We stayed for seven nights in Apartamentos do Mar and had a very good experience. The apartment has a small balcony with a magnificent view. It is right on the ocean front promenade which offers lovely walks in both directions. It is close to many restaurants and the bus into the city center and historic district was close and easy to catch. The apartment was clean, the bed was comfortable, the shower was large and the compact kitchen was all we needed for making our breakfast or lunch. The washer and dryer was a great benefit. I would be happy to stay here again.

The building seemed a little worn but Apartment 301 was lovely. Parking was limited but we found a spot every night.

Comfortable, cozy apartment, good localization with unforgettable view on ocean and sunrise! You have everything you need inside. Free parking. Supermarket is about 7 minutes on foot. Friendly and helpful host, who gifted us Madeira wine.

I remember nothing

We love this apartment. Henrique is a brilliant host, so approachable and friendly, even when we had wifi issues. It had lovely sea views and is high enough to get a good perspective on Funchal. The beds are comfortable, too, and the balcony is lovely.

Nothing, really. It's a fantastic place. We did have some wifi issues, but Henrique was happy for me to contact him about these - mainly because it involved my work. We would like a clothes dryer for the balcony.

The owner of the apartment met us on arrival to take us to our room. He then handed room keys to us. He also welcomed us with Madeira wine and cookies. The room was nice and clean. The area was very quite and only a minute away to the beach. The owner also came to meet us for checking out. He then kindly took us to the hotel where we would stay a few days more. We wished to continue to stay in Apartment Do Mar but no room available for us.

Lovely decor and very comfortable. Everything you need has be thought about.

Our Trip to madeira was perfect. We have booked 7 days in this Appartment and enjoyed our time there. Everything was clean and the view is amazing. Mr. Teixeira is a very kind/friendly host. Thank you very much.

Our flight was delayed and the host waited for us to give us the keys at 00.30 at night. Also he booked us a transfer since we arrived to late to come by bus.

The only thing I missed was a rack to dry towels on

We loved Apartamentos do Mar. It is perfectly located with a great view and is well-equipped, in addition to being very comfortable. Henrique is a superb host and very attentive - he provides a fantastic service.

Nothing to dislike! The only [tiny] improvement would be some smaller wine glasses and extra teaspoons. Everything else is perfect.

We had a lovely week in Madeira and this studio provided the perfect base. We will be back.

Really friendly host, who met us at reception with the keys, helped with luggage, and showed us round the room, and offered any assistance we needed. Great communication too via WhatsApp. The 3rd floor room is sailing themed in a lovely homely style. The tiny kitchen was sufficient for our needs, and it was nice to have complimentary oil, balsamic vinegar, Madeiran wine & biscuits & nesspresso coffee pods provided. Very clever use of limited space, with comfy 2 large single beds put together, and a TV that can spin around to be viewed from the couch or the bed. Plenty of hot water in the spacious shower room, with overhead rain shower as well as hose. There was even a washer/dryer machine hidden in there. The highlight is the decked and pebbled balcony with 2 cushioned seats and small table, with fabulous views looking East along the shoreline, with waves crashing on the rocks below the Naval Club Lido, and the apartment pool below. Location is on a steep road, with nearby bars and restaurants and the large Forum shopping centre that hosts a very large Pingo Doce supermarket, cinema and shops. Lovely to breakfast outside with the rising sun. Cool shade in the afternoon. Bars and restaurants are within walking distance, along the main Monumental Road, and for sunsets, I recommend walking West along the promenade to the raised bars at Centromar.

Nothing was wrong, and not a complaint, but only to set expectations. The apartment block is a bit tired looking from the outside, and is mixed residency. There was some noise from neighbours, but not too much. Building works takes place in Funchal all the time, and a new Savoy is being built within sight of the balcony...but it’s interesting watching the ballet of the cranes swinging back and forward.

I liked everything. It is such a bright apartment with everything you need. Lovely balcony with a fantastic view. Thank you Henrique! You have been a great host!

Henrique is an amazing host who sincerely goes above and beyond for his guests: e.g. printed me out papers for travel, dropped me an umbrella when I requested, gave me a few rides up the hill etc.. He is also very discretional and respects your privacy at all times. Property and location met my expectation, the Host - exceeded. I also never saw any failures in cleanliness - which means all was perfect. The kitchenette contains all necessary things and small touches that really help - e.g. capsules for coffee machine, sugar etc.

Amazing views and good location in walking distance to lots of nice restaurants and shops. The apartment is compact but has everything needed for a short stay. Henrique was super helpful and friendly, we would definitely recommend staying here!

A fantastic place to work and travel! The view from the balcony is as beautiful as in the photos. Henrique is the best host, always willing to help and advise. The apartment is fully equipped. Quiet with very good Internet. I will definitely come back here next time. ;)

Beautiful view with sunrise. Very helpful host. Organized food due to curfew and when I forgot something he did everything so I could get it back.

Beautifully decorated and amazing view from balcony. Well located as close to promenade and Lidos and also close to good shopping centre called Forum Madeira.
