All'arrivo a tarda notte abbiamo chiesto dell'acqua per i bambini e ci è stato detto di bere dal rubinetto, oppure di mettere la marmellata nell'acqua per creare il succo di frutta.. Marmellata lasciata da chissà chi è aperta da chissà quanto dentro un'anta sporca della cucina e inzaccherata di non so che. Cucina disordinata e sporca, il divano che si sbriciola che perde pezzi di plastica nera quando ti siedi, in pendenza e tutto storto, , il pavimento sporco con capelli negli angoli, mobili arrugginiti dalla salsedine, il parcheggio free promesso che non esiste.. Insomma tanti buoni motivi per non Consigliarlo. Ho viaggiato tanto e sono anni che affitto appartamenti, qui c'è un bel lavoro di pulizia da fare e anche lavorare sull'accoglienza degli ospiti.

It was amazing

The owner of the apartment was great! We felt very welcome, we checked the whole apartment upon arrival, she told us where the closest shop and beach was, showed us how to use the a/c and made sure that we would be comfortable. The beach is 3 minutes away, town centre is just a 15 minute nice walk along the shore. We enjoyed our stay and if we are ever back on Malta, we would love to stay here again.

Very good

Very spacious apartment with a nice balcony/terrace. Talkative and friendly host. There is some beach equipment to use.

There are some furniture that requires refurbishment or replacement. It concerns lamps in bathrooms, beds and couches.

Relaxing with beautiful views.

Superb location. Light and airy and brill large terrace. Easy to contact owner. Sea views were excellent. Walk round the corner to get to marvellous walk along the sea front.

very comfortable apartment and a nice location.

Very nice and comfortable property for our 3 day stay. Theres a lift to the penthouse and parking was free and easy to find on the street. Bedrooms are air conditioned for an additional charge, which given the energy crisis is a good thing. 10 euros was more than enough for our 3 day stay. Apartment was roomy with a lovely shower, and the balcony was a great space too.

The host seemed harassed on my arrival and I dont think she liked the look of me, but I found her likable enough and she left us alone for our stay which was great. The host stated a number of times that she would refund the unused air conditioning money, but as I expected there was no refund or offer of one. I think the host should just say unused credits are non refundable and leave it at that. There is a bizarre notice on the toilet wall and in the list of rules asking that no toilet paper is be flushed down the toilet, but there were no waste bags or suitable places to dispose of used toilet paper in the bathrooms. I feel the host should remove the sign or let people know of this rule before staying, as I would not willingly stay in a place with that rule.

A whole new experience

The location was good. The beach was just a quick walk. However note that some days there are lots of trash in the water + jellyfish. The apartment itself is quite big with 2 separate bathrooms and balconies. The centre of Marsaskala is a 15 minutes walk and there are 2 small shops two streets from the building. The building has a super slow but efficient elevator.

The payment didn't go through booking but by card on spot and the amount was 10 euros more than agreed on booking. The owner made a deal for us to not pay the deposit (which is against breaking anything) if we clean the apartment when we leave. My family has always left apartments in clean condition for the cleaners to deep clean them but never has any owner asked us to actually clean it for next quests (for free). Since the apartment was not very clean, we actually ended up spending our valuable vacation time to clean it twice - arrival and leave. The furniture is so old that one of the quest hurt his back when the bed collapsed during the night. Also some of kitchen utensils are broken before you start using them (including the stove). The air conditions are only in bedrooms and the living room/kitchen area is unbearably hot during the day. The thing with air conditions is that you have to buy a card for certain amount to use it. The owner will not recommend any number of how much you would need. So we first bought a 10 euros card, then 5 euros and 1 night before our leave the only option from the owner was to buy a 20 euros card. Since she promised us a refund we thought it's better than sleep and sweat. The amount you get for 20 euros is 105 units. We used less than half of it and with a weird math formulas the owner tried to say there was only couple of euros to refund and she will do it next time we will be in Malta which is NOT how normally refunds work. We do not care about the money but the fact that we left the apartment way cleaner than it was in the beginning and a little gift from Estonia to say thank you for our stay and in return we didn't get a single good word nor our refund. I can only be happy we didn't pay the 200 euros deposit to get it back next time visiting Malta! I have visited many airbnb and booking apartments and never met a host like that.

After paying about 650 €, I spent a day without air conditioning for an additional € 10, the extra amount is little but the method is provocative, I paid a large amount and for a day of conditioning I was asked to pay!

An apartment with great potential, unfortunately clouded by unpleasant smell and negligent hostess

Close to the beach, bus stops, grocery shops. Several balconies, including a big balcony with a partial sea view and outdoor furniture. Lots of air and space.

The attitude of the hostess and the condition of the apartment, inaccuracy of the photos and property description, dirtiness. We stayed there from October 15th to October 18th 2018. The place was dirty, kitchen counter, plates and cutlery were greasy, and the whole apartment smelled of rotten seafood. From the first day until the last night we kept finding carefully hidden seafood in almost every room, excluding the master bedroom and the smaller bathroom. The owner initially blamed the smell on the neighbors, but when we found the first pieces of the actual seafood placed under the kitchen stool, then she blamed it on the cleaning lady and/or her own (ex-)husband, and as we've just now discovered from the reviews on this site - even on a previous guest!!! (That would mean the property was not cleaned between two bookings.) She did very little to handle the situation: scraped up the bigger gunk, sprayed some detergent and perfume and left it as is, i.e. to be cleaned by us, and also kept stubbornly arguing that there is no more to be found even though the stink persisted. When we asked for refund (just the cleaning service fee included in the booking rate) she replied that it is not possible because she had already taken the money to the bank. :D Her overall attitude and behavior was very unprofessional. Also, the apartment is not that nice and shiny as on the photos: the surface of the couch was flaking off, metal legs of furniture were rusty, the advertised view was obstructed by several new buildings and a construction site just behind the house, and there was no hammock on the balcony, either. We would not recommend this property.

Dirty Awful disappointing misleading discription

Nothing actually the place was dirty the host was rude and aggressive as we asked for a plug for the bath she said she didn’t have one! And became quite indignant saying what do we expect for the money we have paid! the place smelt weird the massive building works outside the balcony the noise and dust drilling etc made it impossible to relax for my birthday so we asked to leave and so did early! I have picture if you like to show the state of the place. Thank you
