The manager, Heather, was friendly, helpful and provided lots of local suggestions. Cottages were well equipped & very clean.
5.0
The view and quietness.
Shower was in bathtub, very limited space, extremely hard to adjust water temperature (got hot and cold all the time). TV not working at all. No air conditioner as advertised.

Excellent accommodation for the price and great staff.
Nothing to complain about but Wi-Fi would have been good.

Excellent location and excellent customer service.
Nothing to complain about. Wi-Fi would have been good, but it wasn't a deal breaker.

I stayed in one of the four cottages on site.
It's perfect for a solo traveller like myself or for a couple.
Fully equipped kitchen, very comfortable bed with nice linen and it is spotlessly clean.
The room and property surrounds might be basic and a little outdated, but it adds to the ambience of the serenity and isolation of the area.
It's disappointing the restaurant has closed down (apparently will reopen for summer 2023) because there's nowhere else to eat in Naracoopa; you'll need to head to Grassy or Currie but they're only around 15-20 minutes drive away (26km).
The stars at night are incredible and it's so nice to hear the waves at the beach from the room.
No local cafes or shops.

The location was beautiful
The cabins were not as they was advertised
The idea of lighting the gas cooktop with matches is beyond words
The cabins were not clean especially the shower
The so called laundry room was disgusting dirty and unkept
No one answered our calls upon arrival it took 20 mins to get through to someone The gentleman in one cabin tried to call 12 times and eventually checked himself in

Located right across from the beach.
Cabins are quite dated and could do with some upgrading or maintenance.

Lovely location. Neat and tidy inside and kitchen set up with standard size oven with hotplates, microwave, kettle etc. Plenty of kitchen utensils.
As clean as it could be, given normal wear on a property of its age. well kept grounds.
7.0
Cute cottages.
The property was abandoned. Nobody around. Restaurant closed. No atmosphere.

The staff responded promptly to questions and requests. We requested an iron prior to our arrival and the iron and ironing board were in our room from day one . The property was spotlessly clean and well equipped .

Location was great, although no shops at all, should probably let people know when booking. Bed was comfy.
Poor maintenance. was extremely hard to lock the door, had to force it shut to use the key which would have been no good for elderly people

on the waterfront, comfortable bed, kitchen with good facilities
no cafe, shop or restaurants close by but itโs a pretty 30 minute drive to Currie

Well set up for self catering - kitchen well equipped. Basic cabin but comfortable and well priced. Nice quiet location. Good as a base to see the island.
Bathroom a little tight.

Been to King Island many times and even grew up living at my grandparent's place just down the road, but never stayed here until now. The whole stay was pleasant and there was nothing wrong with the place. The price was decent given that it's the island, you can easily pay the same or more on the mainland, so that was nice. The cabins are clean, beautiful and cosy. The shower is impressive both in pressure and heat, much needed here even in summer. We stayed in the family room at the front so had a lovely view of the Esplanade and Naracoopa Beach/jetty, complete with plovers, wrens, large gulls and magpies. There is a laundry room up the back in the shed, which I believe is available for use. Everything worked and had no issues. Sadly, Baudin's restaurant that used to be here many moons ago is now closed, and there are no shops in Naracoopa anymore, so you 100% need to stock up in town before heading down. Basic supplies like coffee, tea and sugar were provided but nothing else, so don't forget as it's a long drive back to town!
