The food was excellent.
Very clean and tidy property.
Lovely helpful, friendly staff.
Comfortable beds in a lovely room.
Superb beautiful and quiet location that is also handy to the waterfront and many delightful shops and restaurants.
Power supply! - But this is India, it's not the property's fault that power cuts are a fact of life. They seldom impact on a visitor's stay.

Homely, courtyard style, spacious, felt at ease.

Beautiful old Dutch building, spacious rooms, good bed, very nice patio with covered terrace where you can sit and relax. Only the bathroom would need a little touch up, but works accordingly. Perfect location. Overal, very good stay to explore Cochin. Situated in the center of the old town. Would recommend it!

The property is an old printing press and very very charming. The location is optimal, just a short stroll away from shops and restaurants and fort Kochi beach. Staff was nice and helpful, and was able to arrange an airport dropoff for us.
Our room was spacious and had A/C and a fan. Breakfast was abundant and overall ok. Their cafe is in the inner courtyard which is just incredibly beautiful, with lush plants everywhere.
We used their laundry service and were happy with it.
The property felt very let down, but cleanliness and maintenance left a lot to be desired. We found multiple small flies and mosquitos in the room flying and crawling around, and the blankets were stained. We asked them to replace them and they did but one of the new towels they left had a literal big hole in it..
The fan was very noisy and A/C seem to be either off or blasting. We had a very hard time setting it up so we would not sweat nor freeze..
The room, while spacious, was oddly organized, with little storage space and another small room attached to it that was empty except for a wardrobe.. It was also very dark as the only window was a glass door in the small room attached (so, far form the actual bedroom) that went our on the big balcony (so opening the curtains would make us feel too seen). We ended up closing the door to the small room and just pretending it wasn't there..
The first floor, where our room was, was incredibly hot (this was end of April) and when walking upstair to get to our room it felt genuinely oppressive.. maybe a fan or some air circulation would have helped. it was nice space, with some old tools for printing, and it would have been nice to set it up somehow as a common area for guests. The cafe downstairs, under a porch, was also incredibly hot and humid (despite the fans) and had a lot of mosquitos also.
Wifi quality was poor.

The place was perfect for our first nights in Kochi, a very "original" place, the food was very nice and the personal gave us very valueable tips around the location. They sorted also out our forthcoming journey. Thanks a lot!

Instructions about how to turn on/off the lights and fan in the room would be useful

A lovely location, very hospitable staff and great value for money. The breakfast offered a nice choice and the lunch and dinner options are also amazing
The wifi in the rooms is a bit weak

Beautiful place. Amenities even included a hair dryer which is so convenient. Since I arrived late at night, they even kept my dinner ready in the room from their in-house restaurant.
They can offer a better price for solo travelers

Good breakfast. all i had there was tasty and authentic. friendly and helpful well-behaved staff.
in the bathroom, the fittings are old or not very well maintained. for eg. there wasn't any place to hook the shower in height. it was just kept on the water tap knob in the bath tub. it may not be the case of every room, i stayed in "wooden Mansion"

Great value for money and a beautiful communal space. The location is fantastic too. We enjoyed a simple, cheap lunch and a DELICIOUS but slightly more pricey dinner (the banana leaf fish was amazing). Perfect for a short stay.
The bed sheets are in need of an upgrade - not dirty but clearly well used.

The food provided was good. Very nice location everything is accessible and close by. Staffs were courteous and always listening and willing to help.
Though the food was good, still would be good if the food habits of people visiting from various states are also kept in mind before deciding the menu

Great! but in dire need for of maintenance.
Windows that couldn’t be latched from inside. Plain walls that could have been decorated with paintings. Mediocre latches and door knobs that did not go well with claimed “heritage” tag.

Extremely helpful. Courteous, Polite staff.
Quaint Colonial style property with large en-suite ac rooms overlooking a courtyard of money trees.
Master Chef Althaf was particularly helpful and generous with his time and agreed to teach us about the special Kerala style cooking and spices. This was the highlight of our trip:-)
Hygiene and cleanliness could be improved

The location is good, on a quiet street, but convenient for sight-seeing, restaurants and close to the river. It has lots of character and charm, with the rooms located in a courtyard. The restaurant, which is an independent business, serves excellent food at very reasonable prices for the quality. Breakfast, which was included in the price of the room, was served by the restaurant, and again, very good. The staff at both the restaurant and the hotel were helpful and friendly.
I discovered the rooms are not sound proofed... one night I had a problem with some noisy guests who had the room above me. I had to be up early to go travel to a wedding and the people (3 boys) were making a lot of noise until 3:30 am! Unfortunately no staff are at the hotel overnight, so I had to go and deal with it myself, which involved getting dressed and going up an external spiral staircase to reach the room. It was monsoon season, but luckily it wasn't raining at the time, otherwise it would have made the situation even worse! I had to go up twice and get angry with the boys, until they eventually shut up! I ended up only having 3 hours sleep. Not very happy and it spoiled the stay. No doubt many guests would have found the situation intimidating and difficult to deal with. The rooms are basic, but a good size. Water pressure wasn't very good and the water was only slightly warm (not a major issue due to the price paid for the room). Basic accommodation at a reasonable price. If a little money was spent on refurbishing the property it would make it really nice as it's generally a charming place with character

We liked absolutely everything about this place. The best location in Fort Kochi. We had a great walk nearby, many shops and food options. But the hotel also has its own restaurant with amazing stuff and food. Highly recommended! Very clean and spacious rooms. We are very pleased with our stay.
