If you ever visit Khao Lak, this is the hotel you want to book!

Kai, the manager of the hotel is an incredible host. Always keen to help and incredibly welcoming. She helped us throughout our stay in Khao Lak organize the following stops of our trip. She offered to keep our luggage at the hotel during our 3-day trip to Surin islands to allow us to travel more comfortably. Note this address if you plan to go to Khao Lak, Kai is amazing!

This hotel is so relaxing and helpful the people who run it work tirelessly to help make your stay comfortable, Kai is amazing and so so kind. a few of the kind things that were done for us, bare in mind we were only here for two nights… provided us a room early so we could sleep before check in then moved us to a bigger room help taking our bags up to our room (our very heavy bags!) free laundry if you stay here drove us to the beach and picked us up - for free! (if you have a massage there the guy is amazing! and the food is incredible) we offered money but Kai said they work on kindness here she also gave us brand new beach towels to take to the beach with us breakfast is amazing - a huge pile of fresh fruit, toast, croissants, muffins, jams and amazing coffee! 2x waters each, in 5* hotels you only get 1 each! round the corner from the night market and the main Street everything is so clean, calm and I could recommend more

The hotel is simple and cozy and the room was very clean and quiet with a comfortable bed. There is always free water and the breakfast consists of eggs, toast and plenty of fresh delicious fruits. It's located in the middle of Khao Lak close to the market, so there is often something to do outside the door. The closest beach is nothing special, so rather take a trip to one of many other beaches around. The hostess, Kai, is a very kind and joyful woman that will help you out with whatever you need; ride, trips, food recommendations etc. She was the biggest reason why I would recommend to stay here - made me feel very at home. Ended up staying two more nights than planned.

Amazing host!

Kai has been the most extraordinary host we have ever encountered. Not only did she do all our laundry for free but she also gave us a lift to every beach we wanted to go to. She is kind, warm and trustful; she really goes the extra mile for all her guests. The rooms are spotless clean and cleaned thouroughfully every day. Breakfast is amazing with plentiful of fresh fruit. Would definitely stay there again!

The best hotel in Thailand!

- Kai (the owner) is AMAZING!! She does so much for her guests! - The stay already includes a delicious breakfast (fresh fruits, baked goods, eggs (any style) and coffee), free laundary service and daily fresh beach towls. Furthermore, Kai drives you everywhere you want to go and picks you up later when you want to go back to the hotel. - The hotel is located in the center of Khao Lak but is still quiet at night. - Very cosy place you immediately feel home - Good place to meet people

A great place to stay!

Kai, who runs Casa Cool, is one of the kindest and warmest people we have ever met. We were down with a heatstroke during our stay (having had too much fun in Phuket previously 🙈) and Kai went out of her way to be there for us. Not only did she set up an appointment with a doctor, she drove us to and from the appointment as well. Given the states we were in, this was really appreciated. She always saw to it that we were heartily fed and had laundered clothes. She gave us suggestions for places to visit and also let us use a scooty to reach them. She coordinated with the bus driver for our onward journey, and even gave us snacks for the ride! Before coming to Khao Lak, we had read in another review that someone felt she was very motherly...we definitely second that having seen how much she looked after us while we were there. She refused to take any extra payment from our side when we wanted to express our gratitude for all that she did for us. She is one of those people who inspires you to be better person! Kai, we hope our paths cross again! :) The place is very cosy and the breakfast is amazing! There are a lot of food and massage options around We would definitely recommend Casacool for anyone visiting Khao Lak!

Excellent location in tourist center with many restaurants and shops. Superb breakfast, wonderful staff, room has everything- medium size refrigerator, AC and fan, hot showers, very comfortable bed, clean bathroom.

Breakfast area can use more tables and chairs.

Nice hotel for short stay in Khao Lak

Lovely owner, the breakfast is delicious and suitable for vegetarians as well. Location close to the night market, beach maybe 5 mins by scooter. We stayed there as departure point for our live aboard for one night. The rooms are big and clean. The windows are yellow colored so it’s not the best light when being in the room during the day with windows closed. Therefore would recommend to not spend the day in the room too much .

We are in a 2 months long trip and this has been a highlight of comfort so far!

Excellent location, next to many restaurants, shops. The breakfast was amazing,four different kinds of fruits (mango, passion fruit, dragon fruit, water melon) in sufficient quantities, eggs with cheese, cereals,3 kinds of breads, pastries....We had a room on the fourth floor with an amazing view. The bed was very comfortable. The air conditioner was cold. The bathroom was large and clean with hot showers.. They are willing to machine wash and dry our clothes for free! i would come here again and again.

No staff was present on site when we arrived. We had to wait 5-10 minutes.

Kai and Mimi were just amazing humans and exceptional hosts! They treated us like family with huge breakfasts, lots of fruit, laundry and even offered to drive us to the beach. The bed was better than any hotel we stayed at and the bathroom was clean and functional. The vibe is very relaxed and homely and Kai has an amazing personality....very kind and happy. Can't wait to visit again 😊

I had really good time in Khao Lak especially because a super attentive host Kay.

The position quite central and the furniture. The lady taking care of property Kay was very very nice she helped me to book tours and she gave me a lift to a secluded beach with her car and also to the minivan meeting point when I was leaving.She is a super nice host.

Nice room, very comfortable bed but most importantly the woman who runs it is the nicest person i have met in Thailand and with how nice Thai people are thats really saying something. She did everything possible to make the trip as good as it could be would definitely come back.

Great value and warm welcome from bubbly hostess

Our lovely, kind, friendly and generous hostess Kai made this an unforgettable stay. She went out of her way to make us comfortable, great breakfasts, free laundry and even took us to local beaches. We stayed an extra night and really didn't want to leave. Rest assured we will be back!

The owner, Khun Kai, takes care of you as if you were her child. The rooms are big and the bed is comfy. They clean your room each day and serve a beautiful breakfast with lots of fresh fruit. The hotel is located in a great location, makes it easy to go to bars, restaurants, dive shops, you name it. Honestly, staying at this place was one of the highlights of my trip because Khun Kai makes you feel what Thai hospitality is all about.

Great place to stay

Great place to stay. Kai is a really kind and hospitable host, treats guests like one of the family. I foolishly turned down her offer to take me to the beach on my second day, but she insisted on taking me on a detour on my way to the bus which turned into a 1.5 tour of all the amazing local beaches that I'd missed out on - if she offers to take you somewhere, just say yes!

Maybe the room could have been a little brighter, but that's more of a personal niggle :)

a must stay. perfect spot for diving. Ms.Kai was the best host!

The place was really nicely situated - about five mins walk from the beach and lots of restaurants around. The room was lovely a spacious and clean - very comfy bed! The breakfast was massive and included in the price. Ms.Kai puts cheese in her scrambled egg - she knows! Ms.Kai and her son were so helpful - they helped us with everything we needed and the fridge was always well stocked with water and room cleaned every day. Kai helped us with our onward journey to Krabi and was lovely and friendly. wifi was really good! aircon worked well and balcony was nice to sit out on of an evening. shower was powerful and hot! what more could you need.

Clean, comfortable, friendly, convenient

Simple, clean, and very convenient to tour operators and dive companies. Kai, the owner is very friendly and very helpful. A fantastic breakfast was included, which was so good I decided to stay longer. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

if you need to feel like home, this is the place to go !

the property was great, clean and really confortable. but the best thing about casacool is Kai, the owner, who is the best person in the world. She was nice; helpful, sweet, like our mothers. we definitely will come back to visit her and stay in this amazing place. Breakfast was delicious and enough for the whole day !

Kai was such a wonderful host, from the moment we arrived we were greeted with the biggest smile and warm reception. Rooms are clean and spacious, bed is super comfy. Kai cooked us a beautiful breakfast, we only planned to stay for one night but stayed an extra night because we loved it so much. Thank you Kai 💜

Homely Stay

Kai is wonderful, the friendliest lady. She takes such good care of the guests and makes you feel at home. The location is central and although Khao Lak is quiet, this hotel is still in a busier part. I can happily recommend this place to anyone.

Excellent service at an amazing price!

We had a really great stay at Casacool. Our room was big and clean and the owner Gai is amazing and really goes above and beyond to make sure her guests have everything they need. She provided us with beach towels and mats and a whole big bag of beach toys for our children to play with, gave us a bag of snacks for the beach and even drove 30 minutes away to show us one of her favorite beach spots in the area. The free laundry service was so nice to have as well! And the breakfast - I'm still dreaming about it 2 weeks later. Bacon, your choice of egg, homemade pineapple juice and so much fruit. Every day the breakfast kept getting bigger. By our 3rd and final morning we had 8 different types of fruit to choose from! We were traveling with 2 young children and I appreciated how kind Gai and her staff were to them and forgiving of the general craziness of our family. Overall, it was a really nice stay for our visit to Khao Lak and I highly recommend for anyone who wants great service for a great price.

There really isn't much that I can think of. There isn't an elevator in the hotel and while that didn't bother us a bit it might be an issue for others. There also aren't a whole lot of open restaurants in the area currently since so much has shut down due to covid. Hopefully when things get better this whole area will go back to what it once was. Of the places open Green Pepper restaurant was our favorite. It's located just across the street and had a great selection of Thai and Western food.
