Établissement sans prétention parfait pour découvrir la région.

L’emplacement directement sur le Mékong, le lit très confortable, l’excellente cuisine et surtout la gentillesse de la propriétaire.

Rien, c’est très simple mais très correct pour le prix

Tolle Tage auf Don Det !

Die Lage der Bungalows ist wirklich einmalig. Der Komfort ist überschaubar, aber das spielt keine Rolle bei diesen Preisen und vor allem der Atmosphäre an diesem fantastischen Ort. Sehr zu empfehlen für Reisende die mehr Wert auf Authentizität als auf Komfort legen.

Es gab nur Wolldecken zum Zudecken, keine Laken.

Absolutely wonderful place.

Great location, run by lovely people. Made me feel very welcome. My whole time there was a joy. Highly recommended. I didn’t want to leave.

Great (best?) guesthouse in Don Det !

We spent a few days in the private bungalow of Tip and Mike. The room is rudimentary - don’t except a 5 stars hotel - but it was perfect for us. Tip’s cooking is amazingly good and she cooked for us a western meat stew, thank you again ! They are so welcoming and make you feel at home. We loved spending time with them, it made our stay even better. You can rent bike at the guesthouse next door to go easily to the heart of the island.

Exceptional value

Beautiful location with a lovely view from the terrace. We could walk into the centre of Don Det or over the bridge to Don Khone. Comfortable beds, clean room. Easy check in and check out, carried out capably by the owners' young daughters. Cold shower only, but wasn't an issue in the hot weather. Western toilet with a bucket flush, again not a problem for us as it was very clean.

great little bungalow, private, quite and peaceful

location of bungalow was right in river food cooked from the host was delicious bikes were available at bungalow comfy beds hammocks on the deck overlooking the river the host was very helpful and caring farm animals on the property cute little dog called bumble

only thing would be there is no ac but no one on the island apart from a couple of places have air con

beautiful location, amazing staff but the room was very hot!

the location was tranquil and beautiful. the food was made fresh to order and it was one of our favourite meals we’ve had while travelling!! the room was basic but comfortable. the owner was welcoming and accommodating.

the room was too hot to comfortably sleep. there was a fan one fan but the room was large and didn’t really cool much of the room. additionally the roof of the room was connected to the neighbouring room so we could hear all of their conversations.

Best place in don det !!!

We absolutely loved our stay here ! We have seen many guesthouse on the island, but this is definitely our favorite! The room is comfortable and well equiped, and it has a terrasse directly on the river with 2 hammocks (no fighting ;)). Also some flat space to do the yoga our meditation. The area is quiet: not too many guesthouse like in don det ferry area :) nice restaurant on the water, where you have to order the best desert: banana fritta with chocolate sauce 😍😍😍 can rent bike there and go all around don khone and don det

A cute baby dog ate a bit of my shoe so keep an eye on them :p no proper toilet flush. Reserve as many night as you wish: no direct booking and the nice owner is sometimes overwhelmed with the booking system ;)

Relaxing stay at beautiful part of Don Det

The boathouse is a very serene, quiet and beautiful guesthouse. The family is so sweet and kind and very willing to help. They really took good care of me. Good food as well.

In your hammock near the river

De location is the best you can get. Lying in your hammock near the River. Who wants more. The food is very well prepared by Buntip, the lady of the house. And you had different choices for breakfast. The pancake is delicious. Buntip took also care of the bus to Pakse including the taxiboat which picked us up from the guesthouse. Super Cool.

It is very basic. Cold water and a non flushing toilet. You have to do this with cans of water. We could not pay wit card, happily we had enough cash.

I really enjoy my time to stay over there, one of my best holiday.

The bungalow is very beautiful, good scenery with river front view and hammock, and peaceful place. The reality is more beautiful than in pictures. The owners, Mike and his wife, are very nice, friendly, and helpful.

It is pretty far from the restaurants and shop which I need to walk in the dark in the night time. But, if you have bike or motorcycle, it is not an issue.

The location is directly on the river and the bungalow has a nice balcony area with a hammock which is nice to chill on and experience island life

The boathouse is a 30 minute walk away from the top of town. We were provided two options to get there, either walk down or to be picked up by boat. We agreed that we would call when we arrived to be picked up but no one picked up so we had to walk down in the midday heat - great exercise for the day at least! The toilet is a manual flush, which I guess is to be expected on the island but it would have been nice to have some soap provided, luckily we had a few bars. The water coming out the sink and shower was brown, assumed from the Mekong, which again is to be expected from the island but just something to know We didn't receive any information on arrival regarding things to do on the island, WiFi password, what time breakfast would be available etc. Maybe a on pager in the cabin would be helpful

Great hosts. We had a amazing time talking with them and get to know more about the life there. The food is incredible good. If i come again to this area i stay there again. For sure.

Very good

This is Don Det...don't expect high and brand new redort-like equipment..Everything is pretty basic. But this place is soooo lovely. Tips the owner is wonderful, the atmosphere is magic, calm, best sunrise....we loved our stay!

Decent but probably not meant for backpackers

Very nice bungalow, staff was nice, clean, good beds!

The location is quite out if the way if you don't have a bike, which may be what you want, but it's a 40 minute walk from either end of the island. Also somewhat expensive compared to other places on the island.
