Happy and old bungalows

The place is in a good location and the people who regent the bungalows are super sweet.

Like another places in koh tao the quality price is not good. The bungalow is old, super dark and doesn't have a lot of facilities. You need to pay extra to use the AC or to have drinking water

A comfortable homely stay!

The owner who greeted us, was incredibly friendly. She welcomed us with open arms and was very accommodating. We had just got off an over night ferry and she allowed us to use the facilities before we could check in so we felt refreshed for the day. She was extremely helpful throughout our stay with recommendations and also booking bikes to use around the island.

Bungalow en mauvais état, au bord d'une route très fréquentée, mobilier et sanitaires en mauvais état, très bruyant, pas de vitres aux fenêtres, pas sûr que les "draps" et les serviettes de toilette soient changés !!! bref, à fuir ! Si vous voulez passer une nuit blanche, allez-y ! Le pire hôtel qu'on ait trouvé en Thaïlande ! (vu le prix demandé)

sehr gemütlich und ruhig, total sympathische frau, kühlschrank dabei, angenehmes bett, warme dusche, mückennetzt gegen die vielen mücken, rollerausleihe, handseife. wie konnten sogar vergünstigt ein tag länger bleiben

kein shampoo/duschgel, man muss aufpassen wegen mücken, klimanlage kostet 150baht extra, wände/fenster nicht sehr isoliert

Lovely owner & perfect location for ferry

Location for ferry!! The owner is so funny and lovely- she was really accommodating and let us shower after check out as well as giving us bananas when we arrived. The room was so big and beds so comfy

Pretty good stay, if you are not an upmarket guest

The room was big enough for us. We have been two people, but got 4 beds. There was a fridge inside. Bathroom was clean and we got some soap. We like harder mattresses, so the beds were totally okay for us. Its possible to boil some water and prepare some toasted bread, but therefor you need to go to the reception.

For preparing meals and eating food you were told to sit outside the bungalow. There was an extra table prepared on the terrace. Eating outside normally is a nice thing, but there have been to many flies and mosquitoes to enjoy your meal. We weren't able to pay with credit card and we needed to deposit 500 Baht cash for our room key.

nice rooms, comfortable beds and very spacious. was a bit further out so a 5-10 min walk into town but not that far. owner was very friendly

• We loved our stay at Happy Bungalow! So much so we extended a night, which was simple to do. The lovely lady who runs the place is warm, friendly, hardworking and like a grandmother to you. • It’s a good location, 15 minute walk from the dock, and 5-10 from bars and cafes / restaurants, however it’s on a main road. It’s a great spot for anyone not wanting to stay amongst the loud bars and younger area of Sairee, and is much more authentic than the main strip. Across the road is a pathway that takes you to the beach, both Mae Haad and Sairee.

Lovely bungalow and the host makes you feel at home

Lovely host and very comfortable bungalow. There is a bathroom that you can use after check out if you are taking a later boat. We were able to leave our luggage at the accommodation and have a shower at the end of the day before our night boat. The bungalow is spacious and clean. The mattress of the double bed was very comfortable and there was hot water in the shower. There is a mini fridge and a table and chairs at the balcony so we were able to have our own breakfast.

It was a bit overpriced for our budget. 700 baht per night is a bit much, but it was one of the cheapest options on the island. You would probably get a better deal if you book in person. The location is okay, but a bit further away from the beach.

excellent value for money and very friendly staff

The property was well kept and had everything you need for a comfortable stay. The staff were so helpful and friendly, there was nothing that was too much for them they helped us a lot even with getting around the island.

There is nothing that I disliked about the stay.

Superb

Initially, we booked the property because it was close to the pier and we liked that we could walk there when we arrived off the ferry. However, it totally surpassed our expectations. The room was big, comfortable beds, and it was really quiet. It didn’t matter to us, but there’s no hot water, so keep this in mind if it’s important to you.

Superb

Nice and clean room which has everything you need. It cools off a little at night and with the fan you can sleep there quite well. Nice and quite place, especially compared to the party scene downtown.
