idli and bread toast was there. Both are not tasty at all. 6. Above and all, hotel name is not mentioned anywhere, and they don't give bill. They take GST of 1000 rupees but they don't have GST ID Overall not worth if the price is 4000

Our recent homestay Experience in Red House Surpassed all Expectations, providing an unforgettable retreat for my family . My children enjoyed family room very much , Breakfast is soooo very tasty & home made w. Mr.Amith Manager Is very polite & Everything which is asked with smile he gets done The staff is sooooo very good ( Ashish ,Michael) well trained & cleaning is done e very time we handover the keys in reception..very neat & clean & hygienic ..

Comfortable heritage homestay in Ooty.

Large well appointed room with fantastic hot shower. Attentive very enthusiastic staff, tasty South Indian cooked breakfast plus toast and peanut butter!

daytime road noise but quietened down at night.

Excellent stay - 120 Yrs property

Very very pleasant. it was very different stay. 120 years old property, well maintained. The care taker was very friendly and loved his humour. very flexible

Good, but could have been better.

Staff behaviour, breakfast was simple and homemade. Location was good, close to attractions.

Rooms could be spacious, as the furniture was a hindrance. No kettle in room for hot drinking water considering cold weather in winters. Bit costly.

It was a pretty Pleasant stay i loved it specially the bonfire.

The location is a bit far from the City but The breakfast was so tasty you can't get many options but Whatever is will be it will be very very tasty

The Washroom is not bad but it's a bit old..

Pleasant and nice

Staffs are very helpful and they are very much well behaved, location is good, rooms are very good and clean, they treat us like a family and they can help you to arrange any cab for sightseeing and those cab drivers are also very kind and helpful.

The owner called the day of the travel and said they didnt have two rooms. We were left no otehr option but to find a different place traveling from a very long distance.

I had booked this place from 6th to 8th July 2022, but unfortunately I had to check out on 6th itself.

Nothing.

The property was very spooky. The antiques needs dusting. Everything was dirty, mattresses were torn and dirty and smelly. The staff behaviour toward my and my little sister was very bad. They were very rude. And felt unsafe around them. I was told that the kitchen was available, but they didn’t allow there.

Ambience was good , good was simple but tasty but single option fr both breakfast and dinner

There was no television service, breakfast if more than 2 to 3 people are there you have to wait long with empty plate waiting for the good, they couldn't accommodate late check-out though there room was un occupied - charged 50% of tarriff for late checkout
